I have just bought an OKS trolley so can't comment on durability etc but I asked about bigger wheels and I was assured the regular ones are fine, bigger would cost a heap more plus make it taller. I had some mods made, at no extra cost. A horizontal bar all around to hang a water bucket on, a split lid and a 1 inch hole in each half of the lid so I can drop a chain through and padlock everything together. I am very happy with my new trolley.

But sometimes people have to put there pets in kennels for other reasons then holidays. I did recently because of my daughter's wedding. Usually the dogs come with me to her place, but this one time she didn't want them there. I wasn't going to go against her wishes nor was I going to miss my only child's wedding. So into the kennels they went.

If I had left my pets at that BK I would expect that the people responsible for them would have stayed at the kennels instead of going off to fight fires elsewhere. Their first responsibility was to the animals they were paid to take care of, nothing else. If they truly thought there was nothing they could do to save the boarders and they had to leave to save their own lives, so be it. I would be totally distraught at my pets dieing this way but I also wouldn't want people to die trying to save my pets. However, it appears, from various sources, that a bit of a cavalier attitude was taken to the boarding animals and that I would never forgive. Alphabets post was excellent but I can't help but point out that they stayed and defended, this other mob didn't seem to think that was important.

I ditched them and only have my pup insured now with Woolworths and only for the first two years. After that I'll take my chances like I used to.

Anyone Ever Ordered From Whelpingsupplies.com.au?

It would be poor service if there have been no errors whatsoever by anyone. Buyer, Seller, Australian Post. Only one side of the story here. -

so people can't even have a holiday now and why wait 3 weeks to query something? -
He won't take himself outside to toilet until he knows that's what he is supposed to do. So you still have to teach him.

simple fix is to crate the dog inside while you are outside. I would be beyond ropable if my child came home and said the dog bit me. What about the kids that are scared of dogs or allergic? A dog in the school ground would have been enough for one child I knew to end up seriously ill from fear. Running around in a playground with a bunch of kids is totally different to being in your home with your granddaughter. And again easily fixed by separating playtimes.

I usually don't decide on homes until 8 weeks of age so rego is often not sent in until then. I would not be worried yet.

Any Worthy Alternatives To Shonky Petplan Insurance?
Rebanne replied to UltimatePup's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I ditched petplan and joined my current pup up with Woolies. Most life long issues will show up within the first couple of years. After that it is bad luck things like bloat, broken legs, snake bite etc. If my current pup has no issues in the first couple of years, and there is no reason she would, I'll drop the insurance and cover the bad luck stuff like I always have, with a credit card. -
Homeopathic Vaccination

totally agree. If the breeder is doing their job properly future vaccinations would have been discussed. -

I know where that Christmas party was! Benny looks good. Did you see the show greyhound's there? -
what a good idea! Though most of my yard has inner fences, they protect the few shrubs/small trees etc that I do have growing.

I had neighbours move in at the back of my place with 3 staffy types. They love jumping on the fence. Not too bad but they do it if my dogs are there and of course my dogs were interested cause the staffy's are. Vicious circle. My dogs aren't barkers but I was worried about injuries amongst the trees or snapping at each other so I built an inner fence from mesh and Bunnings compost panels. My dogs still patrol, staffy's still scratch at the fence but the heat has gone out of the confrontation.

Only an MRI showed up Fern's problems, xray showed a very faint problem spot which was actually not a problem. Fern's is at the base of her tail. We saw a specialist at Werribee Vet Clinic. The confinement was tried first as I didn't want to do surgery. I've kept her going pretty happily for 12 months now, with confinement on flare ups, limiting her activity and using Pred.

strict crate rest for at least 6 weeks, toilet on lead only, good pain killers.
