I was thinking about the protein too. I am feeding raw still. Maybe the combination of both the Canidae Pure Sea and raw food may have also increased the protein tenfold. Maybe I should mix two different kibbles together, the existing Advance I have been using and Canidae.
-
ahh yes, so you having the same experience... The poo is soft and.... smell weird I think after the mix of Advanced Chicken and Canidae PureSea, I will slowly change to another brand. Still researching for one.
-
I have him with Advanced Chicken based. Got him a new pack of Advanced Chicken for dental so I can mix with the PureSea together. I am so confused with the range of PureLand, Pure Elements or Pure Sky because they have mixture of meats. If I were to test that then I won't be sure on what or which meat will be upsetting Snowy . Oh well, I might do some more research later on...

does anyone know if higher protein intake will cause ear infection and loose stool? I am doing research and comes up saying so
-
I see no one has loose stool problem hmm maybe Snowy just need to adjust to different source of food. I may cut down to half the required portion based on the instruction behind the pack and gradually increase. Will be feeding more raw food first. But I do know the smell of his stool changed. No, I did not put the stool near to my nose. I caught whiff everytime he did as I watch him like a hawk to clean it up after

Hi all, I've just switched Snowy to Canidae from Advanced, gradually... I noticed how his poo is a little bit wet , soft and lighter brown in color with a weird smell. Well, unlikes his usual poo where it truly stink of the actual human poo! But after fully on Canidae, his poo turns wet and smell weird. Just wondering if anyone with Canidae has the same experience? I am feeding the "Pure Sea" (salmon and etc?) Thanks

does cortisone help in ear infection in terms of the itch or make it worst?
-
yeah I think he did. I couldn't find any pieces any where indoor. He wasn't let outdoor last night as it's too hot.
-
the whole pee pad??!!! WOW ! I think papers are digestible and won't see it in their poo. Snowy eats tissue sometimes if he gets a hold of it! I can't see it in his poo although I promise you I was looking intensely on his poo just to check if any.. :D
-
omg, it sounds eerie for a poo to have eyes but this makes me laugh!
-
that is hilarious. How big is your Mimi by the way?
-
yes, don't know the measurement but he is about 7kg Shih Tzu.. 2 - 3 inch of nylon leash (I feel like killing myself already).. I am hoping it will go through smoothly without obstruction. I will make appointment for tomorrow morning. Will be monitoring his next poo in the later evening. He has his own poo timing.. I have already top up some more pumpkins and vege with a little bit extra virgin oil..
-
I think Snowy has eaten about 2 inch or maybe 3 inch of the nylon leash. I saw the leash this morning after his meal and got shocked. He must have had a go with it last night without me noticing. He did poo and eat his meal this morning, and his usual self. I will be monitoring him tonight, hopefully the leash won't obstruct in his intestine? If I know he had a go with it, I would have fed him more vege to help in digestion and passing through.... Has anyone experience this? Sigh, I am hating myself for not noticing it earlier!

Pooing / How Many Times A Day Is Normal?
ChewieTAG replied to BT-Argo's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Snowy is on half raw half kibbles and he was pooing about 4 times a day when he was few months old. Perhaps the raw diet with the vege mush has too much fiber hence the many times. I cut down on the vege a little bit and he does it twice and sometimes 3 times. He is now a year old. I think it very much depending on their own intestines.. -
How cute! Yummy indeed!

I think puppy's curious & playful mind doesn't understand poo is not for playing or eating Most of the time they will grow out of it (hopefully it's true) My Snowy loves to play with it using his paw to roll it around right after he poos.. I changed my method of picking up after him and also continues giving him treat (with good boy command) to distract him to another place after poo before I pick up his tool.. Till to date, I got a feeling he will make sure someone is around when he poo so he could get treat afterward! I think he sometimes does it twice in a row for the sake of the treat... Hmmmm don't know but he does go twice within 20 minutes timeframe since young and now he is turning a year old this Feb. I sure hope Snowy has grow out of it or maybe the treat actually work to distract him ..

all very cute toilet roll paper stories

Hmm make sense. Moderate intake should be the key

ahhh no!!! I know right! She was in temp foster care and when she went to her permenant foster carers they were told she likes to steal things from the bathroom. The full extent of the stealing however may have not been realised until this incident. OMG , never cease to amaze me the mind of a dog when it comes to really .... stuff...
