I remember Oscar having the trouble with the uti and crystals, you might remember I had similar trouble with my boy Cooper. So it's great to hear the positive stories about this food. I'll look forward to changing them to something made in Oz for sure!

Petstock told me it was made in Australia. Maybe some places get preference over others. This is the second time i have needed a bag and there has been none and they can't get any in. Not sure why. Got the nutro samples in the post today they were very quick. 4 bags of 150 gram 2 chicken and 2 lamb.

Mmmm wonder how that's working out for them now that there is a shortage of EP :rolleyes: I thought all pet stocks would have been similar? But maybe they are privately owned? Ours sometimes sells kittens and puppies come to think of it I have seen any kitties and pups there for a long time maybe they have changed thier policies, one can only hope, it's difficult when you live in a rural area and are limited for places to shop at!!

With the eagle pack you can swap between flavors without a worry. I had wondered the same thing and emailed the company and asked them and they said it was fine. I am lucky with my guys, they seem to have cast iron guts and can eat anything any time. :rolleyes: however I do attempt to give them a structured diet, but if I stray a bit it doesn't effect them at all.

I haven't started mine on it yet, but I'm going to go with the chicken to start with as that's the EPH they are on now is chicken. Mine have lamb bones so I'm sure they will love the lamb too. I'm wondering if people alternate between the two flavours?

Wow that's a pain, one of the main reasons I'm swapping is due to not being able to get the eagle pack. Im hoping the nutro will stay in vogue at our local pet stock. Not sure if anyone else in town sells it here.

I have one too, Cooper hates his own and the other 3s pooh as well. Side skirts around it and will go as far as possible away to pooh if we are out and about! Funny dogs.... Edited to add is it Poo or Pooh? I'd hate to be in politically correct about pooh/poo

Not sure about the 1080 this year. The place to contact is Parks Victoria, I'm sure they would email you a map with the areas of concern. Last year it was all the way from Levys to just before the main beach at kilarney. I haven't worried yet this year as I haven't been out there.

So true Amypie, what works for some may not work for others. I have just come from pet stock after talking to them again today, they say it is much easier to get Nutro as it's Autralian made and they also have a loyalty program buy 10 bags get one free. Also had an email from the company and they are going to send me out some samples to try. Have to get through the majority of the 15 kg if EPH before we start a new bag. I will buy the Nutro before the EP is finished so I can change them over gradually. Thanks for all the replys.

Can I ask why you use both dry? Why not just stick with one?

Well I might just give it a try, it is going to be trial and error anyway as I have two over weight one who struggles to keep weight on and one perfect! Rysup was it your boy that had a skin allergy? If I've got this right did you find the nutro made a difference? One of my girls has a slight allergy to grass it's worse in summer and I have found she is much better on the EP.

Good idea might be worth it to see if what I heard is true! I'm over this whole dog food dilemma, think they can all go hungry for a while

I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself properly, the thing I'm getting at is the nutritional value. If I stick to the same amount of food that I am feeding now with EP but change to Nutro if the guide says they need a lot more nutro per kilo then does that mean I am compromising on nutritional value. Hope I am explaining myself properly?? If I need to feed more nutro per kilo I'm assuming you need extra per kilo because the dog needs more to make up the same nutritional value as the EP? Arghhhh think I'm just confusing myself, I know it is only a guide and I don't always stick to it. It does depend on what else if anything they have had for the day and also excersise they have done. I hope someone understands what im getting at?
