  1. They have replied to me many times, too. It's the phone call I have had problems with! Once I was on hold for 10 minutes before I had a chance to even speak to anyone and then the line got disconnected!! I was not happy Jan!!! Hey guys, is there room for 2 extra crates under the cabanas? As MM is bringing Mason and I wouldn't mind bringing Ruby down (so I can do some distraction training with her on the sidelines ;)) No worries if there isn't, I'll leave her at home, just wanted to check!!
  2. Congrats on the final ADX pass! Not sure what time I am getting there tomorrow, damn car servicing ;) Might even have to wait around for the service to happen so I don't have to go back in the arvo to pick it up, so not sure what time that will delay me to tomorrow. My nice day off ruined my car servicing ;) Can't wait to finally make it there tomorrow to watch! Do you guys stay all day? I don't want to get there as everyone is going home!
  3. Use this form to join and to fill in Mason's registration details: http://www.dogswest.com/Pdfs/Applications/...Application.pdf This should give you an Ordinary membership, not Associate. Your hubby will also need to be a member if he wishes to trial him, and if Mason is registered in both your names, the form says this: "If the dog is jointly owned, (Mr & Mrs) then a double membership must be applied for". So you guys would need an Ordinary Double membership at a guess. Thanks RS, Mason is registered in my name so I dont know if we can apply for double membership? I will maybe ask them tomorrow if I come down. Or you could shoot them an email and ask

  5. Good luck everyone for tomorrow and onwards I'm coming down on Friday to watch, hope you've saved me some cabana space OzJen!
  6. Do you??? Since when?? And is that at any BP&G?? Rat It has been advertised in the mag for ages I would say the last 2 plus years The bonus of the discount with BP&G is that they add it to your membership so you automatically get the discount when you quote your membership, no need to flash your DogsWest membership card. With City Farmers, you need to show your DogsWest membership with each purchase. I don't even carry my card with me
  7. I tried to get that with City Farmers last year with my membership and the guy said they don't do it anymore. So they lost my business, took it to BP&G where they DO offer it. Now I see in the new copy of the Canine News its "back" (no idea if it actually went or not or if this guy was just telling me porkies) I'll stick with BP&G for most of my purchases
  8. My only real reference is Labs and the impression I got with Aussies, too. I guess with the less popular breeds they mainly go out on Mains? Yes Labs are big BYB dogs BUT not being on mains registration is not going to stop BYB's!!
  9. I am tapping you on the shoulder to let you know that you should have bought 2 clickers because you are bound to lose the frist one ;) Psst - to help you with your timing - if you live with somebody - in your mind set them a challenge - so walk from the kitchen down the hall to the bedroom and turn on the light. Explain to the person that its a game of hot and cold so when they are getting hotter or closer to the final challenge you will click and give them a treat - so $1 coin, a chocolate - I used peanuts and see how long it takes them to work out what you wanted. Its a great way to see from the dogs perspective how we can really confuse them with our timing the only difference is that a person can really voice what they are thinking. You can even start the game by clicker and treating for eye contact....... Good luck Or to make the challenge that more interesting, don't tell them you're playing a game of hot and cold as we can't tell the dogs what game we are trying to play If they do something right, click them and give them a chocolate or something and they will wonder what they did to get it. See if they try again And no, I haven't played this game (yet )
  10. Mmmm dinner I haven't eaten my lunch yet, maybe I shouldn't and just save myself. I will be the pig at the buffet on her 5th helping ;)
  11. What's "munted" about Kyzer?? Go on, start showing Trixie
  12. But it doesn't do the breed (nor breeder) any justice if the dog's conformation is crap (for want of a better word ) and they parade around the show ring just to get the breed "out there". That's why I thought some breeders were careful about what register they are placed on. Eh I dunno, I'm not a show person, nor a breeder If my next puppy is show quality, I will be madly looking around for someone to take my puppy into the showring for me. Doesn't much interest me
  13. The only thing with this is if your dog is on the Limited Register, you need your breeder to upgrade your dog to Main Registered if you want to show if you both think the dog is good enough. Yep indeed, I just think of mains because both my dogs have main reg, despite them both being munted Did you ever plan on showing? Might be different in your breeds but it's pretty rare for a breeder to let a pet dog go on Mains unless they had plans for the showring.

  15. How do I get a copy?? Become a member of Canine. You can become an Assoiciate member and if you are going to compete in Tracking you will need to become a member anyway, that way you can also enter some obedience trials too. She won't need to become an Associate member, Mason I believe is registered on the Limited Register so she can still become a full member, that's my understanding anyway Or are us LR owners classed as Associate members? I thought it was only those with Associate dogs that are Associate members? Ruby is LR and Millie is Associate, but I always thought I had full membership?? Gosh OzJen, now you've got me confused! Additionally, I always thought you could subscribe to the Canine News without being a member, but I'm not completely sure so MM, check out www.dogswest.com to find out more info on subscribing I thought if you were just doing dog sports its Associate, if you want to show or breed its a full membership. Nope I don't believe so. Ruby is Limited Register, means she has all the stuff behind her a Mains Registered dog has, she is just not deemed show quality so I can't show or breed with her (mighty fine by me ) Associate dogs are those who do not have pedigree papers, regardless of unofficial purebred or crossbred status. If you register an Associate dog first and then get a pedigree, you can upgrade your membership to ordinary not associate. But because I had the pedigree dog before the associate, I believe my membership is already ordinary, same as those who have a Mains Registered dog "just doing dog sports" watch it VCBR ;)

  17. 5 obidience trials in the metro area. Wow, you're going to be busy RS!! I want that last Novice pass, dammit!! Saying that, I have now just jinxed myself and we won't get it If it's hot, I can kiss any chance of a pass goodbye.

  22. I had longed for a little yellow Labrador girl for as long as I can remember. Growing up I wasn't allowed one, but the day finally came where I was in the position to get one My little Ruby at 3 weeks old: 6 weeks old: 8 weeks old and first day home meeting our Maltese, Chloe: 9 weeks old and proud of herself because she taught herself how to use the doggy door: 6 months old, first trip to the river, the little devil found mud first :D : At a year old: My beautiful girl now, at 3 years old My dog.
  23. I can live with a small amount of coconut but peanuts are just wrong! Both your versions sound awesome!! Is there going to be any left for Friday? :D I'll go to the shops Thurs night and pick up the stuff to make the honeycomb slice, but I take no responsibility if it turns out inedible! I should be there at a respectable hour on Friday thanks to my car being booked in for a service that day too. GR - Entry is off Station St which is off Albany Hwy, Cannington.
