  1. That's so great Gayle, what do the rest of gang think of her? Any photos yet? Nothing to add from me, I've always had puppies.
  2. I only snapped it with my iphone, I realized after work when I was walking the dogs that I had no photo for the day and I seen all the birds on the ground and seen my opportunity, grabbed my phone and waited Nice dog tag, I'm a sucker for blingy doggy stuff!!
  3. Wow so many great pics. I so look forward to this thread every day!! Buzz off Birds by CLTB, on Flickr
  4. Geez Tenties, you will have none left at that rate!!
  5. Love Jazz and her intense stare! RV, gotta love the cuz. Great shots, love the second one especially. CM, love the ears in the first shot, funny Chester looks like he has found some interesting smells.
  6. Nice shots guys! Keep up the good work!
  7. I think there was another thread about this earlier today?
  8. Forgot to add the pet expo sounds awesome! Sadly I have to work and don't think I could go to something like that without a fist full of $$ I am a sucker for all things doggy!!
  9. Ok great! Thanks for giving me a boost Jess, my older 3 all work well off lead. The thing with Bronson is he always sticks close ( he is a sooky mammas boy ) and is very focused but he feels more secure on the lead. But today being a small group he was quite relaxed, so it was a great. I will be able to concentrate on my lot some more now as far as training goes as I have scaled down at obedience. Just realized how silly that sounds.
  10. Thats so great Jess, it is a nice feeling when it all comes together. I was proud of Bronson today too, we only had a small group and I worked with him off lead, and he was great. No where near the standard of your girls Jess but very pleased all the same considering we have done nothing obedience wise since early Dec. We only do a stocktake once a year if we get a good result, if we don't then it is every 6 months. Gee 8 audits in 3 days sounds excessive? I am not looking forward to stocktake everyone is usually pretty manic, doing a stocktake on a place like Bunnings is a logistical nightmare when we have to deal with customers as well. I won't have to count till the later part of Tuesday evening after we shut as they have me on the floor for customers, not sure which is worse as we have most of the team counting and a skeleton staff to serve people. Im hoping it won't be too busy that day. I did a little photo shoot with Bronson in the tub earlier and this was the result if anyone wants to have a look http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=3258...mp;l=e3865a58d1 Bronson is my project dog this year for the 52 week project and If it doesn't rain it pours, I either get no good ones to choose from or too many to choose from. Jess are you on face book? I'd ook you up but I don't even know your last name?
  11. I know it was my favorite cause he just looks like he is lapping it up and loving it.
  12. I decided to do a photo shoot with Bron in the bath this week, well I got so many shots that I thought were ok, it was really hard to choose just one! Tub Time by CLTB, on Flickr If anyone wants to see the rest, I popped them in an album on my face book. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=3258...mp;l=e3865a58d1
  13. Dog training started back today and JJ there were some people who bought along a puppy for puppy classes and you will never guess what sort it was?? An 11 week old Vizsla, his name is Bear and he is sooo cute. Of course I had to ask them where they got him as I knew a couple of breeders in town. Not sure if they rang you but they said they had chatted with Donna. They got the pup from Geelong. He is also very clever and switched on too! Whats everyone else been up to anything exciting?? All kids back to school etc etc. We are doing stocktake at work this week so much fun NOT!!
  14. Whoops sorry I just assumed it was you Now I am assuming it is one of the girls in your other shot.
  15. Nice shots PC, your photos are always so crisp and clear!
  16. Not the Mac book! Is it dead? I have friends who had a can of drink spilt on thiers and they claimed it on thier house insurance and had a new one in no time....
  17. Great shots, love the movement in your first shot, you look like your on a mission!!
  18. This sounds good. Do you know whether it has good results with food allergies - its got chicken fat so if my dog is allergic to chicken, that would set him off. Reason i say this is the main protein in the food i feed at the moment is chicken... i doubt he is allergic to chicken but who knows at this stage! I read in the thread you posted they come in white bags (so there is no packaging and just white plastic bags with no nutrient guide or anything?) . How is freshness maintained if that is the case? The bag does have a nutrient guide on it just like a regular bag of dog food, the bags are no different than any other premium kibble you would buy only difference is they are not flashy just all white. I think shelf life of BH is 18 months but keeping freshness is up to the purchaser, air tight containers will keep the food fresher than just a regular container. It would be no different keeping it fresh the same as other premium stuff. I don't keep mine in air tight containers but with 4 I do go through it at a reasonable pace so not really any need.
  19. I mentioned in the other thread about a guy in my town who just clips of basically down to the skin, he is fully qualified and has been grooming for years but still he just butchers! Get em in and get em out make a quick buck and if an unsuspecting new dog owner comes along not knowing what is the norm he takes advantage and takes the quick option. Even if people had to be licenced etc still means they could do a shoddy job! I think the ones that do the best job are the true dog lovers, they want the dog to look good and take pride in thier work.
  20. My hat goes off to you guys that do professional grooming. People don't realize how much of a job it is. I think people need to have some sort of qualifications or formal type training if they are going to charge a decent amount to clip a dog. I love to clip my own as I said in the other thread but am by no means perfect at it. It took a while for me to be happy with the outcome and mine were real guinea pigs for quite a few months till I feel I got it right for me and for them. I am lucky all of mine with the exception of Cooper (he is tetchy with his front feet and it is hard to get them right) are just fantastic with being bathed, clipped, blowdryed etc but I think it is because from 8 weeks of age they were subjected to the dryer, the clipper noise etc etc. A little off topic, I know with difficult dogs they may need you to be a little more firm with them, but a while ago I was in one of the big chain pet shops that do grooming etc and the way one of the poor dogs was being treated by the groomer was just horrific. They have a big glass window where you can watch the dogs being groomed and the poor dog was being man handled beyond belief. Just wanted to add in the nearly 3 years Ive been clipping my lot, not one bit of blood shed I am pretty pleased with myself and always extremely cautious as I would be devestated if that happened and also know it would set the dog back if that happened.
