  1. I think my sis hit the nail on the head with suggested origin of one of my rescues, Mulan I went to the pound to find a med size dog after loosing my blue heeler and came home with this older approx 8yo chi x pom , had smokey eyes , having had a black chi as a child i had a soft spot and couldn't leave her there . She had been well looked after , at one stage she had had a op on her ear , she was well mannered and house trained, one of the cleanest dogs I have ever owned, she was skittish and not fond of noise , pertified of men , def not suited to my home, but she was with me for 10yrs . My sis thinks that she was a older persons dog , that that person had probabaly died and mulan had gone to a family memeber who had not cared for her and possible a male had hurt her , I found her at pound NYE so I guess that come holidays she was dumped rather than kenneled . She lived a happy life and my friends hubby showed her men were ok and eventually she would approach any man for a pat . If had found the right home for her I'd have let her go , But i was very fussy and she stayed with me .
  2. 3rd order, got wrong size easy walker , then found 2 more things I want
  3. I got wrong size for Chopper too, the measurements said get Large, but I have it tightened all the way it can go , wondering if I should get the right size b4 free ship ends
  4. Completely OT but the cartoon in your sig just made me :D That was SO me at training last night - there were "screw up cookies" being handed out left, right and centre I soooooo wish my screw ups were at training

  6. the Tuesday night trial run by HDAC and ADC are always the 1st Tuesday of the month , HDAC runs the even months and ADC the odd [ as ADC are odd people ] HDAC uses eperformace for their entries for all trials now , as well as written entries , eperformance saves the trial sec a lot of work I believe so they close later .
  7. I'll pay that !! Hilarious. I wish I could think of come backs like that :) I have my moments, it is good when ur brain works when u need it , shut her up
  8. depending on laws in ur area and ur feeling on them , invisible fence at the gate could work, I'd be very worried that ur dog could get out and be hit , alt can u fence the area carport to gate so the dog doesn't go there at all
  9. Relax. Enjoy your dog. Forgive your mistakes. Celebrate every achievement. I'll let you in on a secret....many of us are in the same boat! I agree :) I always say I am my dogs handicap , while they may never reach the heights in agility they are capable of , we have fun :D I suppose I could say my high potential agility dogs have a low agility potential owner
  10. maybe they are thinking , omg the paparazzi I haven't seen my hairdresser yet
  11. Was it an off-lead area? yes it was in the area where dogs were allowed off , later because of non poop picking people it was made non dog , but back then it was allowed she was just a cranky dog hating person obv
  12. great pics ty every1 for posting them , put a huge smile on my dial :D reminds me of the time i found a kitten , had it at home for the night , gizzi hates cats and would normally chase them , I introduced the kitten to her and she was such a good girl, it followed her all round and rubbed all over her, you could see she was not too impressed , but she just tolerated it :) found a pic
  13. I was walking my dogs one day , had my swf off lead , she was roaming off the path in the park , never paid any heed or went near the woman , she said" dogs shouldn't be off lead ! "quite rudely with a turned up nose . I said "someone let you off !"and kept walking
  14. I say u have to get good at juggling i think u need to take a happy pill , the walk isn't doing it obv
  15. oh u have your work cut out for you,but when u get the results it means soooo much more, both my dogs have started late , Chopper was 18months when we started training and 2yp when start competing , he is now has JDM, JDO ADO, GDM,SDX , ADX , SPDX TITLES....Ricki was 2 when I got her and started competing this year at 3 , needs 1 q in each thing to go to excellant , oh except she has sd, spd lol , she is hard work , I never thought i would get her to trial, but now she is looking to be a extremely good agility dog , don't know if my handling good enough to take her to her full potential, I know I hold Chopper back
  16. lol what a great pics, has a slave to clean those hard to reach places
  17. do we need to book, or just trun up, do i need bring swimmers lol think mine may need coaxing to go in and I may be the right bait lol
  18. often see dogs that are revved up, running barking along fences , then one attacks another , I assume the dominant dog attacking the lesser.
  19. I agree , he must not have seen that it was turning from play to a serious fight . I have play fought with many dogs over many years and never has it even looked like turning to anything serious, same as my dogs play fight and never have I had those turn into real fights . I have had the occasional foster/visiting dog playing and seen a change in the dogs and stopped it well before anything happened. He was play fighting with another human, not his dog. ok I read that sooooo wrong lol , well that is a stupid thing to do , now I understand why ppl saying it attack him and not friend, depends on the bond the friend has with the dog . I looked after a dog for sm1 once quite often , he always taught it stupid behaviour that was dangerous , when it was with me I shaped that behaviour to reduce the inevitable . well the inevitable happened, when that person and I had a run in about the dog and argued about his stupidity . He told the dog to sick me and gave me a shove and the dog went in to protect , but it protected me and not him , he was the one that got bitten .had he not taught the dog to attack when told, i would not have taught the dog to wait til there was physical contact , unfortunately for him it chose me as the one to protect . also luckily he saw the error of his ways and that his way was the wrong way and the dog lived happily ever after lol
