What a wonderful tribute Rest easy beautiful...you were so very loved Hugs to you and your family Nicky.
  2. I grew up with those toasters that opened on the sides and you flipped the bread around, you know those ones that you burnt half a loaf of bread to charcoal just for two bits of toast? A toaster fire doesn't scare me
  3. I don't support the RSPCA, they make millions every year. I have greyhounds so would prefer to give the small amount of financial assistance I can spare to them. That's just my personal opinion though, millions of people take part so I'm sure it will be a great day for those that do.
  4. OMG that is so typical of a greyhound I do it to Stan all the time..."hey Stan, come here and put this on"
  5. Yeah I think they stuffed up with the Dane one, if you look on the front of the toaster it says Yorkie. Not that it looks like a Yorkie either :/
  6. Just found this on a greyhound FB page :) I love the poodle one as well. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D2RQYD0/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00D2RQYD0&linkCode=as2&tag=labradortra0a-20&linkId=JRNUCKLKLN5BTFD6
  7. Gotta love a Gary  Does Jill have room for him and is she even aware of him? Ignore that I just checked the thread and she is full he looks like a dear little man. Gary is going to ARF, YAAAAAY Fantastic!

  9. I'm sorry for laughing, having met you and Stan now, I was laughing before I even finished reading as I could just imagine it. Yes well with the whole carpark at Jells Park surrounded by copper logs I bet he is the only dog that managed to whack his head on the one log with a nail sticking out *sigh* Was it you or Beltar that said "he's not clumsy he's just unlucky"?
  10. I have white carpet in the lounge room so I have covered it as best I can with rugs, carpet offcuts, towels you name it. Both of mine have thrown up once since we moved in and both managed to find a spot that was not covered O.o Stan did a big up and under next to the TV, he got out of my bed, walked through the house past the open back door, around the lounge, past the coffee table and hurled straight onto the one square foot of white carpet!
  11. Not really BC, it took me years to learn how to copy and paste  my biggest problem is I have zero patience so no one reaaaaally wants to teach me :p
  12. Here you go BCC, thanks for sharing. https://www.facebook.com/DogRescueNewcastle/photos/pb.172426779453404.-2207520000.1429929089./1041011989261541/?type=1&theater
  13. Foxie and Tess are 9 years old and are available from Greyhound Rescue Sydney. I'm sure these gorgeous girls would love to be out of the kennels From GR's Facebook page... Check out our gorgeous silver ladies Foxie and Tess, who are both 9 and are looking for a home. Foxie and Tess came to the kennel with their sister Molly, who has found her forever home. These two lovely, gentle houndesses still have plenty of energy and enjoy a good run from time to time. They are full of character. Foxie is the one with the big smile and Tess the one with doe eyes. They still have a lot of love to give and deserve someone who loves them in return. They can be adopted together or separately. Foxie and Tess's vet bills are covered for life by Greyhound Rescue. We think this lovely pair deserve a couch to retire on, don't you? Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in fostering or adopting Foxie and/ or Tess.
  14. Another walk added in Adelaide, all breeds welcome...I'm lookin' at you Sparkeycat :D
  15. Yep our very own Maddy has registered for the global walk
  16. On June 21st the Great British Greyhound Walk is going global! As you can see by the map in the link Australia and New Zealand are leading the way with greyhound walks all over the country :D If you would like to take part please contact the organiser in your state as some have restrictions. Keep an eye on the locations as more will be added and some are not registered at all for example Greyhound Angels Western Australia are advertising they are taking part yet they are not yet on the global map. http://greatbritishgreyhoundwalk.org.uk/non-uk-walk-schedule/
  17. Thanks for sharing Yonjuro, your support of greyhound rescue is always appreciated
  18. And isn't it funny how some people think they know a breed better than someone who actually owns one and has years of experience and knowledge in said breed? I wouldn't call it being proud of an inability to learn but moreso knowing that your dog is in danger of being seriously injured or killed off lead, I call that responsible ownership and understanding the breed you own
  19. Aren't you supposed to be saying 'mush' not 'whoa' Great pics as usual, love them
  20. There's one on today with the meet up group at Davistown at 2pm, that's not Newcastle. If she finds out about the Point Clare one I'll let you know. As I said she's a vet nurse and lived on the CC for many years so is a wealth of knowledge on all things doggy.
  21. Um yes that's correct it's a thread asking about recall training, my breed is greyhound, I didn't realise we were excluded from the discussion.
  22. Number of greyhounds? I'm not arguing with you I'm questioning your bold statement that all greyhounds can be taught, by you, reliable recall. I'm not interested in if you ever find a dog that can't be trained, I'm interested in how many greyhounds YOU have trained and so are many other greyhound owners that are reading this interesting claim on a public forum. I didn't say it was a competition and becoming defensive is not very professional now is it? I'm not making excuses for my greyhounds as I said, I know them better than anyone and no I wouldn't risk injury or death to them just so I could say they had perfect recall. That would be plain old irresponsible.
