  1. Ruby and I need all the encouragement we can get! We might possibly be repeating Elementary for a fourth frickin' time because of a certain dogwalk phobia!!!!
  2. Feels like it at the K9 sometimes, though!!
  3. So was the rest of it, Ruby was just pipped to the post by a Lab hair's breadth in the other challenges!! At least we came 2nd in the tunnel race. Think it was in fact rigged, as Ruby was quite slow and got 2nd, and Mr Guinness was super duper fast and missed a tunnel incurring a time penalty, and still came first It was either rigged, or all the other dogs were damn lousy (excluding SugarPlum of course )
  4. I think last trial of the year should be fancy dress :D
  5. Maybe not quite as full on, but I train as if I am trialling and keep working through the exercises up to open level with some at the moment. I do it in the hope that I will trial again one day and also because I enjoy it, it's my time out. I do get slack normally over winter though. Funny, it's summer that I usually get slack with :D
  6. Where's Rusky with her brags? The big cheater :D (kidding)
  7. Congrats! What's it for? A bit like mine? Well done Banjo!! My mini brag is Ruby weaved 36 weave poles in a row tonight at the agility windup! OK, so twice she skipped a single pole, so make that 34 weave poles in a row! But then she was all weaved out and wouldn't do it properly again
  8. :D :D She's not a closet doggy dancer anymore - she's been OUTED!!
  9. That is something I never did with Ruby as a puppy. I wasn't aware of the value in restrained recalls so never sought out anybody to help me with it I'm utilising my car for this now I leave Ruby in the back unrestrained, tell her to wait, walk a fair distance away, release her and run! She comes tearing out after me This is only working cos she knows how to wait in the back... Millie on the other hand doesn't understand that concept Emily sounds wonderful, TSD!!
  10. well i am entered but might have to see how daughter is as the last two days she has been having epileptic drop attacks again was hoping she was gonna grow out of it cries Sorry to hear that, emery :D
  11. Go Lewis!!! Similar thing with Millie. Never thought she would ever swim, she didn't even like getting her feet wet. But the lure of the lovely Kong Wubba floating in the water enticed her in, and now she fetches them out of the water more enthusiastically than the water baby, Ruby!
  12. I think I heard Ptolomy, bedazzled, valley and amypie say they would like to try DWD next year
  13. When I start thinking of summer projects, it makes me think of being on holidays and being able to do things at my leisure. Sadly, I'm NOT on holidays and things still need to be slotted in after work! Sometimes I wish I was a full time student, again!
  14. My summer training projects are weaving for Millie and the start of a RRR for both of them.
  15. If I have nothing on I will be there But not sure I will bring the dogs, just me!
  16. Not sure if training will wind down for me, got a few summer projects I want to do But when it's so hot, I do find it a struggle to get into training mode
  17. I don't think anybody has said that, nor insinuated it
  18. Ah yep think that was me Loved it, too! Typical Lab, nothing would stop them
  19. Or a fast-track to sucking all their energy out before they go in the obedience ring I'll be giving it a go, I'm not entered that night I'll be stewarding the JD (and JDM I think) rings tonight
  20. I had a palm tree cut down before I moved in as it was dropping an insane amount of berries. I also had another gorgeous tree cut down at the same time because I found out their berries (and leaves!) were poisonous to dogs! So thankful I posted a pic of it on the net for a knowledgeable DOLer to tell me it was toxic before I moved in!!
  21. :D I think you'll fail that goal Yup, I'm thinking so, too now :D
  22. I know... But I only have 2 dogs again now and no man in my life whinging that I spend too much time doing dog sports So I call it... Dog sport therapy It's the best kind of therapy! And no man to interfere with how much time you spend with dogs, I'm a personal fan of that one :D I'm looking into a 3rd dog at some stage.... not sure if I'm crazy or not because my wishlist for my current 2 is going to keep me busy!!
  23. I wish one of them would, I want Aussie puppy cuddles!!!! ozjen, glad to hear your little man is ok!! What a scare!
  24. Nothing stopping us from having a couple of get togethers, that way if someone can't make one, they have more chance of making another. I'd like to meet huski and smisch and I think we were planning a get together when huski is here anyway So your show is on while Ruby's jumping debut is on? You're gonna miss us!
