Oh wow, thats sad isn't it? You must have been really shocked. All a learning curve for us but can't help but think about the poor pup, 5 weeks Makes you wonder what levels some people will lower themselves to to make money ,selling underage puppies

I find that it happens a lot with some owners they seem to be kind of rough/loud around their dogs. Yelling & stuff just raises the levels of arousel imo. Gee things up if you will. Even if that is not their intention at times, just there way. I really don't like loud carry on & that is why when I go to our leash free I pick my times & stay away from everyone with my 2. Its funny cause my guys are quite put off by loudness & avoid it as well. Just not used to it I guess. I am pretty quiet & we have a quiet type of house hold in general really. RSA, Shame about the SBT they are such a nice dog but sometimes they seem to attract the type of owners you are describing this poor fellow has. Rough & loud. Smacking them around & stuff. I don't know why it is. Trying to make them 'tuff' or something, who'd know but it does them or the breed no favours at all. This pup sounds to small to be a CC. I guess you 'get what you pay for' is the old saying, isnt it. Didn't he say he brought the pup on the 'cheap'.

I am surprised no one commented on the bit bolded above. How tiny? I would expect a 7 week old dog that matures to the size of a Cane Corso to be somewhere around 8-10kgs which is hardly tiny. Young yes, not fully vaccinated yes, but tiny, no. If the puppy is a lot smaller than that it may in fact be a lot younger than the supposed 7 weeks. Yes that is a very good point. Pup would be a fair size even at '7' ? weeks. I was shocked when I saw a pic of one of those CC's, wasn't sure what they looked like. They are huge when full grown & very big boned.

Lucky this post isn't about ME HW. It is however about a poor defenseless puppy & a ( don't worry I'm not going to say what I think again ) owner. After all we ALL only want the best out comes for all our four legged friends I'm sure.

OH has just come home & I showed him your poor in-bread pup & he replied, " Oh sure that pup isn't just one of those ones that is always "loafing" around Bet their expensive. They'd cost a lot of dough

I understand that the puppy would have been weaned from its mum for weeks but surely a puppy of 7 weeks should be still in the 'safe' enviroment of its litter mates & 'reputable' breeder. I am a novice owner compared to many (including yourself) HW on this forum & I would never think of buying a 7 week old puppy, let alone taking the poor bloody pup to a dog park & letting him get in harms way. Surely common sense is called for here. IMHO I don't think I was being unfair in calling him a moron cause that is how I feel about his careless actions & this situation

The 17 year old girl seemed such a nice girl when interviewed on TV before the show started. Her devotion to her cute, little Pudsie was very refreshing in this day & age IMHO. I loved the footage I saw on UTUBE on her when she was given Pudsie for her 11th B.day by her mum, just beautiful. The sky is the limit now for both of them & I wish them every success

I was thinking about this poor littley all night. Just so distressing for me to think a pup so young is not with it's mum. Hell, poor thing is not even in a protective, caring enviroment. To think of the fear the pup must be going through & then to be subject to being put on the ground & roughed up by another just beggers belief. They grow to be big dogs those CT's too I had no idea what they looked like but sourced a pic of one, OMG they are huge when full grown & then a horrible thought crossed my mind, IMHO if this pup has the unfortunate luck of having to be "raised" by this MORON, then this MORON is going to have his hands well & truly full with a tonne of dog full of fear aggression This whole situation has a recipe with disaster written all over it & we all know who will suffer the most at the end of it, don't we

I was so scared to open this thread as I thought it will be another sleepless night reliving some vivid image of a tragic puppy or something. How funny is that Very, very clever.

Firstly, hope all goes well with the "meeting" today & you get his papers o.k. Then you can tell these heartless morons exactly what you really think about their absolutely pathetic actions. To do that to a poor defenceless animal is just deplorable & they should hang their heads in dam shame How people do things like that for a start is sooooo far beyond me & still be able to sleep at night Rant Over ! I think you two must just be meant to be together. Fate has had your paths cross literally & Lochi is one very lucky boy to have found someone as very kind as you Thundercat. Hats off to you

Poor little puppy Shouldn't even be away from mum & has a very careless,stupid owner who sounds like he doesn't know any better. What a sad situation. I can only hope someone with experience throws a life line to this puppy. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I've often seen young pups in Pet Shops with a "Ready to go at such and such a date" signs. Me too

Thanks Tassie I am pretty chuffed with Stel's progress too in just a short amount of time & your right I can feel my confidence starting to grow a little as you do tend to lose your nerve when things unravel. Very lucky as OH was not a doggie person per say when we meet 17 years ago but it was a bit of a case of "love me, love my dog " :laugh: he just adores our 2 & when he is not too tired from work ( he works 12 hour days, 6 days a week ) he will do anything I ask if I need help with our guys. I'm on a roll now, onward & upward from here with Miss Stella :laugh:

Quick update regarding Stella for anyone who's interested. Over w.end did a bit of work with Stella using suggestions from previous posts. Took both Sonny & Stella out walking, then OH took Sonny & I took Stella off in different directions, out of each others sight around the local neighbourhood without any trouble what so ever from Stella. She did look back for Sonny & then we went on our way. She didn't look upset or nervous at all, which was great. Then we would meet up again without any drama. OH would Stella in front of Sonny & myself also without a hitch. Going to continue this as often as we can for a while just so she realizes Sonny is only gone for a short time & then he comes back & that is OK. I have been doing some training with her in backyard while Sonny is put inside for a while without an issue either then I swap them around & Sonny gets turn & Stella is inside, that's not a drama either so she is actually handling stuff much better than expected thus far even though it is all pretty simple stuff, it is a start, which is great. Any other idea's will be greatly appreciated & we will give them a try also :) As time goes on I am going to have to up the anti bit by bit as well.

OMG !! That is just terrible poor boy. I would have sued the pants off them. No wonder I don't use boarding kennels. If my dogs can't come with & or OH can't be with them, then I just don't go. And I don't get out much for that very reason but it doesn't bother me cause I only miss them when I away from them any way.

Yes, that is what I have read too. I actually contacted Natural Pet Store about this & they said that the outlet that produces the questionanble product is in Carolina & the distributer for Aus. product is in Nth California. Once again, Natural Pet Store were very helpful & quick to put my mind at ease.
