  1. I'd love an update in a few months on how your dog goes on it, i have a girl with pancreatitis and she is eating a ton of food and I cant get any weight on her, but if I change her diet it sends her into a horrible bad attack . I am too scared to try anything else but what she is on now , but maybe if another did ok on it with no effect I may try it I will probably forget to get back to you - but will update in here in a few months to let you know how he is going on the BH. I have ran out of Barf at the moment and they are all on BH and bones, chicken frames (not often) for Hamish and he is looking fantastic. I am pleased to say he is gaining weight already but I am feeding him lots more than the girls. I was terrified to try something else with him too so I know what mean, the information I got was they have a few dogs with pancreatitis on BH who are doing well so I thought why not, fingers crossed he will too. Glad I did and I suppose the big test is how he goes in a few months but for now he is processing everything well, no issues at all and has way too much energy to burn. Hamish has only had the one attack, I have played around with his diet a little bit and could have set him back twice, put him back on rabbit or turkey barf and he was fine. I have since decided that I have been pretty lucky so far when reading about other dogs with pancreatitis so thought it's best I find what he does well on and leave it alone. PM me if you would like so we can stay in touch. thankyou , I will keep an eye out on this thread, if i see nothing from you after a while I will pm and see how your dog is going, Gizzi seems to have a quite bad case and even a slight change upsets her, She has had very painful injection at the vet a couple of times now, so bad so that she shakes when at vets and visibly terrified , she never cared about the vet before
  2. think the pub names would have to be ACD's wouldnt they  ' can't think of anymore royals apart from the ones listed above
  3. I buy the 20kg bag I'd love an update in a few months on how your dog goes on it, i have a girl with pancreatitis and she is eating a ton of food and I cant get any weight on her, but if I change her diet it sends her into a horrible bad attack . I am too scared to try anything else but what she is on now , but maybe if another did ok on it with no effect I may try it

  5. I was wondering the other day when i was pegging the top of the bag , if a resealable top would be something that could happen in the future :)

  7. I wish I had had a camera with me years ago, when my tiny lil niece went into my brothers kennels to visit the greys , high driven racing greys , she knelt down next to the grey in it's bed and it lifted it's head over onto her knee so that she could cuddle and pet it , they were always so gentle with the kids and loved the kids visitng them . Hope you find the perfect dog soon , whatever breed :)

  14. you came to the right place, ;lots of great people here will point yoou in the right direction and give advice . Hope you find your new family memeber soon :)
  15. you would have been best asking the judge, as interpretation of rules differ from judge to judge, not having been there and seen your run I can't say , I have seen 2 dogs finish together and get a Q , but also 2 dogs on the seesaw together get a DQ as it was dangerous and the dogs were not under control . it could be that one had not got off the equip before the other got on that it was not allowed . Pairs is much fun though , I do like to do it :D
  16. I was wondering what happened in such a short time to go from happy love my dog to I have to sell her . There is nothing here to show the dog is misbehaving due to lack of attention , no1 made comments that would make her 2nd think owning the dog , the only thing I saw in the other was moving in with her dad and fear of too rough with pug . Hope she sorts thins out or finds a home, but dividing a yard while the 2 dogs are alone would solve all the probs and then no need for rehoming, there are so many options other than rehoming
  17. love Rolfs ear and gentle looking face :) good to see he has his own thread :D
  18. another great idea ty for posting that smurps the one from the OP involves the troop in the training of the dog , i have not heard back about Ricki, but I assume the guy prob went to a Anzac ceremony
  19. what a horrid thing to happen I leave my animals inside when I am not here , parrots in cage as well as the dogs, esp when I am on night shift there is no reason for them to be outside at night
  20. In NSW at the moment there are ads on the back of some taxi's that are about Guide Dogs and how they are allowed everywhere (with a picture showing a guide dog getting into a taxi). So there must have been enough issues to warrant that, and hopefully that will raise some awareness. there was a incident a while back in Syd where a guide dog was refused into a taxi , so yes there is history , possibly similar situ as we have a lot of imigrsanst in taxis , who dont speak english well and dont know the the law about it obv, no excuse they should know IMO
  21. I got the reply today from John Activity levels change from troop to troop, some are very active and a working type dog could suit. The most important thing is that the dog must be friendly with people and be eager to please. Aged from 9 months to 18 months. thin that for a active person Priya may be ok, she s very friendly and eager to please , so i will email him again
