  1. Great photos as usual CM. Have these been Lomofied?(my word) whatever you've done, I love the PP.
  2. I thought you meant black with tan points but do you mean tan with black muzzle?
  3. I would love to import a solid colour Nimrodel whippet, a small curvy one like they used to be, not the big tall flat backed ones I see alot of these days, either fawn, blue, blue fawn, silver or cream. Not sure if she has cream in her bloodlines but that's what I'd like anyway.
  4. I dont think any of us have the 2.8L and I am certainly not in any hurry to buy it. The non L macro is fantastic.
  5. He only has to run backwards and he's out of that chain too.
  6. that dog has an enormous chest! to my untrained eye it makes his legs look stumpy.
  7. I dont feed Barf but Persephone put a link for you to read, have you done that? As to Bindie not being out there last night, you need to remove the food so none of your dogs can free feed. It's too easy to slip up and Bindie will get into it as well. I cannot stress this enough, you need to have total control over what goes into her stomach so you need to take the dry food up off the floor. Off the floor,,going to Perseys link now. bewdy then you will have total control over what goes in. You should start seeing results quite quickly. How about weighing her today and starting to keep a record. Then we can cheer her on.

I cannot stress this enough, you need to have total control over what goes into her stomach so you need to take the dry food up off the floor. I've gone back over my previous posts and put in red the times I have stressed no more free feeding and so far it's up to 5 times. I hope it's got through to you. I am sure I am not the only one to say it.
  9. If you still mean you are leaving dry food down for them to eat freely when ever they want take it away! This is part of the problem, your little fat dog can help herself whenever she wants. You have no control over how much she eats. No food to be left on the floor for them to free feed from now on. Never.
  10. I am not sure if you mean here that you used to free feed, meaning you just left plenty of food out all day and whoever wanted to eat it could. If that's what you mean, it's exactly what has to stop. From now on you will need to be very strict, each dog gets its own bowl with a small amount, only what is needed for a little dog. Make sure they stick to their own bowls and dont steal each others. Good luck, if you stick to it, it will work.
  11. I would also suggest weighing your dog at the vets every week so you know whether you are reducing her food enough. The vet shouldn't charge you just to use their scales.
  12. what are you currently using cause you take some pretty good photos already.
  13. I took this today, Pennys 11th birthday photo with my 100m macro
  14. Since getting a camera I try to take a portrait photo of my whippets on their birthday, just like the Queen. So here is my beautiful Penny, whos pedigree name is Maysleith Musicale and her racing name was Little Savage, a name she lived up to last Saturday night when she tried to murder Kibah. Hard to imagine looking at that gentle face.
  15. Just popping in to add my continued support for Jed and her fur family. I hope her body is healing and getting all the love and care it needs to help her deal with what lays ahead. Does anyone know if she is conscious yet?
  16. Why would he say the puppy is dead if it isn't, what does he have to gain from that. I agree you should be given proof if it is.
  17. I use to feed a varied diet, chicken pieces raw 2,visible fat & skin off, lean mince, cooked liver,a stew of mice, pasta, rice, soup mix & veges, chicken mince.I mixed stuff together & would think she would have had a cup full when the cooked stuff was served. Yes,I was shocked to think she had thought it a risk but cut her to see any how, this is what really stressed me out that she should suffer for Drs mistake, done now so I will move on cautiously,if I knew her doubts..... thoughts....I would never of booked her for surgery never, take their advice and trust, don't we. how unusual! Seriously, did she get all that in one day. My 9 kilo whippet would be lucky to get a cup full of food per day and they are active! She probably only needs a quarter of a cup per day. I just wanted to add, feeding them more doesn't mean you love them more.
  18. When a dog is so tiny all those treats add up probably to a whole meal, or maybe even more. You need to be very structured with what you feed her now, no free grazing if that is how you currently feed. Just a small portion of food for the day and that's it, no treats. She does need exercise. Swimming would be good for her. I wonder if there's no doggy pool or beach near you, she might even be small enough to paddle in your bath. Just fill it up and hold her in there so the paddles her little legs. Just to give you an idea of how little I feed, I have 5 dogs, 2 weigh 9 kilos, 1 weighs 11 kilos and the 2 boys weigh 17.5 kilos. I only feed 3 kilos of chicken mince between them all for a week! They get vegies and a small amount of dry food, and bones once a week to keep their teeth clean. They are not skinny.
  19. I am not sure about this case but I hadn't got the papers back from Dogs vic when I sold the puppies. They didn't understand something I'd written on the paperwork so instead of writing or ringing me to ask, they just did nothing. It was months before I eventually got them.
  20. Have you told your vet why you need to know, that this person is demanding money? Perhaps then he can at least tell you if it's dead or alive.
  21. I took this ages ago but I still like it.
  22. Yes but if she advises Dogs Vic that the puppy is already dead then he cannot use those papers for another dog. Unless of course Dogs Vic are very shoddy with their records.
