  1. Is scooter a portia baby? If so, that's AWESOME!!! Awesome photos Luke - can't wait to see more!!!
  2. I had my cat desexed through the RSPCA Auxilliary - cost me $40 + a little bit more for pain killers. They were awesome! I was at uni when I had to get Mow desexed and I wouldn't have had the money to get it done until much later. When it was offered to me, I jumped at the chance.
  3. Hahahaha - the only thing that would turn me off ever getting one is that they all managed to go from clean to filthy in about 2.4 seconds. Rachel cleaned out their run before we got there and within seconds of getting out, they looked brown and brown
  4. Um yes.... Zero winks. Usually when there's a lappie pup around... dirty old man. (photos courtesy of Terranik)
  5. My sibe is okay with cats when they're moving at normal speed - when they start to run, they're in all kinds of trouble. He's generally pretty good with my cat but i don't trust him alone with Mow and I would NEVER trust him with someone else's cats.
  6. Having spoken to a couple of people overseas who own klee kais I'm totally not interested - both of them said that they had to go through a lot of different kennels to find a breeder who didn't have dogs with temprement issues in their lines. Just hearing that would turn me off them. In truth, I mostly just don't like the look of them. The sibe markings without the structure to go along with it is just strange to me.
  7. Don't forget the green and purple to go with that red and white.... A Freo supporter I have plenty of stuff those colours to dress Toby in :p From way back All the cool kids (and dogs) are freo supporters!
  8. Don't forget the green and purple to go with that red and white....
  9. I want a Frodo one day - he cracks me up! Seems like the week for cute poodle photos I can't believe we're up to week 13 already! I thought i would get like 5 maybe 6 photos of mow and then get sick of it! Week 10 - "So we meet again cockroach...." Week 11 - "Yes, my toy is a feather boa.... your point is?" Week 12 - "I will destroy you"
  10. I'm sorry for your loss Lic Hope you're okay. My photos for the last 3 weeks are uploading. It'll probably be a while!
  11. I have a k9 royale 2 crate for Zero and it's definitely starting to look worn after about 18 months. He hasn't scratched his way out of it (the mesh has stood up really well) but the corners are starting to come apart and the material has holes in the bottom of it. I don't think i've been very hard on it but I probably have - I use it once, maybe twice a week, at obedience training and Zero just curls up in the back of it and sleeps. The only realy issues we've had are from when Zero put his weight on one of the sides (the top was open and he put his front paws up on the railing that holds the left side of it up) and he managed to break the slide that locks it in place. It was surprisingly easy to fix when I got in contact with them and ordered the part - it arrived very quickly and they were very helpful. My next crate will be a k9pro crate - Zero really needs a smaller crate than the one he's got now. 122cms is just ridiculous! His current crate can now become our "inside" crate when I move and i'll just have his name embroidered on the front of the new crate like he has with his current crate
  12. You wouldn't have had much of a bag left by the time you got outside! They were demons for tug so they probably would have eaten your bag by the time you got out the gate! They were insanely cute though!
  13. Just a few more because I can And one just because I think it's funny - puppies looking in 3 different directions:
  14. I'm not worried about leaving Zero but there are some days where he makes it bloody hard! We usually play some ball or do some training in the morning and he wags his tail and looks happy. When i go to leave, his tail drops and his ears go from being right on the top of his head, to the sides. Poor boy looks soooooo sad.
  15. I know know how anyone can go past a keeshond puppy. They're the cutest and even though I don't have one, I have been tempted many many times.
  16. A friend at work has the 60D - i don't see much of a difference as far as the sharpness of it goes compared to the 40D or 50D. ISO it performs better at high ISO and the flip out screen is a good idea if you are wanting to get a photo at a strange angle but I wouldn't use it regularly - i'd still be a view-finder kind of girl. I don't think you'll be unhappy with it if you get the 60D. If you really want the 7D though, wait for a few months. There's no use buying the 60D if what you really want is the 7D.
  17. Congratulations - nice first photos! Hope you love your new toy!
  18. I know the feeling! There wasn't one puppy in the group that was the slightest bit quiet and none that didn't want to play with you. I could be tempted! ETA: Neither of us at the moment TLC! The wait for a wrangham puppy is over a year at the moment! Huski is very very interested but even if she wanted one, it's a long wait!
  19. Huski and I went to Melbourne on the weekend and were lucky enough to meet some of the most gorgeous puppies in the world. They're field (working) English Springer Spaniels and were just to die for. The majority of these puppies are destined to become working dogs - everything from police work to retrieving. A huge huge thank you to Rachel from Wrangham kennels for letting us come to visit and for letting me get the camera out!! What they spent the majority of the time doing
  20. That would have been awesome when I had my old camera. Not something I need now

  22. We see a lot of them come through our obedience club. Some of them are nice dogs but it's not uncommon to see hyperactive poodle x dogs (no matter what the cross is) and I haven't yet had one of them say "we researched so and so cross breed for a while", most of them walked into the local pet shop and just handed over the money. In comparison, the owners of purebreed dogs that come through our club usually say to me "oh we looked at this breed and that breed and then decided on puppy's breed" - i also get a whole lot fewer comments about Zero from those people. I tend to get a lot of "i wanted one of them" (sibe) from the people who did their research - it's amazing what a little bit of googling can do.
