Don't ever get a Greyhound, they live to kill stuffies!
-
Ok OCD is very much something that can just happen, occurs in fast growing dogs, greyhounds can suffer from it. Usually a simple op is all it takes to fix it. My greyhound man told me about it.
-
Genetic does not mean hereditary though. Breeders may not have ever had anything like this show up. Genetic things can crop up in any thing that lives.
-
Breeders don't make a living from selling pups, at least ethical ones don't. What breed? I have bought a dog that turned out to be a lemon ( so to speak ) and bred one. Neither the other breeder or myself set out to do so, sometimes sh!t just happens. I'd be asking to see the results of the health tests.

My backyard is divided up and I can put different dogs in different areas but I always make sure the pup/s are not next to the older dog cause they do fence run - alot. I do not need the injuries that can occur and my neighbours do not need the excited barks at 6 am! :D
-
I'd just halve the one you have making it 3.5 X 3. If most of the time they are free running they'll sleep in their dog run. If you have two 7 metre long runs next to each other chances are they will fence run and that's not so good for young or old joints

I think you have what it takes to do this successfully. And while I would never sell you a greyhound puppy or youngster, an older greyhound would be very happy as long as it was walked twice a day. I also think you should go an older dog whatever the breed. They are more settled usually and you know what you are getting.

for "official" results when you want to share them with buyers or breed clubs etc then get a vet to do them. Otherwise do them yourself

is he sucking it? So very cute

Might need a new computer or drivers or something. I had no trouble watching it, was great. And I had a great day showing as well. What did you show?
-
And I wouldn't be allowing your dog to chase others either. The nervous dog are also entitled to have a space to run. Can you call him off?
-
my 2cents worth. I see both points of view. Did it hurt you to walk your dog on lead for 10 minutes while the older dog just pottered around happily? No. Should the guy expect other dogs to not enter or to leave every time he wants his dog to be able to potter around? No. Give and take.

go to a breeder, you don't get papers for petshop puppies and you won't know if it is a purbred Pom or not.

An allergy to a foreign substance can occur in anybody and does not require certain bloodlines to be predisposed to it. Apologies for "insulting" you. exactly. How do you know the breeder of the great grand parent is not out to cause mischief? Maybe they hold a grudge against the breeder of your dog. I am sorry your dog passed away suddenly and you had no warning but all procedures carry risks and I do not think your dogs breeding had anything to do with his death.

onto my 2nd entire dog in the house without any problems

I plait together 3 strips of fleece to make a tug toy. You could sew some round pieces together and stuff it with more fleece, easier to pick up and re stuff.

I have to say I agree with ShesalikeableBiBear. Very slow to respond to emails or FB messages. And his quote was higher then JetPets. eta this was in August.

Is There A Market For Whelping Boxs?
Rebanne replied to GermanShepherd1's topic in General Dog Discussion
I don't like it, the extended part to me is way too enclosed - tunnel vision. I've always used Bunning compost cages to make that part. Puppies can see so much more. -
I've just joined up my new pup with Woolies. No idea if they are any good on claims etc. Just wanted some basic cover for the silly years.

Remedies - Have You Tried Any And Had Results?
Rebanne replied to a topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I have used Bach Flowers with varied success. When it worked it was great, when it didn't - well it didn't. I am lucky to have a vet who is also qualified in Alternative remedies. However, I never found anything that really worked well with my nervous traveller. I find crating her in the car keeps us both calmer! -
Yes No No interesting how many want to see the Mum at least I have a litter at home, leased the Mum, whelped the pups, sent Mum and pups back when they were two weeks old, then bought pups back when they were 7 weeks old. I have no Mum to show buyers. Have Grandma and Uncle though. My foundation bitch I did see the Mum but she had ditched the puppies at quite a young age so was put back with the other adults and I only saw the pups, no interactions with other adults. Not every one raises pups the way I raise them. I have no problems buying a pup raised in a kennel. What's too many dogs?
