I'd definitely be querying the expertise of whoever signed off on a clear health check for little Beau... he clearly was NOT in perfect health when he was sold to you... The issue he had was not something that would develop overnight either... he'd had that issue for some time - maybe even from birth... Dodgy breeders are one thing, but dodgy vets are a whole different ballgame... a dodgy vet needs a massive kick in the arse! T.

The lady who wanted Rocky now thinks she's in love with Jude, so she's coming over today to spend time with him... I really don't care which pup she ends up with, as she is definitely going to take one of them... lol! T.

Oh WM... huge hugs my friend... and can you pass some on to the old man from me too please? Whatever happens it will be your gift from the heart to your loyal companion... but it's so hard when it's such a quick timeframe between OK and definitely NOT OK... Zeddy sprang the decision on me in the course of a couple of hours... definitely not much time to get one's head around things, but it was definitely her time, and I let her go with dignity... I did my crying afterwards, and it definitely took a bit of adjusting to over the next few weeks. Fingers crossed that he's got something going on that can be reversed somewhat... even for a little while... T.

A healthy stafford pup would be gaining more than 200g in a week... not losing it. Wonderful news about the responsible breeder and the offer of a new puppy... DOL is a wonderful place, isn't it? T.

Yoko's interest has fallen through... thanks for letting us know before now... so she's back up for grabs... No problems - as soon as these pups hit PetRescue, the phone will be ringing off the hook! T.

First home check done for one of the pups today... perfect home, and they are fully in love with young Rocky... yay! Now have to organise a check for the people who want Yoko... *grin* ... and they haven't even hit PetRescue yet! T.

Babies grab... simple fact... and the dog probably knows this. Being of older years, he may be feeling a little more fragile himself, and is pre-empting what may come? Training for both dog and baby is in order if the vet check says he's in good health for his age... T.

You have been the best family for little Beau... recognising his problems, and making sure he doesn't suffer... hold your heads high that you did the hardest but best thing for the little guy... and that the breeder should never have sold a puppy with Beau's issues to anyone. I would run a mile from any animals/breeders recommended by that breeder. Get your purchase price back from him, then raise hell! It's possible that you might find what you are looking for via petrescue.com.au ... so many suitable family dogs out there just needing homes... even puppies of every type... worth a look, yes? Massive hugs to you and your family for the trauma you have suffered with little Beau... I'd rehome a dog to you guys in a shot, as you sound like the perfect family that can really give a dog an amazing home. T.

A friend's husband refused to believe that Trouble was a Labrador because she's not fat... go figure? T.

Racumin is also safe up the food chain... a lot of zoos use it for that reason... T.

BBQ chicken, boiled rice, all mixed in chicken broth... serve warm for best results...he should be very interested because it smells bloody amazing, and tastes good too! Give in small helpings numerous times throughout the day so he is getting enough into him. T.

My brother's Lab went off his food when he had a UTI... and yes, I'd also do a fecal float to rule out coccidia, giardia,and other internal parasites up to no good... T.

They are the best time wasters ever... I should have been doing all of my TAFE assignments today, but only got one done, as I got bored and went to play with puppies a few times... errr! I only have 4 assignments and one lot of competencies to get done... by tomorrow... one down... lol! T.

Hahaha! He's not as fast as a whippet... and certainly not as slim... lol! T.

I think my neighbours might get upset if I had 12 dogs and 2 foxes... lol! The plant is some sort of wild choko type from a vine... the kids have worked out how to pull them off and run about with them... *sigh* They got 2 more old boxes yesterday... much fun and much mess ensued... hahaha! They are from Tennant Creek... apparently the female cattle dog decided to run off and find herself some rough trade while in heat... *sigh* T.

Well... I KNOW that my current 2 dogs' details are correct, as I had to register Harper and Pickles with council the other week... and checked on Trouble's details at the same time... so I won't be faffing about with the clunky front end that's currently on offer online thanks... T.

There are at least 2 awesome Rotti breeders right here on these forums... can't go wrong applying for a pup from either's next litter IMHO...
