As an Educator with the Responsible Pet Ownership program, we teach all children and parents some basic rules about approaching dogs. No owner No lead No touch! The children are taught the safe way to approach a dog& owner if they wish to pat the dog. Walk up slowly and stop 3 big steps away. Ask permission. Let the dog smell the back of your hand. Pat the dog gently on the back, don't touch the head and don't lean over the top of the dog. A 4yr old pre-school child can understand all of this, pity about some adults. Any dog with teeth is capable of biting under some circumstances, no matter how well trained you may think they are.

What a terrible Group 7 entry for that show... i'll have to run off and check who the judge is.

Kcc And Bulla Policy Says - No Set Up The Day Before.
capanash replied to Stolzseinrotts's topic in General Dog Discussion
We heard that some of these early setup offenders complained about their gazebos getting wet when the sprinklers at KCC park came on Saturday morning. Personally I do not think it to be a huge issue as long as there is room between gazebos for people at the back to get through, but rules are rules. Just slightly OT, parking rules seemed to be ignored to the point of becomming dangerous at KCC park, cars were parked along the roadway and on the grass. Surely if you are fit enough to run aroung the ring with a dog you can walk a few metres from the carpark to the ring with your gear. -
I love my Oztrail 2.4 compact... sits nicely behind the front seats in the car and I can put it up by myself.

The spinning wheel of death!!!!! AHHHHHHh

Still not correct for my breed... we have more numbers between us than is listed in the breed breakdown. In NZ they provide you with the breed break down every show. I think NSW does for some.

Thanks SwaY, but where are the Standard Poodles? We have 2 entered.

What Has Happened To Child Handlers Classes
capanash replied to teddywaddy's topic in General Dog Discussion
It is printed on page 6 of the ANKC Junior Handlers manual that a judge should not go over a dog. The JH shows the bite where applicable. And yes I am an accredited JH judge. I notice that your location is overseas, maybe your rules are different from our ANKC. -
Neat, clean, colour and style to suit the breed. We show Standard poodles, so something you can run in and skirts not too short. The most expensive suit has been purchased for $20 at an Op Shop so you don't have to spend a fortune to look presentable.

Wanted something good temperament, smart, non-shedding and medium size. At our local dog park we had a met a lovely Standard Poodle who was very friendly. Never had any regrets, Standard poodles have been the perfect choice, only problem is we keep getting more! We had also seen a Sci-fi movie "Attack of the Killer Tongue" where the lead character had 4 Std Poodles, daughter said jokingly thats what she wanted, we now have 7.

VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! Great to see they class being so well supported. So take that all the set-in-their-ways show people... just proves that people will entered it! Can't wait to see the Neuter entry for Cranbourne.

My compact fits with heaps of room to spare behind the front seats. Rivers Outlet (Parkdale, VIC) currently has 2.4m sides that zip in the middle available. Set of two sides for $84.95. or Mesh 3m sides for around $44-50 for the set of 2 sides.
-
When is this show?
-
Sway where can I get a 2.4m oztrail :p BTW way thats a really great price! Maybe Whelping Supplies should stock the old zip-in-the-middle walls? I know several people that want to but them.

To prove that they are officially a Neuter. Just because they are desexed doesn't mean they can be shown as a Neuter.
