  1. I wonder if her feet have touched the ground yet or is she still floating.
  2. thanks for indentifying it. I initally though RBB but then I wasn't so sure. Yes they are shy, a few years ago my 5 dogs had bailed one up near the back door at home while I was out. Even though I could see they'd bitten it, it still didn't try to attack, it just wanted to hide. The only time it bit was when I picked it up with long handled bbq tongs, it turned and bit them. I plonked it in a bucket and released it in the Nat Park just up the road. Lucky for me and the dogs it wasn't a tiger, we have them here too.

    Peta

Do they have proof it was anti freeze and do they have proof PETA did it?
  4. I've only seen one this whole Summer and that was 3 days ago, it was dead just outside my place, I moved it off the road. I dont know if it's a RBB or copperhead, snake experts, can you tell me? The poor thing had alot of blood around its mouth and I photoshopped it out so it wouldn't look so gruesome.
  5. First place I looked when I got home. Well Done and Congratulations!!!!! You must be on cloud 9 right now. Amazing!

  9. OOh Annie, I like this one, it has an almost painterly feel to it for me anyway. And CM, that is a particularly beautiful photo of Chester.
  10. Well, I've posted it back registered mail to Canon in Sydney with an explanation of what the problem is and a request for either repair of the parts (even if they cant find anything wrong with the lens) or a new lens. Fat chance methinks of either, but there's no harm in asking. If that doesn't work it's back to the retailer to try to get them to make good on their word, but I suspect if they cant find the fault I will be stuck.
  11. amazing and fantastic and and and................. far out, I am excited for you! I remember the school kids photos, have you got in touch with the kids who posed for them, I bet they'd be excited too. Congratulations!!
  12. They are fantastic, I've never managed to get a good bird in flight shot yet. How funny is the second pic, I bet the lower bird is swearing in bird language. Please tell us what settings you had on your camera, how you managed to get the exposure right, I dont know, I always stuff it up.
  13. I always love your photos CM, you are always so creative.
  14. I've already talked to the retailer, they are the ones who told me to go directly to Canon. Then when I rang Canon they said it's out of warranty, and I explained what the retailer had previously told me about it being a known problem so therefore covered under warranty. They said that's between me and the retailer. There's some buck passing going on. I've since told the retailer what Canon said and they say it's nothing to do with them. I have written a letter to Canon explaining everything and asking for either free repair or replacement lens, fingers crossed I get one or the other. My main concern, apart from having to cough up $$ when I dont think I should, is that they just wont be able to find the fault. It's such an intermittent problem, it wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't do it for them.
  15. I think something more along the lines above is better, brief, polite, to the point. Dont say anything about the dog being territorial, it might be leaving yourself open to blame if they get attacked. good luck
  16. I love my 50mm but not long after I bought it I noticed it didn't always focus, it would just freeze. Eventually when I realised it was the lens and not operator problems I took it back to the retailer and they sent it off to Canon. Not surprisingly, because it's such an intermittent problem, they couldn't replicate it. I asked the retailer what would happen if it does it again outside the warranty period and they said because I've already reported it as a problem it will be OK, any repairs would be free. Well it's started doing it again, but now when I ring Canon they say it's outside the warranty and they wont promise anything. I think I should either get it repaired or even replaced FOC but I dont hold out much hope of that. I am so miserable.
  17. Ugh so glad to hear back from you, I assumed the worst when you didn't come back. That's great to hear she is doing fine, what was wrong with her?

  21. Cute little dog I met the other day. I've been tinkering with zoom browser, the program that came with the camera if you're wondering what the hell happened to the colour.
