I think they went and had it already :D I have a couple of weeks off over Xmas and NY so will likely head to the beach most mornings if it's hot. Otherwise the river. Can't wait! Yip I am keen for the beach in summer, I am taking off from 20 december until 17 Jan. I'm looking forward to a few beach trips this summer

Disclaimer: My Labs are obviously not show Labs and never were destined to be, so no cringing at my Labs "stacked" shots above and how they would be laughed out of a show ring Rach just needed stacked pics for an assignment she has Millie is so bum high And her coat is a bit of a shambles at the moment, must be the time of year as it was like this last year too and then it came good :D And Ruby has never had any coat in her life!

No leave for me, except the 4 days or whatever between Xmas and New Years, but we can meet up late afternoon on a weekend if you like - probably too warm during the day now to get much out of our dogs.

oops  Don't mind me, just a little bored at work

Quick, let's all hide How many weeks left for this term? Psst, that was for Tiggy, not you ;) :D

Don't show that google maps photo to the show people, they will see just how much bigger our oval is and want to trade  I think the bindi's will scare them off again (I need my show puppy, so I can wear the show/performance hat and nobody can tell me off for making jokes like that :D)

Quick, let's all hide  How many weeks left for this term? I'm bummed that there will be no training over the holidays! But I have a few holidays projects to work on, and am thankful there are no trials so it gives me a chance to work on things, instead of putting bandaids over things just cos a trial is coming up :D Think I need to stop buying the el cheapo bandaids though, they don't work

That would be Maximus He'll soon have some competition from my two :D . I thought Maximus was just black? -
Cos I was eating dinner at the time But I am thinking of letting them up for a cuddle shortly I don't let them up every night, and they haven't even attempted to get back up since they were up last time. Too much sunshine today, I am sooooo tired, can barely stay awake! And I'm sunburnt I was the idiot who didn't put sunscreen on!

I was a complete nervous wreck for the first year of Ruby's life. Being my first Labrador, I read all I could and the stories I read were telling me of all the Labs that were getting HD and ED and how there is a good chance it will show while a puppy if they are going to have it, and how to be extremely careful with exercise and stuff in their first 12 months, made me freak at everything. Slightest limp, I freaked. Another dog playing a bit too roughly, I freaked. My family started to get annoyed at me. Happy to report my baby girl is sound (touch wood) at almost 4 years old Not sure if it's a nutty thing to be scared of, I think it's a good thing to be scared of so you're extra careful! But it did put me through quite a bit of stress and I probably missed the best portion of her puppyhood while I stressed myself out

Call it a stupid reason, but this is one of the reasons I wanted a second Lab Nawwwww

I don't own the acreage yet, but you have just listed what I want to do Sell my house, move to an acreage, have permanent training equipment set up and get more dogs This has been an interesting read. I am only new to agility myself, and don't have a system yet... just the point at that jump and hope they take it system

So ness, how did you get involved in dog sports with your brother's dog when you were initially scared of dogs? Did you get Ness as a pup and what age was she when you first started training her? I know this is the brags thread, but I find it interesting how others got started in dogs For me, it was just this need in me to own a Lab one day and had this idea that we would go to obedience classes and maybe compete, even though I didn't even know what was involved in competing in obedience Now I'm trying every sport I can get my hands on and that a Lab is allowed to enter I used to have other interests, but everything else has disappeared in my life because I spend my time training instead To keep this on topic for brags, my tiny brag is I am a few sessions in on Millie's 2x2 weaving and today I broke out the 2 sets of poles at an angle and she was going through them working the arc

I can top that, Ruby is the first dog I have ever taught anything to, including sit/down/stay! The poor girl has been my dog training experiment. Our toy breed dogs growing up were never even taught a formal sit
-
So you're not coming then, Rach? If you're not coming, I will leave Ruby at home and just bring Millie
-
Don't say that! Because I totally want a blank slate with a puppy mind and can't have one for ages yet! I had a blank slate in an adult Millie which is still a great thing to work with, and I didn't have any trouble treating her like a puppy that knew nothing, when it's very easy to expect more from a dog just because they're older. But I want my next blank slate to be a puppy

Way to go, Kenzie!!!! :p Hurry up with the video

This dog is I love English Setters and would one day love to do many sports with one, but not sure I am up for the challenge at present :p -
I need to be there by 10.15am so if you can get a train that arrives just after 9.45am that would be best if you need me to pick you up

Awesome, I can hang out without worrying about stewarding this time I'll probably be stewarding the next one, though. I'll buy some goodies tomorrow if I make it to a supermarket! What time does it start? -

I'm not sure as I don't live up that way, but I'm sure if you figured out what train station you need, myself or Candice would pick you up
