  1. OK will do. Not sure if he is worth it though. The little darling has been "helping" my daughter's dog with their new lawn seed. A big help...NOT!!!!!
  2. I am going but just entering Rally Excellent. Waldo has had so little training due to his injured leg I was too scared to enter CD. Maybe I should have. This will be our first go at rally Excellent.
  3. Way to go Gabby & Zena!!! What an awesome effort from you both.

  8. No trial brag but............. after 12 months of working hard to teach a mini schnauzer a formal dumbbell retrieve without back yard zoomies this morning he did it!!!!!! "Waldo the occasionally wonderful" was wonderful and yes I am pleased (or relieved)
  9. Nothing is 110% confirmed yet but it will be over the weekend of the 23rd/24th :) Interesting way to spend our wedding anniversary...with a dog instead of DH
  10. Our dogs have stayed there 3 or 4 times. It was fine. Cindy was spoilt rotten. Sucked up to the volunteers and got so many cuddles I am not sure she wanted to come home. My daughter's border collie x stayed also and was exercised well.
  11. Sounds like my first trial! Just breathe! You need 3 qualifying scores to get your title under 2 different judges. take heart and great encouragement from that score. It is ABSOLUTE PROOF that you and and your dog work well together so use that to remind yourself in the ring tonight. Just remember that the judges want you to do well!
  12. She worked very well Linda! Very well done and much deserved.

  14. What about local attractions such as good walks, places to take your dog for a swim, does a vet have a speciality, where to go for training, etc. The other thing I would think about is a stall for those thinking about getting a dog-where to buy them, what to think about before hand, etc.
  15. Done and they had mini-schnauzers on the list
  16. I have used the concept of understanding a dog's genetic history rather than "pedigree" with a couple people recently and they both grasped it clearly. Neither are considering doodles now.
  17. I am too chicken as well. My daughter does Waldo's for me. Perhaps I should get a dremmel?
  18. Well done Linda! 2 UDX passes. Violet is just amazing as well.
  19. Waldo is recovering from a torn muscle and had his first swim at WoofPurnay yesterday. He HATES swimming. He had a life jacket on and was fine. The first 2 laps he tried to get out but I kept swimming him. After 3 groups of 2 laps each he was still trying to get out and clearly knew where the exit was but was happier. The attendant was excellent and took great care of him. To go just a bit off topic-It was hard not to laugh at times though. Poor Waldo just escaped the crate and now his mean mum is doing this to him. Just wish I had a camera. The costs are wrong on the web page. It is $25 for the first swim and then $11 per swim or $88 for the card of 10 swims.
  20. Well done Gabby! And very well done Xena!!!!
