  3. Crossing everything for you kimboisin. Just keep a close eye on her gums and get her to the vet asap if she gets too pale. Bonnie (dog in the link) went through a rough couple weeks after eating ratsak but she made it through and was back to 100% after alot of TLC, it was 3 or 4days before she was treated with VitK injection/pills. Massive healing vibes coming your way ps. Please ignore my signature, she passed away from completly unrelated complications.
  4. Indie would absolutly have Sean Connery's voice, he is so laid back, docile and acts like a wise old man despite being a teenager. Very "regal" in personality lol. Heaven forbid you should ask him do to something ungentleman like! Astrid (promise I will put her in my sig soon), hmmm, not sure. Someone with an annoying high pitched voice and hyper active personality "GIMME THE BALL! GIMME THE BALL! ....GIMME THE FOOD!GIMME THE FOOD!...PAT ME! PAT ME! PAT ME!" All the while bouncing in the air like "Tiger". Suggestions? Bonnie was deffinatly Cameron Diaz. Fun loving, feminine yet feisty and deffinatly had her blonde moments like alot of Cameron's roles lol. Deffinatly put wayyy too much thought into that!
  5. Damn. Last minute change of plans, unexpected visitors arriving today. Sorry guys.
  6. Sunday should be good for me, time guys? It's onlead isn't it? Just so I know weather or not to take Astrid with me, she is too small for offlead gatherings unlike Indie.
  7. Parra park is perfect for me, just around the corner ( 10min long corner mind you lol).
  8. So sorry for your loss dianed. Rest easy over the rainbow bridge sweet Sophie

So sorry to hear of your loss Rach . Rest easy over the rainbow bridge sweet Jay Jay . Big hugs Rach
  10. Thanks guys!!! I'll post pictures as soon as I get my laptop back from having it's screen replaced, hopefully Friday. Lots of cutsie pictures. Indie is slowly getting used to not having to be afraid of Astrid when he is playing fetch/eating. I miss Bonnie so much but she was forever putting Indie in his place and had to be separated whenever they had food. Not sure if he will ever be as close to Astrid as he was Bonnie but he seems to really be enjoying not having to be wary of getting told off by her. Pretends he doesn't want her to cuddle into him but you'll see by the photos that Indies just a sook. She was estimated to be 12wks old (13wks now), but she has suddenly lost alot of her puppy teeth so guessing she may be older than first thought? Such a little guts, just like a mini Bonnie lol, practically inhales her food. Indies just loving life again. Just fantastic seeing the old Indie return.
  11. Hey guys! Sorry, my laptop has been on the blink (toddler cracked the plasma screen) so my internet access either keeps failing/half my screen dissapears. So.... Whoo hoo, Astrid got home on Saturday. She getting alot stronger being home, poor thing was skeletal when I collected her. She is on the high energy gastro wet food but she is coping well with little bits of dry etc. Her collar was in the smallest hole when I left her and I could JUST get 2fingers in it...now I can fit my whole hand through it! She was SO excited to see Indie (and me ofcourse ;) ). Greeted him like she had known him her whole life. She is settling in so well. Such a spunky little tyke, not fazed by anything. Little "guts" too, lives for food unlike Indie, scoffs it down like there is no tomorrow. She cried for 5minutes the first night when put them to bed but she was great last night, smart little cookie she is. She and Indie are both on lockdown for the next 4wks to make sure they arent shedding the virus anymore when we go out, so Im hoping she turns into a well rounded dog despite me not being able to socialise her (asif she needs more socialising than she had at the pound, free puppy preschool lol). So far she seems great with everything and everybody, just crossing fingers she stays that way with being stuck at home. So far so good! Oh, Indie has still been eating everyday! You can just feel a tiny bit of difference when you touch him. I'll weigh him today to check to see how much weight he has put on. Things are looking up!
  12. Ok now to figure out what to do when she gets home... Should I quarantine her for a couple days? Read that they can still shed the virus for 48hrs after they are better? Can someone define "better"? Is it just her stools that contain the transmittable virus? Had a fair few different things told to me about that subject. How long untill she would be allowed to be socialized with other puppies? ie puppy preschool or other well known pups? Should I keep Indie home for the next 14days just incase he has picked it up and spreads it? He is vaccinated. Google is FULL of conflicting thoughts on parvo.
  13. Soooo need to get on the laptop so I can access the smilies lol
  14. I was almost too scared to answer the phone when the vet just called! Considering I've been calling atleast 4 times a day for any news on her, and had spoken to the nurse a couple hrs before hand, I panicked when I saw the vets number come up. SO happy!!! Thankyou again everyone, you've been so kind to myself and the tribe, really helped me to try and stay positive through everything, massive hugs guys!!
  15. Lol thanks guys! More good news! Vet just called to say she is keeping food down too!! *does the happy dance*
  16. Astrid got sicker last night, more diahorea ( no blood) and weaker...... BUT...... She is now up, happy and drinking/ holding down water on her own!!!!!!! They are going to try her with food tonight and want me to call back at lunch time tomorrow! Whoo hoo!!!! On my iPhone so can't post smiley emotions, can someone do them for me, pretty please lol
  17. He's still eating but he has gone into anxiety mode again. Started howling and carrying on as soon as I arrived home from the vet without her. Doing the same thing anytime I go out. Hiding in the bedroom again. But atleast he is still eating like a normal dog. I was really hoping for her to have a little more life in her after being on the drip for 72hrs but still staying positive.
  18. Just spoke to the vet. She has started having diahorea but no blood in it. Still very weak but no more vomiting. Come on lil one.
  19. She has a quite short, dense (except for her head), wirey coat. Noted down as a "terrier cross (maybe cav?)" Ideas guys? She has a long body, stumpty legs and the longest tail! Her coat looks soft in the photos but its very coarse and wirey. That's very typical F1 poodle cross coat. If you told me she was a Toy Poodle x Maltese or even Poodle x CKCS, I'd believe you. Thankyou PF...just dont tell my neighbours will you!!! Last thing I want is them bragging about "cav x poodles", did you know that theirs cost $950 and I should have got one of them instead of Bonnie & Indie?!! Ofcourse if their breeder doesnt have any available then just google "cav x poodle" and it will tell you all the petshops that have them! Shits me that they have managed to get a fair few people to get one from petshops, and they know I volunteer at the pound. Anyways, that is a whole other topic. As far as I am telling them, she will just be my cute little mutt ;) . PA~ The leg over the top of Astrid is exactly how he used to sleep with Bonnie. That photo kills me but it shows how happy he is.
  20. She has a quite short, dense (except for her head), wirey coat. Noted down as a "terrier cross (maybe cav?)" Ideas guys? She has a long body, stumpty legs and the longest tail! Her coat looks soft in the photos but its very coarse and wirey.
  21. Thankyou everyone for your warm thoughts. Still no change in her this morning. Surely my quota of bad luck is just about up now? She was straight from the pound that I voluteer at, I take full responsibility for not quarantining her myself. She was 110% healthy and happy when she arrived home. Eating, drinking, playing, exploring. Had been fully vet checked and vaccinated before arriving, no one could have known she was sick. She was only in the pound just on 7days, likely she picked it up before arriving. Totally my own fault for risking Indies health too. The pound has been fantastic, refunded adoption costs, helped with desinfecting and are trying to talk to the vet clinic she is at. They have also contacted rescues/adopters that have taken dogs that were near her. They have done way more than they should have to help me with her. Her carers are absolutly gutted at what has happend. Ive told Astrid that she better come out of the vet clinic with her pedigree papers from her rare, best in show winning parents ;) . Few photos from Saturday.... Getting sick on Sunday...
  22. Astrid was rushed into the emergency vet on Sunday afternoon. SHE HAS PARVOVIRUS!!! Its touch and go. 50/50 chance of survival at this point. She went downhill so fast, vet said if I hadnt gone with my gut and taken her in (no diahorea or parvo smell) then she wanted have been alive on Monday morning. She went cold and rigid with pure white gums, completly unresponsive to everything that was happening to her. Hooked up to a drip in isolation so I cant visit her but at the moment she still hasnt had diahorea and is now and then lifting her head. She is a spunky little monkey so we are praying she pulls through this one. House/yard/everything has been disinfected. Vet said is is likely Indie will get it too but shouldnt affect him too much if any...said to watch out for him going off his food . Only time will tell. Indie started howling and carrying on as soon as I came home without her, touch wood he is still eating but he has become a recluse again. Come on Astrid! I was a bawling mess in the vet clinic, he remembered Bonnie instantly and couldnt stop saying how much he loved her. Emotional is an understatment these past 2days. ETA~ I AM AN IDIOT! I was going to quarintine her but after full vet check, vacc and as there hasnt been a parvo case in about 3months...plus cuteness factor, I stupidly didnt. I SHOULD KNOW BETTER. I will NEVER do that again! Lucky she was only allowed in a couple of areas and I know exactly where she was sick/toileted/was lying down so it has been extremly well disinfected.
  23. Bad news time? I know you's arent going to belive this one....
  24. Good News~ Barium meal was fine, more blood tests were fine. So we decided to try bringing another dog into our home, wanted to avoid drugging him unless it was the only option. "Astrid" a 12wk old little terrier cross rescue joined us on Saturday mornng.......... Indie has eaten 4bowls of dog food, lamb neck, lamb roast and dog treats!!!!!! He started playing fetch again within a few hours of her arriving!! He slept in his own bed (which he shared with Bon) for the first time since she past away!!! Completly different dog!
