  1. He is now at peace :-) My thoughts are with you in this sad time....
  2. I wonder if she is being overly protective of your wife now she is pregnant.. I would think she could sense a change? I'm in no way an expert but I have heard of this...
  3. I'm concerned because I will be changing what she's used to. She has been crate trained since she was 9 weeks and I don't want to drastically change things if it will confuse her. I'm just trying to make it an easy transition for her. I would say the fact she is crate trained a bonus and that would be a drastic change to stop that since she has been doing it since 9 weeks.. You could use it to seperate, you could use it to give her a break from your current dog, if she is used to sleeping in it then she would feel safe.. Why did you want to not use a crate at all?
  4. Stay strong, thinking of you for tomorrow :-)
  5. Sorry to hear she is deteriaring so quickly, thoughts are with you ...
  6. I am sure he is indeed running free, what a beautiful story and what an amazing soul you are :-)
  7. I'm still waiting for mine posted on the 6Th, my first order seemed to come quite quickly or maybe I am just impatient!!! Lol
  8. Why would you let them off during the day??
  9. That's great :-) I have been buying and freezing turkey and chicken necks so I have a stash..
  10. I was hoping mine would come before Christmas, fingers crossed it is here when I get home today :-)
  11. Oh gee I am crying what a lovely ending :-)
  12. This is just my personal thought, I think children 1 and 2 are too young for a puppy or even a dog.. Why are you getting a dog, for the kids? They will be too young to really appreciate him, help train him etc etc. I have wanted a dog for many years but on careful consideration decided it would be best for all to wait till my family was old enough to actually have a posative relationship with the dog, be involved from the start with training and just basic care. Just my personal thought good luck in whatever breed you choose :-)
  13. That's good to hear, glad he is feeling better :-)
  14. This makes me so mad and the owners have no clue They would more than likely have no understanding how it affected your dog anyway cause it is only a dog Some people should have a licence to function ....
  15. I would love to be able talk further about this .......but just quickly from my own experience manning the phone for our rescue and dealing with the pounds and surrenders ......the staffy/bull breed crosses would be no 1 type dog found in the council pounds . Out of the 9 purebred dogs that we have available for adoption atm 5 are from registered breeders . Three were surrendered by their owners directly and two came in via the vets where they had been taken in for euthanasia.Three of the other four came from pounds so we don't know where they originated from. Wow I would have thought the odd one but 9:-(
  16. You would think so, I wonder if we are talking about older dogs rather than young healthy ones??
  17. Yes I agree, I am trying to picture what a Siberian huskyxcattle dog look like :-)
