  1. I have a photo somewhere of Trouble 24 hours before she whelped... she was hidden under a garden bench in a hole she'd dug... and looked miserable... lol! Go Neko! Can't wait to meet your little ones! T.
  2. Maybe I should come visit you and the Moochers again with my latest whizz-bang camera and lenses? *grin* T.
  3. Awww... the eyes do tell the story, don't they? Methinks she's not overly enjoying the being terribly fat part of the process... lol! Hang in there Neko... only a few more days girl! T.
  4. loveyrdog - despite your well meaning intentions, what you are suggesting as a course of action is illegal. All stray dogs should have an attempt made by those able to do so to be reunited with their owners. As evidenced here, there are many dogs out there who, if found wandering the streets, may display behaviours that might make those less informed believe that the dog had suffered some abuse during its life... I own one such dog - and I know she's never been abused as I've known her since she was still inside her mother (the joys of rescue) - however, in new situations and with people she doesn't know, she's a complete emotional wreck, cowering, backing up, and fear barking. I would hope that if she ever got out of my yard, that some kind soul would do as MonElite did, and make friends with my girl and try to get her safely back to me by whichever means possible - including taking her to the pound... as that is where I'd be calling first to find her myself! willem - you need to take a few deep breaths and calm the heck down. Maybe read and reread posts before you go off all gung ho with your "advice". If English is a second language, then even moreso... your attitude and bullish language is not endearing you to anyone... and funnily enough, is more likely to make them completely disregard any advice you have to give because you are such an annoying ass while giving it... T.
  5. I think we need daily photo updates now... *grin* T.
  6. What a little trooper! Maybe her owwie teeth had a bit to do with her aversion to food? Moreso as she gets older, yes? I remember meeting and playing with all of your dogs... Tamar is the sweetest little girl... please give her a soft cuddle and a kiss from me for being so brave at the vet... T.
  7. Not long to go now! *waiting patiently* Arkey's leg is looking good... not much swelling left there... the wonders of modern surgery... T.
  8. I have some awesome shots of minimax's Max doing her thing in the kiddie pool at Catdogs' BBQ a couple of years ago... T.
  9. I use a free program called Easy Thumbnails to resize my photos... and it doesn't lose any of the quality that you can see with the naked eye. Easy Thumbnails - http://www.fookes.com/easy-thumbnails I'm also a fan of Flickr rather than Photobucket - Photobucket does wierd things to the colour of the photos... T.
  10. Gorgeous! I think you've selected both the camera and subject really well... T.
  11. It's an interesting post! You know that eating Maccas or 2 minute noodles everyday is not healthy and certainly not appropriate for long term health 5-10 years down the track so you'd also concur that this is true for dogs? Low quality foods do impact long term health. Although I appreciate your dog was 16 which is a fab innings it's unlikley your dog was on either Supecoat or Bonnie for that entire 16 years. I can also argue there are exceptions similar to how some smokers live long lives. I think it can be quite damaging to novice dog owners to have them believe 2 minute noodles or maccas is a suitable long term diet for their dog that will create great long term health. Ummm... I'll also confess to feeding Pedigree at times. I would say the majority of her life though, she was fed the lower priced kibble as the main diet... I believe that there are more likely to be many other factors contributing to health and longevity than just what food we give them, yes? Things like being a full family member with full inclusion in daily life, a nice safe warm bed to sleep on every night (and day as the case generally is with dogs), vet attention and parasite prevention as necessary, etc, etc... T.
  12. They will be stunning babies no matter the colour... but I'd really like to see that stunning red fawn represented... *grin* T.
  13. She could surprise us all and have 4... *grin* Still tipping 2 girls and a boy... but if only 2 babies... both girls. Hoping for a show of some of that stunning tan in the mix somewhere... T.
  14. My dogs do just as well on Supercoat or Bonnie as they do on Nutro or Royal Canin... only their poos are larger when they get the cheaper kibble. I'm lucky that none of mine have any allergies, and that they will eat anything put in front of them. My old girl was nearly 16 when she passed in July last year, rarely saw a vet for anything right up until her last day... not a bad innings for a large breed dog IMHO. I'm a firm believer in feeding whatever your dog does well on... and not buying into the hype regarding what is "best". Truth is that what may be amazing for one dog might not be as great for the next... T.
  15. Oh - and I'm tipping 2 girls and a boy... *grin* T.
  16. Deep breaths! Neko is perefectly fit and healthy. She has a doting owner who is well versed in the ins and outs of the breed and whelping. All will turn out just fine, and this time next week we will all be cooing over the gorgeous little bundles of joy Neko has made for us... Hugs at ya! T.
  17. I wonder if she will throw any with the lovely tan colouring of her brothers? Or a morph of that tan? T.
  18. LOL! I'll second that... I reckon she's hiding at least one from you... T.
  19. Here's hoping she's been hiding a couple extras... lol! T.
  20. Is there any chance the 2 you saw were actually hiding anyone else from view? Not completely beyond the realms of possibility, is it? And heartbeats can be in sync... thus making it hard to distinguish more... Wishful thinking here... lol! Whatever the birthing outcome, Neko will have absolutely gorgeous and healthy babies within the next 10 days... focus on that. T.
  21. collect some tiger or lion wee T (surely you, if anyone, can get a bottle of this) just spray it on the grass...that'll keep them away Hahaha! But that may attract cats instead... lol! T.
  22. 10 days from now you will have a couple of totally divine little iggy puppies... fixate on that thought... T.
  23. She's strong and healthy, so whatever the birthing conditions, she'll be fine... you've done this before and know what to watch for... Fingers crossed she just pops them out and makes all your worry go away... T.
