I thought mine would freeze even though coated so I put thier winter woolies on. But I dont think they felt the cold one little bit, too busy running. They did all snuggle together in the car on the way home though.

Great shots, beautiful country side. I have taken mine to the snow once (bit of a trek from here) and I wasn't sure if they would like it but they absolutley had a ball. They were face planting in the snow and all, I have photos somewhere! of course!!

Thats great love the walking on water one! I love living close to the beach but will admit to not going as often as I would like too. The dogs love it. A couple more Our beach We are so lucky to have two dedicated dog beaches in town and about 15 minutes out is another where you can just walk for miles.

Hey Guys I don't want to come in here and be a downer but does anyone believe that some dogs are just not made for or meant to retrieve? My oldest I didnt bother much with, he will pick things up bring them to me only wanting to be chased and retieved well enough to be able to pass a few classes in obedience. My second girl, I worked with her on retrieving for months and no matter what I did she just was not interested. My third girl is just awesome at retrieving and was from the minute she got here, throw anything and she will bring it back, she will bring it, hold it, drop it, the lot! My youngest is average and I never pushed it with him as we didn't advance to a higher level in obedience and we changed obedience places and it wasn't something he was required to do. So I guess my question do some dogs just have 'it' in them? and some really have to work at being taught to retrieve? IS it posible that some will just never do it? Or did I just give up to easily? I don't feel I did I really tried but when Tully came along and was a natural I realized I was fighting an uphill battle with Lacy, she wasn't enjoying the battle and neither was I so I let it go.

Someone mentioned this place in another thread and I noticed they are similar to DWI in price, I just wondered if anyone has purchased anything from them before and did it all go smoothly. This place has possibly been discussed in other threads but a search didn't bring up anything with the same name. Have a look at the gear HERE

It is such a great place, we have been a few times now, but I live 3 hours west so its a bit of a trip for us. I have a friend who lives 10 mins away and we have been together a couple of times. It's the price that kills me, if you have limited number of dogs it's $15 each, so for me its $60 and I think that was for 2 hours, might have been an hour and a half, I can't remember exactly. We did a group booking once and we had over 10 dogs so it was $10 per dog.

Thank you so much for the lovely compliment. I love to hear about what everyones dogs like to do. It's great so many people are so active with their dogs and their dogs live a full life, I'd love to be closer to places that do other activities, fly ball agility etc but we just make our own fun. A couple of my guys at Kepala, we don't get there often enough but when we do they make the most of it. The agility run was all mud but the dogs didnt care. Guess what the boys are looking at here?

Bec is Wisdom your dog?

Your dogs are gorgeous! looks like they are having a ball. I took my guys to the park today and my friend is fostering a Rotti and she is beautiful so placid and layed back. For fun my guys like to run off leash at the park, one is ball crazy! They love any kind interaction with people. The love obedience training. We've dabbled in tracking and agility for fun and they loved that too. Oh and swimming, the beach is their favorite thing! Just a couple of snaps from today. At their favorite park. An elderly man who brings his dog to the park twice every day, he loves all the dogs around him, today he had treats, this is Tessa (Rotti) My lacy and Floyd (who belongs to the man) Tessa Lacy and Tully getting some treats. Running with their buddies, this is Mawson. Just one of Tessa because she is so cute, hoping she finds her forever home soon. One more of my oldest Cooper, he loves all other dogs and recently a friend got a great dane pup, well Cooper thought he was a bit special as he got to meet him first. :)

 Thats sooooo cute!!

I don't have much to add but just in regards to the crate, it's probly a good idea to get pup used to the crate early, just using it for rest times etc, even just with the door open so puppy knows it's a nice happy place and safe for him. My oldest one was never crated and now if he has to be in a cage at the vets he just goes berserk. I never seen a need to crate any of mine till my youngest came along and the crate was a god send. Good luck with your puppy. Any photos?

They are funny Stans mum, I don't remember you shot from last year, can you pop it in here?
-
 Cooper almost gave me a look of horror when he seen the hats ears etc, but I got few good shots of him. We did a whole session and a few all together shots all with head gear on which wasn't real successful, I haven't got to them yet so I'm hoping there might be one good one amongst them. did you see the one of Lacy in the 52 weeks thread with the canon Santa hat on? I'll add it here, it's so cute! I'd totally forgotten I had the canon hat as I was still a Nikon girl when it was given to me, so it got put in the bottom of the cupboard. I was excited when I found it!

Thanks, I love them they are textures and thanks to Snook helping me with how to do them. I just couldn't figure it out. They are done in Photoshop, the texture is layed over the picture and then the picture is brushed back in. You can do them lighter and more subtle but these shots had pretty aweful backgrounds but I liked the photos so the texture is at full throttle. Harvey looks adorable with his hat on!

My OH has recently got the 650D its only been a out a couple of months and it has a touch swivel screen, its great everything easily accessible at the touch of the screen, I really didn't think I would like the touch screen but I love it. Might be worth a look.

I get excited about all things dog! More recently a freind and I were in pet stock and she spotted the 70% off sign on the dog clothes before I did, needless to say I got a bruised shoulder out of it. Its obvious she gets excited about dog stuff too, she poked me so hard and said OMG look over there! I got my girls all terrain coats for $20 Luckily I didn't by them when I first lusted after them at $70!!
