  2. Im not even sure exactly which part of Melb is SE but there is a nice little fenced park in North melb it is called Clayton park. Also the brighton dog beach is awesome and fully fenced. There is a huge big off lead park in West Footscray its called Martin reserve it is in Essex street.
  3. We have something similar to CGC at our obedience school it is called the well behaved dog program. it is a class that we have our handlers do before they actually start full obedience classes. This program is council recognized and you get a certificate and a little tag on completion. Have you thought about having Charlie assessed to become a Delta therapy dog? Sounds like he would be great at that. I am having my girls assessed next weekend, I'm really looking forward to it.
  4. I'm with you Jess this weather is really pissing me off now, and I quite enjoy winter but so much rain im well and truly over it!! 3 of my little cherubs decided today 5 minutes before I went to work to have a zoomie race around the back yard in and out and under trees through all the water lying around. Needless to say they were black from the tummy down, and I was well suitably unimpressed since they stay inside when I go to work!! Mine are like your too Jess it could be minus 1 and they would still swim, the water looked so cold with all that foam!
  5. What a gorgeous shot of the love birds, it looks like Zero is telling Soaks a secret and she is laughing! I agree about my first shot, I was trying to even up the darkness but it just didn't work. I would have much prefered the background to be all the same color!
  6. Gorgeous shots Shell! The doggies look like they are having fun!!
  7. Great shots, love the first one especially, they look like they were having fun, it would have been chilly.
  8. What a beautiful boy he is, can't believe he is one already gee this year has gone by fast!!
  9. Im right behind you, only paused long enough to look a little closer at the close up, that is amazing Great shots, you are very brave!!
  10. If you do decide to change his diet, you will need to have some of what you are feeding not so you can gradually change. Swapping from one food to another cold turkey is not a good idea. A gradual change is better. Hope your dogs ears are getting better byt he day. Do you have a photo of him you can post?
  11. She has certainly turned from a gorgeous Puppy into a beautiful girl!! Lovely photos!!
  12. week 35 (I think) Haven't decided which one of these to use?? Think I might go with the first one. this one is of my pup who sat inside the whole time whining while I took some shots of Cooper, the minute I let him out he was up on the seat posing
  13. Great photos, looks like she had a ball. How disappointing to drive all that way and have it cancelled. Obedience was a bit of a wash out this morning but I only had to drive 2 mins to that!
  14. Wonder if the peel is still toxic if they are cooked? Glad Elbie is ok!
  15. Thats Lovely Helen, beautiful and soft!
  16. So true the sun is out now how bizarre!!
  17. Its not looking good for our walk tommorow!
  18. My guys are poodle x cocker spaniel. I had lots of trouble with my oldest when he was a pup, he had perforated ear drums so it was a long road to recovery for him and there was no explanation as to why it happened. Since then I am right onto their ears and the vet has always commented on how good their ears are which is great. What does your vet recommend about plucking. Definatley ring your vet in the morning and see what they say?
  19. I would definatley NOT be giving him the tablets if he has had such a reaction. Mine have had ear infections and the surolan is enough to clear the infection up. If it is bad enough to need AB's then your vet should prescribe a different type. I'm not sure how you can get drops out of the surolan bottle as it is very thick. It is usually prescribed in a syringe measurement. What type of breed is your pup? I don't fully agree with fully plucking the ears if there is a lot of hair some plucking is good. Out of my 4 only one needs slightly plucking. I like them to have small amount of hair so things don't go in there when we are out and about. I clean my dogs ears once a week with oticlean.
  20. all those cute whippet Butts!! Evolving, great shots, love the paw on the face shot. Is your Echo related to TN's Ahsoka? Alera is getting huge!
  21. Yes he is mine his name is Bailey. I had wanted a Birman since I was about 12 so I waited about 20 years for him he is a lovely boy, not much of a people cat, he usually hides if we have visitors. He is a beautiful boy.
  22. Your boy looks lovely, he lived to a good age. My kitty is in fact a Birman (seal point) he is a pure bred boy from a breeder up near Hamilton. He was out of a litter of 3 and two of them were miss marked so not show quality. (see the little white on his nose and there is a bit under his chin) I don't find Bailey loses a huge amount of hair, he never matts and I brush him about once a week. He even doesn't mind a bath on the odd occasion. And he is definatley not an indoor cat, he comes and goes during the day and hangs around the yard or plays with the neighbours cat. We are lucky we live in a quiet street. They are beautiful cats but he doesn't spend a lot of time around the dogs as they want to play with him and drag him around and he just lets them and I'm scared they will hurt him in play as there is four of them. One on one he is fine although Im sure Tully thinks he is a toy This was a while ago This is Bailey with my older girl Holly she will be 19 this year
  23. Theresa, sorry to hear about your losses, it takes so long to get over when they go, my thoughts are with you! Did the kitty look like this The weekend is supposed to be fully rained out but we will see, I hope they are wrong. I have had two great walks today and yesterday its been great to get the dog out they have loved it. If Sunday is Ok I will probly be heading out after training.
