Honey bee I have pm'd you with some info :) -
We have "buck teeth wars" here. Very funny ! Both of mine are overshots, ha ha :)
-
Oh yes, almost forgot about all the spealing, growling & vocals that go along with the face bitey game. Very noisey almost like a rowdy conversation, then they will stop dead & avoid eye contact with eachother. Then hop straight back into it again. Gotta love it ! Who needs T.V. LOL. Great pics too fellow dolers

This type of play happens lots between my 2 BC'S. Lots of face bites & snapping. Teeth clashing together & stuff. All seems quite harmless but sounds & looks serious. Most of the time their teeth bared but air bites mostly. Usually happens as a prelude to a huge wrestle. Total fun till both are exhausted or after a wrestle when too tired to stand up they will lie down facing each other & face snap each other. So beautiful to watch.

You can't You just need a bigger crate  + 1 LOL. Wish I'd thought of that when my step kids where little.

Yes, thats what I was thinking too. For every 2nd day or something. I will be using mine at night till they get used to it as I have a vacuum chaser.
-
Oh wow ! I have a huge hair issue with 2 long hair haired Border Collies & I am a neat freak. I spend a lot of time vaccuming. I honestly didn't think these vac's would work. Guess whats on my wish list.

Sorry to hear such sad news about your girl Our thoughts are with you at this very difficult time. Don't have to advice you to savour every precious moment you have with her

Big, fluffy Pelican "Pete" is my girl absolute favourite. She carries it around in her mouth most of the day & of an evening watching T.V. when we are just chilling out she always lays like a turtle & sucks on him. I always have about 4 of these usually on the go at one time as when she comes inside from dusk onwards she gets a clean one. I brought the last 2 from WA, Pets Providore. Having trouble finding them but they stock them, great service & free delivery ATM. My boy loves his "Hide-a-bee". You can either hide the bee's in the hive & throw it or just throw the bee's at him as hard as you can & he catches them, growling his head off with delight. He also has a big fluffy Kookaburra that he adores. Yes, they pretty much love toys. Our loungeroom resembles Toys R Us most nights by the time they have raided their toy boxes.

Very bloody handsome.

Very cute. It's all in the eye's. Awesome.

Love the photo ruthless. Bruno looks very comfy & red is certainly his colour. I also have a girl that lies like a turtle  Snooza are a great Aussie company who make really good quality products & they aren't that expensive really as they outlast their competition I find. Sonny has a Snooza Futon that belonged to my last boy who had it for years & it is as still going strong. I use it for a crate pad for him, he loves it. :)

Same Couldn't agree more & I think it is really sad, totally unnatural & unhealthy.

So your dogs could be in a crate for 16 hours (8 overnight and 8 while you're at work) in one day? That just seems nuts to me, I'm not trying to be rude but I just don't think that can be enjoyable for a dog? I agree with you Aussie3. I think to crate a dog for that amount of time is way too long. 2 thirds of the dogs day is spent crated 12 hours IMHO is also way too long.

We have recently had a short stay over the Easter break at Tail Waggers in Tweed Heads . Beautiful part of the world. Hinterland, green rolling hills & water views from your cabin which has a doggie door & secure yard. Cabins are basic but quite o.k. Must take own food though. If you want to get away from it all, Tailwaggers is the place to go. We loved it.

Dogs sleep 20 hours a day Sorry, but my girl is lucky to sleep 20 min during the day, & thats with one eye open just in case a bird thinks about landing in 'her' backyard. She just lies down & she is off again. My boy maybe has a nanna nap in the arvo but not often. They are both crated of a night, from 10 ish till 6.30 am but they are in a secure backyard usually of a day. We have a covered deck that they have hammock beds on if they wish to lay down but it just doesn't happen. They are both out of the yard for 2 to 3 hours each day, walking/swimming etc. I don't leave water in the crates of a night time.

That's interesting Poppy's mum. Must read that book.

Me too !! I just believe do whatever it takes to get help for these poor neglected animals & find them loving home with the adequate care they need. If this gets peoples attention & (obviously it does) it's working. Whether it be scripted or not. Hats off to those dedicated folks, they do an amazing job as we have just witnessed.
-
Wasn't it just Mumsie. I saw it & thought to myself after all she has been through she can still find it from within to wag that little tail. Penny for her thought's at that very moment. Probably, god that feels soooo good, thank you :)

Sooo very true Maxiewolf. It is pretty much always the owners fault. 99% of the time. You are very proud of Brutus, as you should be. I am proud of him. An entire male an all. You are obviously also doing ALL the right things as a responsible owner :)
-
Yes. I still can't get my head around what happened. Still can't sleep. It has really shaken me up. I've never let either of mine loose to roam as puppies or now. Just didn't for this very reason. Anything can happen. Friends of mine always say that I am too protective with mine & "why don't I let them MIX more with other dogs ????". Cause they are actually happy to play with each other & a lot safer. I tend to stay as far as I can away from other dogs/people 99% of the time. They are just too precious to me & it is my job to protect them as best as I can. Sorry for the ramble guys. Just venting. Sleep deprived.

Yes, it is hard to watch & there is nothing wrong with being soft. Least your man enough to admit it Luke W. A lot wouldn't :) My OH is exactly the same.
-
Just beautiful. Dear little girl. Lovely, heart warming story. Found a place to call home. Awesome. Thank you for sharing. Where's the tissues please. Also just thought how scary & horrible to be left out in the elements, hungry, filthly, matted, flea infested & unloved but to not be able to see, TERRIFYING.

Winter time we can also add bush walks as part of our exercise fun as the ticks aren't as bad here as in the summer, they are still around though. So we usually go 2 hour bush on the w.ends when OH is home & they can finish off with a swim. They love it as it is a different form of stimulation & lots more mountains & hilly terrain. :)

Some people are in fairy land I think. I witnessed a very similar scernario yesterday at our local leach-free dog beach but it had a very horrific & tragic ending. In short ( as I am still quite upset about what took place ) One large dog & 2 very small puppies all playing in the shallows, off lead. Owners are present but not paying enough attention IMHO. Big dog has a brain snap, picks up one of the pup's, shakes it & puts it under the water. 5 second's later, poor puppy is dead Owners of puppy screaming & crying. Tried to resuscitate the puppy but it was all to late. I hardly slept last night as all I could hear in my head was this poor woman's screaming & the tiny pup yelping. It all happened that quickly. You can just never be too careful. R.I.P little girl. So, so sorry.
