  1. Yes but I want to meet her while she's still under 12 weeks of age! That's the totally cute stage you wish they could stay in and their puppy antics are quite forgiveable due to the cuteness factor :D Wanna swing by Cloverdale for 5 mins for a quick cuddle
  2. So jealous I'm busy on Sunday! As I wanna meet Zora at this cutesy age *stomps feet* :p
  3. Well done, RV!! I've been working on gloves, send to the box and seekback. Millie thinks it's a party to retrieve the gloves, her usual style Seekback is going well with Ruby, and suprisingly it's Millie who stops to look at me for help if it is too hard for her, so I have to keep it nice and simple for her for the time being. I really need to pull my finger out and work more on scent, too. huski, when I brought out a brand new set of metals I hadn't used before, both dogs went from knowing the game and getting it right, to absolutely flipping out in confusion. So I went back and trained Millie on them how I did when I first taught her. A couple of reps and she understood the game again and was back to a full set of metals (I haven't mixed them with the rest of the set in ages, hence me needing to pull my finger out and train this some more!) I would go and air your articles nicely for a few days, and then start again from the beginning with how you taught Daisy initially. I don't think it will take her long to remember the game again
  4. So you're not working anymore, RV? Thought you had to work through her arrival time! That is good news that you get to go, but even better if someone is driving so you can sit with her. I'd offer but got a trial on Sunday! Hope your brother can help Can't wait to meet her!! And wow time has flown!! Is it THIS Sunday you get her?!
  5. Sorry just wanted to extend on the bolded point. Associate registers are also for non pedigree purebred dogs My Millie is 100% Lab, but is not papered, so I have her on the Associate Register.
  6. Rach, I hope Buddy is ok Hugs to you and your little man! I don't stress when they are left at mum and dad's and are outside in their backyard, as they don't live on a corner block, and they've lived there for about 12 years and the neighbours are all good (funny thing though is they tend to be left inside at mum and dad's for some reason!) I stress at them being left in my backyard because I live on a corner block and I worry about baiting. I don't leave them inside at my place, just don't trust them and I have no doggy door, but for some reason they are pretty trustworthy at mum and dad's (and Millie can squeeze through the tiny doggy door at their place ) I have left them inside my house once for half an hour one evening when I went to Coles and everything was fine. But all day, no way man!!! P.S. I dropped them off at mum and dad's today. Such spoilt puppies
  7. That was a lovely run! Can you ask Chloe if she will come and teach me and my girls how to rear cross? :p
  8. Good to hear you have a partner who is so into your hobbies, murve
  9. I just did a google search to see if I could find the answer about a possible ANKC title and it led me back to this thread And to my post of me asking the exact same thing only a few months ago.... what a dodo I am But it never received an answer (besides OSS saying she doesn't know) so I am taking that as noone actually knows!! Just what I was about to ask! Wondering if you earn a different ANKC recognised title other than "ET"
  10. And to think all breeds can train and compete, too! But there is so much you could fail on that I don't think I could hack it failing! Even though it's a big test, I guess the question of can you just do the ET part separately still sits in my mind... I am guessing, no? And are there any titles for the dog if they complete the VIMS or Montemelia?
  11. Thanks, Candice Marley and Me is on TV Saturday night Get your tissues ready!! Man I blubbered like a baby in the cinema (and yes, I had read the book so knew what to expect)!
  12. Have Chloe and Pep been in the ring again? Would love an update on their progress!
  13. There aren't near as many bees as there were when I had that tree in the backyard, but they and especially wasps hang out in numbers near the aircon drain pipe in summer in the backyard. And I often find bees and wasps drowned in the dog water bowl as they were obviously "dying" for a drink!! With both reactions, I haven't actually seen a bee, it's just the closest guess the vets can come up with. What would happen with desensitization injections, would she blow up on them?
  14. So very quiet in here I'm wondering if anyone else worries about their dogs as much as I do when they're at work? I really hate leaving them home by themselves. I worry because of the neighbourhood, I worry because I live in a corner block, I now worry that Ruby is going to get stung by a bee and have a severe reaction, argh, the list goes on! I drop them at mum and dad's sometimes (especially when the weather is going to be horrible) but on the days they are home by themselves, I just go crazy with worry Left home today just after 7am and won't be home til just after 5pm. At least they have each other, and seem to have fun digging
  15. Once Rally-O becomes an ANKC recognised sport where you can earn titles, you and your dog need to be registered with the ANKC to compete.
  16. The rain seems to have cleared in the city... not sure what it's like south!
  17. Woah that's some test! I assume they can earn some sort of title afterwards? Thanks for the links
  18. OK so I'm sure it's been asked and answered before, but too hard to search for it What is the difference between ET/Vims and ET/Montemelia (sp?) There is an ET in WA in September where the ET is on Saturday I believe, and the other parts of the test on Sunday (don't quote me on that!) Does that mean that any breed can partake in the ET on Saturday (obviously not doing the Sunday stuff as I believe that is for GSD's only??) I'm just not sure if the ET part is GSD only or not! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
  19. Congrats, Seita!! 1 more to go!! :D Congrats to the 3 WA dogs doing the West proud!!
  20. Well done to the WA Team, you guys rock!!! I got a clear round in Open Jumping today with Ruby, totally unexpected!! Very happy with my girl!
  21. Well done team WA!!!! How did the teams work? I read on WA Click you all did Open, but what about the other teams? I thought the teams were made up of one in Novice, one in Open, and one in UD, I was way off Candice, would have liked to go for a walk but I'm knackered and need to spend Sunday at home around the house. Had an agility trial today. I was nursing a hangover this morning so decided to wag the AM trial. Went for the PM trial, still feeling quite seedy running around RV couldn't make it so I ended up taking Ruby into Open Jumping myself. Went into it with no expectations as I haven't trained any distance stuff, and blow me down Ruby walked away with a clear round! :D Never thought I'd get a clear round in JDO ever Some near misses in JDX with both girls and a very near miss in AD with Millie. Had a great afternoon and the best part was I didn't chuck in the ring :D
  22. You're gonna have ants in your pants at work that day How exciting!!!!!!! Are your parents picking her up at the airport for you? I'd be chucking a sickie if I were you, that is the most exciting part, the airport pickup!!
  23. So excited to see the pups! Can't wait especially to do the swimming test. What a shame I really need to do stuff around the house on Sunday otherwise I'd be begging to come and help with the testing So what kind of tests are you going to perform?
  24. Where is the retrieving trial, and are you going? I'd love to go see a load of gun dogs working I'm not sure where it is, probably a couple of hours away. I'm not going, I'm having a very rare day at home to clean and garden! There was a retrieving training day last Sunday at Upper Swan, shame you didn't come to that instead!
