Women Injured And Animals Killed In Overnight Fires (caboolture Qld)

Oh no. :D I hope its just a minor set back and she is back on the road to recovery very very soon. Hang in there Jed. -
I have met a long haired Mastiff. She was absolutely GORGEOUS! A complete surprise for the breeder too.
-
I just don't understand the price difference. Its very weird.

Two ads from different breeders, one after the other: "VCA registered Staffordshire BT puppies - blue fawn $600" "Pedigree Staffordshire BT puppies with papers - blue $2500" Wha??
-
Absolutely agree with casowner. I feel sorry for the dog, and agree the council stuffed up, but if the owner had done the right thing, the dog would not have been impounded.

I really feel for you. We lost our first Dane to bloat and it was just awful. I am paranoid about my current Dane getting it too. I think you need to make yourself very aware of what symptoms of bloat are (excess salivation, pacing, rolling, bloated tummy), and then store than info safely in the back of your mind. I know its hard, but if its going to happen, it will happen. You can't really prevent it or pre-empt it. If you spend all your time worrying, you are not enjoying your dog. You know more now than you did before, you know what to look for and you know when your dog is sick. So if they are not sick, try not to worry about them becoming sick. Its quite normal for dogs to eat grass though. Whenever I take my dogs to my friend's property, they go mad eating the grass (must taste better than the grass in my backyard!). Sometimes they throw it up later, but most of the time they don't.

Very sad. I wonder if the person walking them was supposed to be doing that?

Hip Dysplasia ,i Don't Know What To Do...help
Kirty replied to bridie's topic in General Dog Discussion
You cannot blame the breeder if you dog is massively overweight!! If she is a purebred Chi, she should weigh about 2.5kg. If she weighs 4kg, she is obese and this could absolutely be the cause of the HD. Stop stressing about everything else for now, and just concentrate on getting the weight off her. She NEEDS to lose weight. You don't need to make any decisions yet, just help her lose the weight. -
Well that sounds promising. She was very good last night and eventually lost interest in the kittens.

Get the weight off and you will probably find that she doesn't even need the surgery. Halve her meals and give her some mashed pumpkin or grated carrot as a filler. Don't expect the weight to come off overnight, it can be a long process. -
Haha, no not a tired yawn.
-
LOL!
-
Frustration would explain it in this case, because I am sitting here telling her to stop looking at the kitten that way! She is being very good and has now stopped eyeing him off.
-
Phoebe is a very anxious dog and I know that yawning is often a sign of being anxious, I'm just not sure how it ties in with wanting to eat the kitten! LOL! And pers, her foot is bigger than the kitten - it could definitely fit in her mouth!!
-
I posted the other day about my Great Dane being a bit too interested in my foster kittens. Well tonight she is inside (under VERY close supervision) and one of the kittens has plonked himself down about 1m from her. He is just sitting there watching her. Phoebe is looking at him intently and keeps yawning. Is this a type of anxiety, as in she wants to do something but is unsure about it?

I was going to say lurcher mix. But yep, Poodle cross is also very possible.
