  1. Awesome photos all! I'm being slack again and taking photos but not uploading them! I will get to it tonight... maybe.
  2. Zero is known for his facial expressions! These are the common ones: Happy (aka, who gave the dog drugs?): Sad (aka, I've just rolled in the mud and now I'm not allowed to go inside to lie on the couch): Relaxed (aka, you go off and wash that car/do that gardenning/clean out my crate/do that washing, i'll be over here, not helping): In trouble (aka, I've done something really really wrong and you've just caught me in the act): Cheeky (aka, I've done something wrong, you know about it but I'm trying to be cute so I get away with it anyway): Over it (aka, get this effing thing off me, and stop pointing that camera at me, you sick, sick human):
  3. It's funny to post in the other thread and see everyone's photos and then post in this thread and see the same ones! I have got a little bit of a backlog again due to a big (and crappy!) weekend. 8th January - loving my favourite movie of all time and the reason Zero is named Zero, the nightmare before christmas. Jack Skellington makes me happy. 9th January - loving spending an afternoon out with friends for one of my best friend's birthdays at Opera Bar. For all those not in Sydney, opera bar is right under the opera house, lookout out towards the harbour bridge. 10th January - loving "Hairy Potter", aka Kairu (spitzbaby's gorgeous little man) who has been in the wars this week but is eternally happy and smiley (including letting us tape a wand to his cast and dressing him up as a wizard). We think that the scratch on his face makes him look like harry potter so it kind of fits 11th January - loving finding things to laugh about on days where everything is sad. I have had a bad few days and so coming out to an insanely dirty dog cracked me up this morning. At least someone is getting some fun out of the rain.
  4. Oooooooo coffee and kuldunai.... nom nom nom. 5. Personally, given the choice between the two, i would go for the 500D - if i had $1300 to play with, my choice would be wildly different but that's only because of the few years of experience I have with cameras now and what I have chosen to do with mine. I have friends who still shoot on the 350D and love it.
  6. You can also do it with the background erase tool. No need for masks then! ;)
  7. Teach them new tricks! My favourite was "get it" which was taught to Zero when I hurt my back. It pretty much involves Zero picking up anything I point to and giving it to me.
  8. Ummmmm - i think i need these: Minus the blue eyes, it looks like Zero!
  9. Completely agreed! Come say hi in the Spitz thread, Katalily, there are stacks of Lappie owners in there. ;) Lol - a few in particularly who you would know! Glad Helen passed on the message!
  10. http://www.dogzonline.com.au/classifieds/forsale.asp?cat=2 There's a fido's deluxe available on the classifieds. They come up there quite often. You just have to keep checking back or your could put a wanted ad up here: http://www.dogzonline.com.au/classifieds/wanted.asp
  11. Mine from today and yesterday are still on my camera. I'm happy to take the photos, i just can't edit them fast enough!
  12. Grumpy and Mini didn't cost me anything but their 'kennel' and 'run' cost $320,000 ... ;) Hahahaha - Zero's car cost me $32k ;) The big selling point of the x-trail was that i could fit his crate in the boot
  13. I'm still continuing with my Month of Love theme so here's the latest 4th January - one of the fluffy loves of my life, my heart dog, Zero (who is feeling a whole lot better and isn't in pain anymore so now plays! He is however, very uncoordinated and regularly cracks me up when he's trying to chase something) 5th January - Not to be outdone, the other Fluffy, Mow. 6th January - My gorgeous x-trail (i'm especially loving that it's clean and shiney at the moment!) 7th January - not the best photo in the world (and i think i look horrible!) but you've got to love a big night out and new adventures (my friend is moving to another state on tuesday and it was his farewell)
  14. Hey guys, I will get to updating the OP when I can (tomorrow) so hang tight until then! Here is my contribution to 52 weeks of Mow - I call it "Le Mystère" which means "The Mystery". Mow's real name is Mystery but he only ever gets called that when he's in big trouble. My aim for this week was just to get a shot of him that doesn't look like complete crap... I think I will do 52 weeks of me as well but I'll take that shot tomorrow!
  15. There are already some awesome photos in here! My week is running monday-sunday so this is my week 1 photo: The Fluffy Supervisor: We have a running joke about Zero being the fluffy supervisor of any work we do at home. He has to have his nose into everything. Thankfully he usually gets bored and gives up after about 10 minutes and so regularly falls asleep on the job. If only we could all be so lucky. I spent the day washing and vacuuming out my car after being very hard on it for a couple of months - Zero spent the day in the shade of the garage door, on his outside bed (which i dragged out the front from around the back), sleeping, playing with his toy and watching me. It must be so hard to be him I don't even know why I bother tethering him when I let him out the front. It's not like he's going anywhere fast!
  16. Finally got around to getting myself organised... then had to take tonight's shot but I just don't have the time to edit it so I'll get to it tomorrow... i hope I'm still continuing with my Month of Love theme so here's the latest 4th January - one of the fluffy loves of my life, my heart dog, Zero (who is feeling a whole lot better and isn't in pain anymore so now plays!
  17. Mine is 15 months old I think - not very old at all. Maybe I'll have a rant when I go in there and see what they say. $250 to fix a known fault is ridiculous.
  18. My 1.4 has just been taken back into canon for repair after it stopped being able to focus at all. $250 to fix. Ouch! I've read on a couple of forums that it's pretty common for the 1.4 - not sure about the 1.8.
  19. I should really get around to putting my photos up! So slack but I have no time atm. Will hopefully get to it tomorrow!
  20. Lol - Zero cost me $300 to "buy" from the pound. So far he's had about $2000 in training/behavioural management, $5000 in vet costs, not to mention the thousands of dollars spent on his welfare and "stuff" he needs. Worth every cent IMO. What's going to happen when the dog gets sick for the first time? $350 is nothing. I would rather have a dog from the RSPCA that i know is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and doesn't come with known behvaioural problems than an unknown from someone who just dropped the dog off to me.
  21. For Zero I smother the tips of his ears in lanolin so that the flies can't actually get to the skin and then i just spray some repellant over the top. Works a treat. The lanolin kind of cements the hair on the tips of his ears together when it dries so it's not the nicest of looks but he came to me with flybitten ears and lanolin was the most natural thing I could think of to put a barrier between his skin and flies.
  22. Awwww- cute butts! Some fluffy sibe tooshie: And some un-groomed sibe tooshie:
  23. Hahahaha - my cat does exactly the same thing GN! Day 003 of my project 365: My favourite shoes in the whole world!
  24. Awesome photos again today! Love your kja! A month of love continues with my favourite pair of shoes in the world - limited edition winged chuck taylors. They're a size too small but I don't care. Awesome things happen when I wear these shoes!
  25. Hahahaha - the book fell like that when i threw it on my bed but i stupidly moved it and then spent 10 minutes trying to do it again before resorting to sticky tape!
