Congrats smisch and CleoJ on your titles!!!! Way to go
-
WOW! I bet you're so proud! Ruby loves life, I love her! You want her?
-
I see huski lurking, how did Daisy go????
-
Oh noooooo!!!! That really sucks, so sorry to hear that A lot of triallers can relate as I'm sure it's happened or will happen to us all!

I renewed one of my dog's pet insurance today, and when I was speaking to them I asked them to check if there were any exclusion on my policy. They said no. I am (reluctantly) with PetPlan. Not sure if that is of any help?

Where were you when I needed to buy my oven/rangehood/cooktop/washing machine/fridge!! I found The Good Guys were completely rude to us, and refused to knock down prices further even though we were buying heaps. They said that is the cash price and that is that, regardless of how much we bought. So I walked out and got a good price at RetraVision. Was back in GG's another time and heard them tell another couple the same thing, I thought it was absolute bulldust!!! I found Kambos and RetraVision were only too willing to do a deal. GG's can go jump

Yeah but it's a shame that she didn't win one. Since the trial was rosettes by donation only amypie (and now me ) feel like donating one. My dad would have TOTALLY lost it had they handed us a trophy/rosette that day. It was the first time he'd really seen her in the ring and first time seeing presentations, he was proud as punch and close to tears! He would have totally lost it if she won something Aww how nice is your dad? And I loved the way he asked why can't Millie go to, he just doesnt want her to feel left out He keeps saying how Millie is his "star". Train your own dog, Dad I think I've had too much to drink here at work... we were playing a Cattegories drinking game and I was having trouble naming dog breeds, and I chose the freakin' category
-
Yep Well it's only fair when I ask to borrow all yours that I have something to barter with. Do we get to make "backups" of your collection, you know, for safe keeping and all

No but you're starting to be the Clean Run fairy!! Did you hit the button yet?
-
Seriously guys, Millie doesn't need a rosette, I just like having a good whinge every now and then
-
Nawwww hehe Very sweet! Ruby got 1st place in her final CCD leg and she got a cooler bag as a prize so each time I bring that to a trial I have a reminder of the appaling job she did that still managed first
-
Thanks amypie, sweet of you, but that's ok I will just have to work extra hard so she can maybe get one again in the future (Gotta at least aim with Millie, Ruby has no hope in hell of ever placing 1st again unless all the other competitors were scratched for some reason )

I don't believe Millie has communicated to me her favourite colour But I know she likes when she gets them and it says 1st on it!!

I will help if any way I can to ensure the obedience is at the WC. I think it's just horrible that it's not getting the support it deserves. Don't get me wrong, I love agility too, but sick of obedience being second best in most people's eyes Example being last weekend at the fundraiser trials. Ribbons were donated for the agility (and lots of them!) but none for obedience!
-
YES If it's cause they are short on people (and i can't belive I am saying this) even though I have never been involved in organizing a trial and don't know too much about obidience I am happy to help. I would like to think in a few years I can have Lincoln in the Western Classic for showing, obidience and agility. Ditto.

YES
-
Agree with this!! Not saying it isn't possible, there are some fantastic trainers that are good at both, but I don't believe for a second that just because you do obedience trialling with a dog and get to a decent level that you know everything there is to know about behaviour.

This is what makes me hate pet insurance companies
-
Good luck Sue & Cindy!!!
-
Probably will. That is something to discuss with the individual insurers, as some are happy to lift it as an exclusion after a certain time period depending on what the actual condition is.
-
You guys quite clearly need Labradors - that stick is for playing with is it not?!?!
-
I should get Millie measured, too. But doing that so soon may jinx us Actually, the morning I got Ruby measured, she still had no Novice obedience passes. That day, she pulled off 2 in a row, so maybe it is a good luck thing?
-
Good luck Huski and TN!! And you too sas when you do your secret debut ;) Millie debuts in Novice not this weekend but the following one, fingers crossed she can keep up the focused work when that lead comes off We have 3 Novice trials (including a double header) before the Royal, so if the next 3 are disastrous I know not to bother entering her at the Royal where there will be spectators :p
