Little Z just followed big Z around all day - if she stopped to sniff something and Zero charged ahead - she'd get a worried look like "where is he?" He did almost sit on her a few times though Lol - he really needs to start watching where he puts that big fluffy butt! Poor little Z will be even smaller if he sits on her!

I have a full frame - the canon 5D mark ii. I upgraded from the 450D and I'm so glad I did though I do often find the limitations of the slower sensor. I would like to add to my kit with a 7D at some stage but the budget isn't close to allowing for it at the moment. I've found it a lot sharper, but then again, the jump from the 450D to the 5D can account for part of that. I do love being able to use my lenses to their full potential and would love to be able to add more to the collection. Maybe one day I'm now an occasional 5D DOP too (I shoot video on it for ads on foxtel) and I'm loving it for that! It's great because the video on it works with the same principles as the stills - ISO, shutter speed, aperture etc. Very handy! My photography knowledge has actually helped with my work

I think I'll probably go too with Zero - should be fun. Last time we went, Zero was rushed by another dog who wouldn't let up about wanting to eat him - it's sad but it happens. Keep a close eye on your dog.

A gorgeous photo of a gorgeous boy. I feel the same with Zero. He has problems with his back, his eyes and his ears and just can't do the things he used to. He's not even 7 yet But as I keep telling him, he's here for a good time, maybe not a long time. He does well enough - pulls up a bit tender sometimes but he's still a happy boy

My list expanded very quickly but it's dwindled again now that I know more about each of the breeds. I know what my next few will be and in all honesty, I don't think I'll go past those. I have plans as to what I want after I get my next dog and I think i'll end up a 2 (maybe three depending on a few things) breed person for a while.

That's gorgeous Lic!!

I'm constantly told Zero is a) going to kill my nieces and nephews, b) is a wolf, c) is untrainable and d) is unsafe to walk without a muzzle. Um.... that must be why he's an accredited therapy dog.

I wish I had a dog I could put in PJs! Zero loves dressing up but he doesn't really need it Love the photos TLC - your pack always looks so well behaved! I have to try for AGES to get Zero to stay in one spot for photos!

Tell him to try zooming in or out. My photos tend to look pixelated (they're not actually, they just look it) if I'm working with them at a certain size. If i zoom in or out, it puts them back to normal - it does the same thing for me in both CS4 (windows at home) and CS5 (Mac at work). Something whack with photoshop i guess.

I used a prong collar with Zero's highly reactive behaviour. He pulled me off my feet several times trying to get at other dogs. I found that it was the only tool that helped us. The halti/gentle leader/head collar (i think i went through like 4 of them) were all off him in a few seconds if he wanted to get free. He could slip them all off over his head without a problem if he wanted to, no matter how tight they were. His was properly fitted and we went through a training program with k9pro with it - i only needed it for about 8 weeks though. It's not been sitting in my cupboard gathering dust for about 2 years

I should also mention that said krispy kreme is drive thru.... good for me and for her
-
The EB might like to know that there's a krispy kreme around the corner from the animal pickup point That should cure any stress she'd have from the flight! Let me know when you're coming - i'm thinking of taking some time off in july so I'm happy to play chauffeur for you and Daisy.

What Do You Use To Organise Your Dog Stuff?
~*Shell*~ replied to heroeswit's topic in General Dog Discussion
I have a dog cupboard ;) It has different shelves for different stuff and then Z has a toy box outside. Leads and collars all go in a box on one of the shelves - it's the shelf i put all of the "going out" stuff on like my treat pouch and walkie belt poop bag refills. The next shelf down is where I keep Zero's food containers, the bottom shelf has his harness and backpack on it (and his shampoo/conditioner). On the top shelf I have training gear like 2 still packaged phone books so we can do backend awareness stuff, cones, tennis balls and a box of clickers. Then above the cupboard I keep his gym ball because I'm training him in treiball and if he sees the ball in the house, he will go and stand behind it Grooming equpiment goes in a massive tool box I have - it's two levels and keeps everything i need in it. -
Go Digby!!!!

I have a "I can make it to the fence in 2.8 seconds, can you?" sign with a siberian husky on it and I also have a "This area patrolled by siberian husky security company" sign. Both of them have sat in my cupboard for years. I want to put them up when I move.

I didn't have a real connection with Zero until he had been here for 18 months - he was an aggressive, wary, difficult, reactive nightmare who didn't want anything to do with me. He was just so hard to be around and do anything with. Don't get me wrong, I loved him (or loved the idea of him, i'm still not sure) but I didn't like him very much. He made life difficult because life with him was a constant battle. Earning his trust and finally finding someone who could help with his problems really was the turning point for us. A lot of that was because we started to understand eachother and now we work really well together. He's turned into such a mumma's boy and has become the easiest dog in the world to live with. He's my heart dog and I now wouldn't change those first 18 months for anything - it was a steep learning curve for both of us and I think it's made what we have really strong.
