  1. Miele Front loader - love it! Cleans really well. (I had a FP top loader prior)
  2. Thanks for the replies so far - it is helpful to hear from others. Will do a bit more online research, but the f/4 looking the goods so far for my purposes, and bonus if it is a bit lighter too.
  3. Hi. I have a Canon 60D and currently have a kit lens (18-55) and a 50mm 1.8. I mainly use the 50mm lens. I have just completed my first face to face camera course, and am now thinking about a new lens. At the moment I'm thinking of getting the 70-200mm lens - for dog sport photos and maybe some landscapes. What I cannot work out is whether to get the f/4 or splurge on the f/2.8, and do I need the IS version (ie should I get the F/4 IS or f/2.8 without IS which is around where my budget is). Next question - any good online stores that people can recommend?
  4. Great pics KTB. The doglets obviously had a ball. :D I always struggle to get good beach photos so you have done really well capturing all the fun and games
  5. Just went to week 1 (of 4), 3 hours, 4 students, was really good. Great starting point. I think so far I can recommend for beginners. 1 person had a Nikon but it didn't matter in the slightest.
  6. Mine is the real thing too. Not cheap though.
  7. I went through a couple of cheaper ones before I decided to get the BSB. I wish I had bought it earlier! Took me about 30min to install (I had never had a prior need to find the anchor points in my car  ) It is tough and looks like it would last for years. I go to the beach frequently with one med-large dog so needed something this strong. I am still able to secure my dog - I use two straps joined together for the length.
  8. Quite a few people on here have them. I think they need a bit of light maintenance, but most seem happy with their Roombas :D
  9. I'm thinking about doing one - there is a 4 week beginners one for $295. Covers the basics and each session is 3 hours long! Might have to get in before the 31st and see if the code still works!
  10. That is fantastic - love it! :D
  11. I have separated my dog and cat as they don't get along. I wish I had spent more time on training the dog when he was a puppy, but unfortunately my cat is not dog savvy and made it worse. (The dog actually is scared of some other cats and won't go near them, but alas, not the cat at home). Anyway, the safest thing was to put a babygate up to allow the cat part of the house where she is safe. It works well for now, and I am still trying to train the dog! Maybe one day...... I think that some form of containment (crate, leash, etc) whilst you are training your puppy would be a good idea and would certainly reduce everyone's stress levels.
  12. Still waiting for mine - shipped on 16th Nov (I think) :)
  13. Farewell Miss Frida Such great photos of the cute girl with Elbie and Hoover. I think they will all miss one another.
  14. KTB that is a great video. What a wonderful job you have done with Ollie and what a fantastic new family you found for him
  15. Sounds like a great idea :) I would be keen when I have time, and would love to get tips from others as I am only a beginner!
  16. I was looking at that lens on my shopping.com.au and topbuy also had a good deal (cash sales - direct debit, not credit)
  17. I think you were holding out on us with photos so you could enjoy all that cute kelpieness by yourself! She looks so sweet, I hope she finds a lovely home :)
  18. Such a sad, sad story. I'm glad poor Cookie was able to have someone to care for her as well as you did. It is nice to know there are such compassionate, caring people around.
