That's interesting at my harvey Norman they wouldnt sell to me without the card to ID that I was a student.

You have to be a student and have a student card before you can get any program at a student discount. I got LR and PS when I did my photography course and used my student card so it was heaps cheaper. I never use PS now I only use LR, I don't even know what layers are? :laugh: are layers necessary? What am I missing out on? You won't be sorry if you get Lightroom, download a trial and try it out, it is super easy to use.

Hi guys, not sure if anyone can help but I just thought if anyone can DOL can! I am after a phone number or address/web address of an obedience club in Melton, I know of one but have heard there is another one which I cannot find anywhere. If anyone has any info Id be grateful. Thanks One club only uses Correction collars and no food rewards, the other club uses positive methods and food rewards only.

I think if the owner is walking in a footpath and not minding the dog and seeing its need to go to the loo, then it will just do it. For about a week every night a person used to walk their dog past our house and in exactly the same spot he would do a poo and it would be right along our front fence, obviously the owner just dragged the dog along while it was doing it. If I am out with mine on lead and they have to go which is hardly ever, I see the signs find some grass pick it up. Its really not that hard. People just don't care!

I have to admit my lot aren't perfect by any stretch, but I do consider their manners to be acceptable generally. I find with a lot of people I get talking to they just don't know dogs, they have a dog but have never taken it to an obedience class or socialised it in any way. So I can see why some dogs are the way they are. Alkhe your post made me laugh!

Some people are just idiots, If I had a $ for every person who's dog has barrelled up to mine and then said something completely uncalled for or out of order I would be a rich lady!! Lot of excuses too, like oh My lab hates fluffy dogs, or My GSD has it in for Small fluffys, Or my Stafford always targets little fluffy dogs, or a really good one, its an off lead park my entire bulldog can do as he pleases. FFS people get your out of control dogs out of my dogs faces!! Gee that feels better. :)

I just wanted to post a little tribute by the way of a couple of pics here. A few of you know Laura, she lost her Stafford boy Bullet last Friday night to a mystery illness. RIP Lil fella. Bullet was only 2.

How does the 6th May sound then, 3 Sundays from now and we can have a good excuse (not that we need one) as it is Coopers 6th Birthday on the 8th May, I might even make some doggy bags! :laugh:

The jury is still out on that one, CJ hasnt got off the bed since about 3 o'clock (its nearly 8 here now,) even ate his dinner on the bed. :laugh: and lacy is still a bit lack lustre. Tomorrow will be a better day, it has to be because i have to go back to work!

Good idea Tanya, anyone else keen? we could make it a Sunday and JJ could come and bring the Mrs and the kids, oh and Tarni of course! If we made it just after lunch say 1ish, dog training up there would be finished for the day. The only thing is there could be others at the play ground and if that was the case we could just keep our distance from there as long as we are 30m away its all good and the dogs can be off lead.

JJ, maybe there is something going round, a friend (local) just lost her Dog, he had been in the vets all week they had tried to sort out what was wrong with him and they just couldn't figure it out. final diagnosis was some sort of brain infection, he was only 2.

Oh I just posted in the other thread! You have to have lightroom, it will come with iphoto already installed, I use that its ok, easy to upload pics to facey and also easy to export to photobucket for upload here and other places. There is so many good programs, and the best thing is you can just go to the apps store and buy them or source them elsewhere if you can. Did you have a look at the other thread, I think there was a few posts in there about good programs. Maybe photographers can give you an idea of other programs to use. I tried aperture but didn't like it much. I just stick with LR mostly and iphoto for general import export basic editing etc.

Thats great Lisa, sounds like Dezzy was born to do the "job" How come he was reassessed in MArch? We are not due for reassessment till September. Did you find the assessment similar to the first one? I am happy to report that my restless boy is tonight quiet and calm, so what ever was bugging him has finally settled down. My girl is still not 100% didnt want her dinner (which is so not like her she is a compulsive foodie. :laugh: ) she just wants to sleep. Its been quite an eventful weekend with Coop having surgery, and the other two off colour. Hopefully all will be good for the next long while now. Thanks for the support and good advice.
