  1. It's not the sort of thing you'd want to kiss better is it. hahahaha
  2. I cant believe a dog can be that thin and still be alive! I hope it can recover.
  3. Puck had his dressing removed today and the vet was happy with how it looked as when he was on the table it looked all sealed up. He said it could stay open. Of course when we left it opened a bit and bled a tiny bit but I will leave it open for now. I've kept him quiet and hopefully after a good nights sleep it will have sealed and healed alot more. I saw a council worker at the park and told him about the glass, he said he would mention it to the council but he also said he can guarantee they will do Jack Sh!t about it.
  4. His birthday too?!? It is a special day today, Happy Birthday Barkly!
  5. Happy Birthday Ivan, Kibah is exactly 1 year younger than you, just like me and Mel Gibson! I hope your mum spoilt you.
  6. Because 10 years ago today my beautiful Kibah aka Hydale Blue Wren aka Pocket Rocket was born. Happy Birthday my mighty spider killer, banana thief and slayer of mouses. She's had some of her favourite foods today, bananas, of course, and some water melon, usually she only gets the peel with a generous amount of flesh left on it for her, but today she got a whole big chunk all to herself, and some cheese is always welcome too. Here's she is, my little watermelon lips mmmmmmmmmmm! nothing wrong with her reflexes.
  7. where's their capes, they're flying! You really captured that intensity on their faces.
  8. I love the one of Vessie and the little girl and the first one of Mavis. I bet you will have fun this week, big congrats on your new purchase.
  9. He needs his flower pot helmet for protection. hahaha
  10. Is it possible he's been dragging his bottom and it's been abraded. Poor little man, whatever it is I bet it's tender. You might need to rub some cream on it, wear gloves.
  11. Clicking Mad that shot is amazing and fantastic and brilliant and and and......anyway, I love it! Good to see Trixie showing her snappers Ruthless. If I tried to take pics like that of my crew they would immediately stop playing. I think they want the public to just think whippets are gentle demure creatures.
  12. If you have room in your freezer you could always put them in there for a couple of days, they'd probably then be fine to feed to the doggies. I bet mine would scoff them without a thought.
  13. bwahahahaha, she looks like she's just been dropped out of the sky your dogs crack me up.
  14. just watch out, you might infect your whole pantry with them. Where do you store them?
  15. That's exactly how I saw it, she was encouraging the shepherd to be anxious and then jealous of the puppy. I am not one bit surprised this is how it turned out, just sad for both dogs.
  16. What a journey it's been, I am so glad you stuck with this breeder, your patience was certainly tried but it was all worth it in the end. Love the name Gilbert too.
  17. Marcus was extremely tolerant of the very persistent Henry. I wouldn't blame or discipline Marcus if he eventually puts Henry in his rightful puppy place. I know you haven't said this has happened yet but if it does, it might be a good thing.
  18. a sad update here, the owner has rehomed her shepherd, which she had first, because, surprise surprise, it attacked the whippet.
  19. If you cannot bring her inside, do you have an old table, a card table is what I used and put it over her bedding. I had a whelping box, but you dont need one, you just need a warm place to contain the puppy, such as the kids wading pool. Place the table over the top and you can put a blanket over that to create a warm cave like environment. Here's a pic of the set up I had, when it was too warm I would lift the blanket as is shown here, and if it was cold I would lower it.
  20. Yes, I'd like to make them run the marathon over broken glass.
  21. eyes will open around the 2 week mark although it can vary a bit, sometimes as early as 9 days. If you have kitchen scales you might want to start weighing puppy to make sure he/she? is putting on weight. Keep your handling of puppy to a minimum if mum seems anxious.
  22. Obviously written and photographed by a bloke No photo of the dog, just a glass of beer
