  2. I bought my guys to work when they were puppies, but now they are older and too manic. They get too excited with people coming and going, playing with them and revving them up, so it's too hard. But everyone else in the office loves it when I do bring them, I just find I don't get any work done

    Peeing Inside

I didnt realise saying no would be counter productive. That would be practical setting an alarm for the next 2 weeks, but when we go back to work the following week we can't actually do that all night when we go back to work. When we are outside we mostly play/run around. When he tries to sleep we wake him up. I wouldn't be stopping him sleeping, young pups need a lot of sleep. And if he has a nap, he will need to pee when he wakes up. If you're taking him outside every hour, and are outside for 1.5hrs ... is he sleeping/playing etc with you inside in between the outside bathroom trips?
  5. Do they still make it? Their website doesn't work anymore. You could try feeding real yoghurt, it's probably a heap better nutritionally.
  6. I should put a disclaimer on it when I say they stink: I'm vegetarian so quite sensitive to any meat/animal type smells  But they still smell horrid :p
  7. Rear dew claws aren't common in some breeds, but I'm confused as to how a breeder could not notice them, especially if they aren't common in their breed!
  8. How did they not know that, did they never cut his nails or handle his feet
  9. Yes, I was of the opinion that that was the case too. I have a vague recollection of a magazine offering a pet as a prize and that was very quickly and firmly jumped on. I believed this as well? I'm pretty sure I also read/heard it was illegal. It's not.
  10. Chriss i cannot emphasise the above enough !!! I have seen many SO-CALLED Trainer break Amstaffs and Pit's in minutes, and it's mainly due to the breeds reputation that people think these breeds need hard/harsh training methods and they will completely chrush your dog. The biggest threat to the Amstaff breed It's people commenting in a negative way on a breed they know "nothing" about, it's no wonder it's in trouble with BSL! lol...Haredown you cant be serious !! all dogs where bred/designed for a purpose, and that meant possesing a "specific" temperment, trigger or trait. That's EXACTLY how we get a "BREED" And if this dog is a cross of unknown origin, then what?
  11. rear dew claws are very different to front ones and can cause lots of problems cause the whole 'toe' is loose and floppy, They are rarely tight up against the leg like front ones. Yeh I saw after they said only the back ones. Would have thought the breeder would have done it if they were they much trouble.
  12. These would have been really good questions to ask when you did the photography courses?
  13. I'd never remove a dogs dew claws once they were past a few days old unless there was a real reason to do so (ie: they kept splitting them, hurting themselves with them etc). If your breeder didn't remove them close to birth, they probably didn't see a need for it so I'd not be doing it now.
  14. Anyone can give away anything they own, so if they own it they can do what they want with it. Unfortunately :/
  15. Pot, kettle, black. Get over yourself. That's actually a forum rule. As everyone should know. Not quite a need for insults.
  16. He probably gets a pretty good reaction for pooping in the crate too - maybe a loud noise, a fuss, attention, telling him he's naughty etc ... all of which a pup can take as positive reinforcement.
  17. Depends on what they prefer. Mine prefer it uncovered usually, but their crates are under a desk so they get a semi-closed in feeling (although not much because it's a glass top desk  ) without being dark and separated from the rest of the house.
  18. Do you mean normally? If so, yes No I mean in the plastic etc that she pooped out. To be able to locate it and see how much is missing.
  19. Somehow they turn missing dogs into stolen ones, and link them to the same person stealing them. Based on... nothing but two missing dogs. Seriously. Not every time a dog goes missing is it stolen. It's lazy owners who want someone to blame so they don't have to go looking for the dog that escaped from the yard. Reading something on facebook doesn't make it fact.
  20. Wish I could use the head bang emoticon from my phone.
  21. Last time I was in the Hawksbury, it wasn't in Victoria... If you hadn't put the link in, I would have assumed that you accidentally posted in the wrong thread. Hawkesbury is a Sydney regional council but was not mentioned in the linked article in any way whatsoever. If you're trying to confuse people or derail the thread it's probably working. The original post was about police saying reports of dog fighting in the Hills and Hawksbury are hoaxes. You are saying it's not a hoax by linking to a Victorian article. The Hawksbury isn't in Victoria so your article has no relevance to the origin post. And since you know Sydney isn't mentioned in the article, I'm wondering why you even posted it.
