I hope so. But I wasn't going to wait around any longer so gave her rimadyl. She had to be crated this morning while I went out for about 3-4 hours, poor girl hasn't been crated like that since she was a pup and I bet she was wondering why she was being punished! She isn't limping as much now as she was most of the morning. While we saw Deb, I also had her draw bloods for titre testing. Oh my gosh, I was almost in tears. Millie CRIIIIIIIIIIED It was clear that it was awfully painful and traumatic for her, echoed in her cries and it just broke my heart!!! Took Ruby in next, prepared for the worst (she's my baby afterall) and she sat there like a good girl, offered her paw, made a small cry when it went in and all was good!

Phwooooaaaar James, if I were a dog (err bitch?), I'd so be hitting on you! You're such a spunk!!! Woohoo for Scoota!!!!! Good news on Zeus, emery! Well I can add to the doggy wars. Ruby has been lame this week Took her to see the wonderful Deb Nook yesterday arvo. Thought things were looking up, but she woke up this morning lamer than she's been all week Good news is it's not her joints. Looks like her tricep in left front leg and her hammy in rear right leg. Bloody 2 food game with a hyped up more than usual dog Gave her some Rimadyl this morning and will give her another tonight, more rest and hope it all comes good Sigh!

Good work RV and Sue!! Nawww James is so cute. But at him not wanting to always eat them!

*Prefix* Dawn Lily ? It's pretty. Or what about Lily Of The Dawn? I dunno, I suck at names. Although, I am hoping I can pick my next one and if so, I have one already picked out :D Hey RV, what about Prefix Dance Til Dawn? I like that for myself, but a bit poofy for a boy dog

Recommendations For A Pet Transport Company?
RubyStar replied to Zug Zug's topic in General Dog Discussion
PM wayrod on here, he organizes pet travel at competitive prices. DOLers here have been recommending him, so worth an enquiry -
Well it is a gundog afterall, and I do love my gundogs. No guarantees I won't fall in love, because I do already like the breed, but I still want to see piccies!

Hint hint RV, you must swamp us with photos in the coming weeks!!! ;)

I brought in an adult female (desexed) Labrador with my already adult female (desexed) Labrador. While they get on fine, the adult rescue I brought into the family is more dominant, but I suspect that is just her personality more so than just because of two females together. I'd go for a male myself, they are generally bigger so offer more security looks wise, plus you won't have to worry if the personalities clash too much with two bitches.

I think the blacks tend to be overlooked by a lot of folk in favour of yellows and chocolates. A black Lab in great condition GLEAMS.. love them. Love all the colours actually. Yes, the blacks do shine! So does a dark choc actually. But I'm a yellow fan Was thinking of a black for #3, but think I'm going back to my first love, a yellow Lab Shouldn't you go for one of each for a 'rainbow' effect? I keep thinking I should too to finish the colour set off, but in the end, it comes down to the individual dog I love and yellow is it. Sorry haven for taking this off topic But I think we're saying perhaps you should go for the Black Lab

I was thinking Black Labrador, too, but wasn't going to post it because many people alway seem to be recommending their own breed But now that I see others have suggested it, I say Black Lab The only thing it doesn't tick is the shedding. If you're open to an adult, that would be my suggestion, as a Lab puppy may be too bouncy for your 2.5 year old.

I don't know sorry, competition size is all I can say as it was bought from club.

Is anyone interested in purchasing a flexi tunnel and collapsible tunnel for agility? I have one of each second hand from a club that I don't use that I am looking to sell. PM me if interested!!

Nope sorry, might keep this one to myself for the time being because it's a silly one and I may change my mind :p For the call name though, I keep thinking up American names for some reason. I am liking Hank or Hudson currently for my boofy yellow Lab boy of the future Me and a friend were talking boy dog names the other day. I love these names for boy dogs Bronx, Brooklyn, Oxford, Cambridge, Knox, London. (My dad is calling ST's James Albert, and I think it actually suits him a litte bit ;) ) I also like the name Slugger or Slug and was trying to talk my bro into getting a Frenchie and calling it that. I had so many girls names shortlisted and in the end pulled it out of a hat I like the name Clipper, got that from that retrieving DVD you gave me. But I wouldn't use it. It just sounds awesome as the command to fetch I have a bunch of girls names shortlisted, but now I just need some boy names as that is what I will most likely be getting next. I hate choosing names!!! Ruby was the only name that was suggested to me that I instantly felt was it. Millie is only Millie because her name originally was Lily but I didn't want too many L's to call out at the park!

Going to get confusing with a Zora and a Ziva in here! Good thing they are different breeds!

Pet name or registered name?

OMG OMG now THAT makes me go *cluck cluck* and they aren't even Labs ;) Very cute, I do indeed like the orange/white Brittany's (sorry if that isn't the correct colour term). How excited are you, RV?! :D How old are they?
-
Nice cats But I'm sorry, they don't make me go cluck cluck in the slightest I can't help it I'm a dog girl through and through! That said, my very first pet was a cat. She was a Chinchilla x whatever random tom knocked her mum up. She lived til she was a few months shy of 20 Then my sister's cat was just a whatever (from the pet shop ) and she was the loveliest little thing. While I loved those cat to pieces, I can't see me ever owning another cat
-
They were cats. That's all I needed to know ;) I'm never going to breed cats so I don't really care We had to ask the breeder a bunch of silly questions that were already written on a sheet of paper for us and write down her answers. End of assessment :D I suspect I will fail the dog breeder visit one, though. I will be too busy ogling over Lab puppies to pick up my pen :D

Kittens almost out do puppies in the cuteness stakes :D What cat breed was it? You're asking me? A cat is a cat as far as I'm concerned One was trying to climb into my bag. It actually got in it. I politely told the cat that I wasn't interested in taking it home and if I did, it would just be for dinner for the girls! :p The girls spotted one walking the fenceline in the backyard this morning just as I was about to let them out for breakfast. They went absolute nuts at the door!!! The cat took one look at the dogs and disappeared quick smart Kittens are cute, but they definitely don't compare to a puppy, least of all a Lab puppy!!

Oh and I don't dress to match my dogs collars/leads, but their collars and leads match and I've had several comments from judges about them

I couldn't trial in black pants, could you imagine the amount of yellow lab hair all over those! Edit: actually, for my first Western Classic trial, I wore 3/4 black pants and a button up short sleeved shirt. I usually wear jeans in winter, and in summer, I normally wear 3/4 pants. My sneakers are black so they don't stand out as much. Top wise, for normal trials, just polos or a tshirt. For big events like the State or the Royal, I wear a dressier top, still with jeans ;)

I was swayed to an Australian Shepherd, and I have leopuppy04 and her first litter to blame for it But my heart will always belong to a Labrador, so it is very likely I will stick with the one breed unless I can one day get a kennel property and expand my breeds And if that happens, I have a few breeds on my list that have made it's way there since joining DOL But the only ones I actually foresee me owning are Labs and Aussies. An English Setter is one I would like to own in many years to come.
