  1. Hog away Huga, great shots! Wish I had jammies with feet
  2. Sounds like you have already made up your mind to keep her She is a sweet little thing! *note to self cannot have 4 dogs* *I repeat cannot have 4 dogs*
  3. Oh Jj thats bloody aweful the poor little puppy, hope he comes good now! CB, Im sure you will find a home for the little one, Can't you ring the puppy buyers from the earlier enquiries? They may be still interested?
  4. Meant to add, I think once your open they will be frequent flyers. one of them is a FF of Aqualife
  5. Don't worry I have talked you up big time! I noticed today they have both "liked" your reptile page!
  6. Just sent msg with that info for them, it will be interesting to see how they go! Thanks!
  7. The guy that wants the snake is in Melbourne today and tomorrow and he was going to do the rounds of all the rptile places to get an idea of price etc, aparently one place had sold 20 snakes but I guess thats not many for a major city. He really wanted to wait and buy off you but he got given a case/enclosure that was basically all set up for snakes so he didn't want to wait. y other friend is getting a bearded dragon. But I am clueless will they just be able to walk into a shop and buy these reptiles won't they need permits? I didn't go into it with them just assumed they knew what they were doing!
  8. It is something I hate to think about too but I guess necessary. Our plan if something happens to me is My OH to keep the two older ones and my mum to take the two younger ones. Seems this would be the best situation for the dogs as work would prevent my OH giving all 4 dogs the life they deserve/need but with two it would be managable for him. I suppose it is good in theroy to have a plan in place but who knows when the time comes if it would pan out that way! I would hate to think of mine living out thier days in a kennel environment, I'd rather have them PTS and buried with me. I told my mum that one day and she just about flipped her lid, she couldn't handle the thought of it.
  9. Ah ok, that makes sense! And I thought as much. My mates at work are heading up to Ballarat on the weekend to go to the reptile shop up there for a look. They literally can't wait till you open.
  10. Hey Jj, hows Jess today? Also quick question, Do you already have stock for your shop that you are able to sell before you open? Such as snakes & bearded dragons??
  11. I'm with you! I'd prefer jot to vaccinate but am too scared not to, mine are always with other dogs at dog parks etc and id be scared they would pick something up. The reaction my boy had was his whole face, airways etc blew up and he couldn't breath. Thankfully we were 5 mins away from the vets after it happened sp we rushed right back and they gave him an injection to reduce the swelling, some kind of anti histamine I think. Very scary, so I have been wary ever since. Unless you can convince your boarding place to accept Titer tests then I don't see any other option?
  12. My oldest boy now 5 had a severe reaction to his final vaccine as a young puppy and we nearly lost him. as a result at vaccination time I'm always a nervous wreck. I just make sure the day they have the injection that I'm home and can keep an eye on them.
  13. Fabulous shots, love the second and third ones the best, very soulful expression on Daisys face in those shots!
  14. Your right about the doctors they are so quick to just chuck any sort of meds at you and not get to the bottom of the problem. I'm just glad I really only need reliever occasionally in winter. However this WC has really taken a hold which I think is par for the course of the disease, I just have to ride it out now. I do hate having to be reliant on the puffers at times but if I didn't have them I just wouldn't be able to function, so I just have to suck it up if a fairy god mother give me one wish at the moment it would be to have healthy lungs.
  15. As far as I understad it once you blow out/overexpose a shot or part of a shot, there isn't any way to fix it as technically there is no pixels in the blown out area to work with. Hope that makes sense. Perhaps experienced people know a way? White dogs are hard to shot, Some good tips from PC, I usually find I just have a play to see what works in different situations as what works for one won't work for another.
  16. My first thought would be UTI, a trip back to the vet to rule that out before anything else. Is he normally a heavy sleeper? Wonder if it is possible for dogs to be like some kids that just don't wake and wet the bed but I would think if that was the case it would have been happening all along? Good luck, hoepfully someone else will come along with some other ideas!
  17. I do agree Asthma is a bloody aweful thing, I never had it as a kid and only developed it about 8 years ago in my early 30's, not badly but bad enough to require prevention in winter and a reliever on occasion. No one else in my immediately family has it but my brothers boys have it. Seems to be so common now days. Well I hope Jess is on the improve even more by tomorrow. Something I did read in all the WC literature is that asthmatics are much more susceptible to WC that a person without asthma. The Dr has put me on a new puffer called symbicourt which does away with preventative and reliver as it is all in one. It's great as now I don't have to take two!
  18. love it! They look so adorable!
  19. Well I made it through two afternoons at work, I was so glad when today was finished, I'm still coughing like a nutter, especially night and morning, but my voice is so hoarse, the customers were all taking a step back, I am so over having to explain that I am not contagious now. Think I will spend the next couple of days recouperating from the last two! Then Friday morning I have to start at 7, god help me! JJ how is Jess do you have a positive diagnosis yet? Hope she is ok!!

  21. It sounds like the food is not agreeing with your boy, if it was me I'd be swapping food to see if their is a change. When I have changed my guys diet I have done it over a period of about a week. Don't be scared to try different foods it will only benefit your dog in the long run once you find the right one. Are you also feeding bones or anything else?
