  1. That was so sad. I can still see the sadness in the dogs eyes.
  2. They are old boat sheds. Some of them still house boats and some are empty. Construction of any further boat shed is prohibited though. It is one of the popular spots for wedding photos in Wollongong. The boat sheds are located at Sandon Point in Bulli Here is a shot I found in my files from the other direction and infront of one of the sheds
  3. Finally got the camera out today after a long time having not picking it up
  4. I spread Scouts meal over two feeds. One in the am anytime between 6am-8:30am. The other in pm anytime between 5:30 and 7:30pm.
  5. I have noticed that Scout has really thickened up around the chest and neck areas over the past few months, she is not any fatter but has got broader through that area. she just turned two
  6. I wonder if lack of education surrounding food contributes to the overweight issue. As a first time dog/lab owner I have found that information I have got on DOL, in particular from other lab owners and in the health thread has helped me keep Scout at what I think is a good weight. Had I not gained the knowledge I wonder if Scout's weight would be different This is Scout my lab Working hard on the waist line here
  7. I asked my vet about Scout's teeth last fortnight, as I though the back ones were getting a bit of a slight stain to them. She told me to feed her more bones The other male vet has also told me previously (when I was worried about her weight) to drop the kibble and just feed the raw
  8. Awesome Album  A well deserved win CONGRATULATIONS
  9. Bananas, apples, blueberries, strawberries, plums, watermelon, honeydew melon, rock melon...... I have a labrador so the list could go on for pages I love this photo it was a complete fluke, she had stolen a paper towel and also an apple and stored them under the coffee table. when she was eating the apple it was on top of the paper making her look like one very smart and clean puppy
  10. Oh bummer I wish I knew......thats just near me. I would have come over for some newfy cuddles
  11. This is Mrs Tornsocks' Archie and my Scout having a ball in the rain... and what better way to get a drink.............Labs make the most of everything Archie helping himself to a drink
  12. If I put the wonky bed out, he and his 30kgs would collapse in a heap. Lesson learnt - at least the cooler bed is going to his little friend so it's not a complete waste. I'm thinking I might buy one with the hessian (and already assembled). He has a crate inside but he gets too hot in it - even with air con. Occasionally he barks when he's hot, I've let him outside thinking it was toilet, and he's plonked down on the deck panting. So I'm thinking an outside bed that's very simple (ie tramp) is the solution. Mrs T, Archie loved Scout's Tramp bed when he stayed here. Mine was already assembled from a pet supplier it is two years old and still has the same cover on it well ... to make up for it today, I bought me a new dress, a new belt and a juicer. Nothing that Archie can sleep on. Don't bet on it...
  13. Barking dogs don't worry me when I walk Scout. It's the ones that roam free that make me cranky. ETA: I know the houses where there are dogs that run up to the fence. I just make a wider space between me and the fence line. It's not that hard to do
  14. OMG- Thank god you are all OK.
