  1. Like 'MavericksMission' I also lurk in this thread - its great to read everyone's stories, see the photos and videos! Reading about the obedience classes makes me happy to know that its not just Asti who is interested in juice bottles! and has almost inspired me to find an agilty class to take Asti too (for exercise and better obedience)! The sarcasm and beheaded toys cracks me up! ... back to the shadows to continue lurking with MavericksMission...
  2. Ok maybe not Loch Ness but what about hippos... (Asti and her mate Baxter the pug)
  3. We your furry kids and photos FM! Our thread would win the 'most photos posted in a thread' award!!!
  4. These are the sad puppy dog eyes I get when Asti gets made to wear socks because she's licking her paws...
  5. This thread is a great! The similar thread should be titled "Post your crazy dog face expressions" and see what happens...
  6. Lovin' your kids FM and like KK, I am biased too!!!
  7. That is a great photo!!! I always think Asti is built a bit like a staffy (minus the ears)
  8. We were feeding Asti Science Diet and raw mince, her poo's were soft and we just thought she had normal energy levels for a Frenchie. When we switched her over to BARF her itching slowly went away, her poos were firm and her activity levels were 'brought down a notch'. After I told our friends about Asti's behaviour change they switched their beagle over to a 'natural' product (but still from woolies/coles) and the beagle is a totally different dog, the people at the dog park actually asked what they'd done to him as he was significantly calmer. I too think that if colours and preservatives make dogs crazy hyper no wonder our kids are diagnosed with ADD and other behaviour problems!

  10. Hi! We go to Acacia Ridge Vet Surgery, Bowden is great! He sees Asti and my friends Pug. I know that a couple of other people with Pugs drive down from Ipswich to see him. Sammie
  11. I love seeing the pics and watching the vid's of Elbie! Asti is too stubborn for any more tricks other than shake and high-5! P.S. Nice house
  12. I would like to try... I'm still learning so those tutorials on the website will help! The bad thing is I can't blame my camera as I bought a Canon 7D with my bonus money last month, pity I can't use it to its full potential yet (photography course here I come)
  13. :D Are you serious? I thought you were all joking about Bacon flavoured bubbles!!! :D Maybe they'll entice Asti to like the bubble machine instead of running away and hiding from them...
  14. This thread inspired me to go out and buy Asti a muffin tin pan and 6 tennis balls... I was very surprised at how she problem solved to get the treats out - she just rolled the balls until they stuck to the ball and spun out of the bottom That is not what I thought would happen, so now she knows that short cut I'm going to have to find some other types of balls to hide the treats under. I love everyone's ideas and so will Asti!
  15. Frodo's Mum - I'm sooo jealous Asti doesn't like the bubbles as much as Jolie does... You can tell just from the look on her face! "Get that thing AWAY FROM ME!"
  16. I love these photos! The chocolate lab and red chair are a great combo!
  17. Blue Bubble (a bit pixelated since I shrunk the photo)

    Stop Chewing

We used Vicks... it stopped Asti chewing and the house smelled nice too!
  19. Its a small eye dropper bottle in the detergents/ironing section of Coles/Woolies... you only need 1 drop as its really strong!
  20. The PupHead ones is the one I have too... Biozet and NilOdour drops work a treat
  21. Hi Minxy, We live in Moorooka but take our Frenchie to see the Bowden at the Acacia Ridge Vet Surgery - whilst its a little further away he also see's my friends pug so is used to seeing the brachy breeds. Bowden own's the surgery is really relaxed, friendly and always has time to see everyone, I've never had an issue getting in to see him. I'd recommend him if you don't mind driving 10 mins down the road. Sammie
  22. We use one for Asti as we have her inside most of the day while we're at work. She learnt to use it very quickly and even goes on it when its drying in the sun instead of the real grass! I agree the small gets bad and you ahve to clean it once a week, we use BioZet from Coles/Woolies. Asti has pulled at the sides of the grass so we got another grass topper to interchange on a weekly basis and it works well.
  23. I was only thinking the other day that we haven't heard from you in ages, and now I'm so sorry to hear about Sid and words can't describe how sad I am that Sid had to experience this. We have just got home from a local dog park where I am so thankful that the big dogs are all very polite and its a well controlled environment, if something seem weird (all dogs barking, forming in groups) we leave. I also want to send you healing Frenchy vibes and please keep us updated in the Frenchie Thread...
  24. I went to Wagtails at Sumner Park, I wasn't impressed, my friend also went about 6 months before me and had a different trainer who she thought was 'ok'. Maybe try someone else other than this company....
