  1. Nasal mites sounds feasable, did the vet offer any treatment? Reverse sneezing is common with nasal mites, but it would be silly for the vet to suggest the dog had it without taking a swap to look at?
  2. They are the national body that represent all rescues, of course!
  3. Cute :) We have a thread for funnies http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/201801-thread-of-immense-lols/page__st__6900
  4. That's hilarious and I don't even have a clue what he's trying say I think they are trying to say Snook has 12 different profiles and they have sent the info to head office. Which head office is any ones guess    Haha thank's for the translations. It worries me that you can read moron :p
  5. That's hilarious and I don't even have a clue what he's trying say
  6. Hope Zig feels better. I had one of my kids up all night unwell too, He finally fell asleep about an hour before my alarm went off. It's hard seeing them sick :/
  7. Get used to it, and the associated cravings for fish and chips
  8. excellent, I'm glad it was resolved so quickly.
  9. And if she tells someone to kill themselves, and that person isn't very stable and It's the last straw for them? It's OK, she's only young. She will learn when she's older how to treat people. 27 is not young. 27 is 20 years past learning to treat people with a shred of decency. By 5 years of age you know there are consequences when you do bad things. She's a little beyond that age.
  10. I'd agree with you except I have no doubt she has not learnt and the behavior will continue. She only apologized when she realised she might get in trouble, not because she thinks her behavior was inappropriate.
  11. Watch the wooden puppy gates, wood is yummy for puppies to chew on and can create bad habits that are hard to break. That's why the metal puppy gates and compost cages are so popular :)
  12. Shouldn't it be on his file if he injected your dog with a drug? Or shouldn't their drug count reflect how many injections they prepared? That's scary that they can give your dog something and not remember. Was the vet concerned that he couldn't remember? I'd be worried, and definitely hesitant about going back there.
  13. GREAT idea Nic. Neither of them stand to keep getting away with the abuse, what lowlifes. They always want to make me vomit into the nearest receptacle. MN should go and start a "church" instead and then no innocent dogs or ethical/decent dog rescuers would be hurt in the process. Her mother must be so proud of who she has become.
  14. They are Australia wide. Sas a friend that was in greyhound rescue has some absolute pearler emails saved from ages ago and very similar to yours. Not only was she a warty hairy chinned twat but apparantly contributing to the death of greyhounds all over Australia! I knew they sent dogs all over, but didn't know they took dogs from other pounds apart from Blacktown and Hawksbury. Seems they might want to start thinking about contacting QLD rescues if they have a dog in a QLD pound they need help with. Or else maybe Krytal needs a map for her birthday
  15. someone should donate a shovel so he can just dig his own hole.
  16. Is she the one in that video that has buttons popping on her shirt? I think I can also see chin hairs... and nose hairs...
  17. He's such a moron. He does know facebook is public ... right?
  18. the fact sheet I found says: When is a Collections for Charitable Purposes licence required? Any organisation that intends to fundraise for a “charitable purpose” as defined in the Act must be the holder of a Collections for Charitable Purposes Licence (CCP Licence). There are a number of licences issued pursuant to the Act: Section 6 Licence Any person acting as a collector that wishes to: • collect or attempt to collect any money or property; or • obtain or attempt to obtain money by the sale of any disc, badge, token, flower, ribbon or other device; or • obtain or attempt to obtain a bequest, devise or other grant of money or property for a charitable purpose must be the holder of a Section 6 licence. There is also a section on collection boxes. But nothing mentions unsolicited donations And "charitible purpose" is defined, and animal welfare falls into the category. The entire code of practice probably covers donations: http://www.olgc.sa.gov.au/Lottery/Collections_for_Charitable_Purposes/Charities_CodeofPractice_2013.pdf
  19. It only affects them if they take donations from my understanding. That was my understanding also of what have been reading from what have seen you cant ask for a donation but can accept a gift ? that also came to me when started hearing what happening elsewhere People who are confused could probably look it up? http://www.olgc.sa.gov.au/lottery/forms/Collection_for_charitable_purposes_FactSheet.pdf
  20. 9% of dogs, and 6% of cats transferred to rescue. Are QLD pounds not willing to work with rescues, or what's a reason for the low number? Although now Pound Rounds have their claws in QLD maybe the stats will look better, but at what cost
  21. Christ, they've wormed their way into QLD pounds now too?
  22. He doesn't make the IMDB credits for the movie, so he can't be too much of a star
  23. Ah but see that would require speed to start with, something my basset hound is allergic to  lol my pug prefers to use things like walls, or me, or her brothers for sudden stops, her dew claws don't come into it :p
