Love the shot of you and Spartan!! I love the slideshow of me and Ruby, and know it will be something that will bring a tear AND a smile to my face when I watch it again in many years to come when my beloved Ruby is no longer with me. It does that to me now. As much of a little cow she can be sometimes, gosh I that dog so much. And I know you all know how I feel when I say that, only doggy people understand!!

Found it http://www.leonshaffer.com/slideshows/Ruby_Show/ It also has a few shots of my sister and my gorgeous niece in there.

Lab Rat, would love to see your montage, too I realised I don't really take enough photos of my dogs. I should change that, but I am terrible at photography! Wish I had taken more of Ruby as a pup. I would like to make a montage of my girls, too. My bro in law took some photos of me and Ruby when she was about 9 months old and he put them up on his website in a slideshow to some music. I really, really loved it! The music made it happy I will see if I can find the link and share it, but it's probably gone off his site by now. I'm inspired now to make one, thanks vCBR and Lilly for the inspiration!

Is There A Limit On The Number Of Dogs I Can Own?
RubyStar replied to Steve's topic in General Dog Discussion
I wish all states would follow NSW's sensible lead in the keeping of dogs. -
first timer, I'd recommend a wire crate for crate training your Lab puppy. Will cost you less money in the long run I now have moved to soft crates as they are easier to cart around, because I crate trained with a wire one. But if I get a puppy in the future, regardless of breed, I will be bringing out the wire one again until the pup is calm and at ease in their crate, even on outings. I got my wire one practically brand new out of the local paper for $50, was a bargain The woman sold it cos her dog didn't like it (she obviously didn't perservere with the training ) Then I bought my first soft crate from ebay, Puppy Power I think it was Very sturdy crate! I am thinking of buying a 2nd one from topbuy as they are about half the price I paid for my better quality one.

That video of Lilly was really sweet! ;) I love montages. Look at how young you were too when you first got her! And Toby and his bucket head and leg in a cast, poor little sod! Give Lilly a big (and gentle) hug for me, she looks to be a real sweetie!!

Yes it was me, thanks lablove but I am after recommendations by people who haved used a particular therapist and are pleased with the results. As others have mentioned, some are rubbish, so it's best to go to one who comes recommended!

I don't know that insurance company but from the quotes I have gotten in the past, you will probably only get accident cover for that amount, not illness too. IMO, you need both ;)

Oh no :( Big hugs to ya, it's so hard to know what to do or say but you know you're doing the right thing for her and she knows it too

Is it something where your dog should actually have something wrong with it for it to be worth going? Or is it good for what appears to be a healthy dog, but you just wanna go and be sure? I'd like to take my girls to something like this to ensure they aren't in any pain or discomfort when I ask them to jump, sit for long periods, and heeling for obedience and agility. Can anyone please PM me any Perth SOR recommendations for a good therapist? Thanks!

There was a thread in general the other day about cheap soft crates - see if you can find it - they were dirt cheap! Thanks, I found some cheapies on Topbuy. Now just to decide which size to get! My current one is too big so ideally I'd like to sell that one and get two of the size just under that one. But I like my current one, it's covered over which Millie needs and from what I can see, the top buy ones have mesh sides with no cover Mas, yours is from there isn't it? Is it covered with flaps or not? I might borrow yours if you don't mind, I want it for the Royal so I don't have to lug my wire one in. Thanks for the offer! I'll chat to you later about it Edit: looks like the green top buy ones do have flaps that cover the mesh over, great! Might order one Yes they do, mine is from there, I like the fact that the mesh can be open or closed by the flaps, its why we ended up with the one we did. BTW I will be coming to watch you at Royal miss Katie!!

Oh no, hope she's ok!

Awwww shucks Thankyou I feel like a fumbling fool most of the time!

Thanks! Yes it was lovely to finish with such a great score. Her first 2 trials were really nice too but both times she did something wrong so lost us a few points (90 and 91), so I was hoping the last one she would pull it together and get a nice score in the 90's, just didn't expect a 98! Yes I have to say I am very pleased with how Millie is going. Not so sure about Ruby though :p Woohoo well done!!!!! Sounds like a lovely, and tempting, location to have a trial in!!

Me tooooooooo!!! No you don't Me three :D
-
and you got to work Soggy Bear which was just stunning to watch If you weren't so greedy and wanted to trial her yourself, I would gladly trial her :D I have a soft spot for her Edit: and I think she has a soft spot for me too, she slipped me the tongue on several occasions yesterday!

Huge congrats to Zoe's River!! NRD title, wahooooooo!!! The cake and biccies on Sunday were so yummy! No wonder I like coming down to agility. Yummy food and no stress of being in a trial :D Hopefully that will change next year, I want to put Ruby into novice jumping sometime next year

Excellent news I am sure they are all very relieved. Great news!! :p

Ditto. If Ruby is lagging and disinterested, I tend to pull her out. Those rounds really upset me as I know she's capable of more Then there is yesterday where she was back to being happy and enthusiastic to be out there, so much in fact that she ran off to greet the stewards standing as figure 8 posts. I continued as she was just happy to be out there. Just means I need to work harder on proofing distractions. The rest of her round was pretty good :p

Gah!!! How devastating!!!!! There was a poor girl in our CCD ring yesterday who was on a pass, and we were returning to the dogs after the down stay and when she reached her dog, it sat up The poor girl!!!!

You've probably tried this but thought it might be worth mentioning just in case! Have you tried covering the crate? Millie carries on like a pork chop when she is in the car or tied out while training Ruby. I thought being crated would be no different. If she can see us, she goes berserk. I covered the crate over so she couldn't see us and hey presto! Quiet dog! :p I actually never thought it would work which is why I took so long to break out the crate at training and trials First time I shoved her in I threw in an i-squeak, she spent the whole hour while Ruby and I were doing agility just lightly squeaking it, and the crate would rock a bit here and there Second time, no i-squeak, just her and covered over, brilliant I actually think it settled her down TOO much, as once I got her out of the crate at the trial yesterday for her go, she was flatter than I'd ever seen her when it comes to working

Does anyone have a large soft crate they are looking to sell by any chance?
