  1. Oooooh she's a whiz. I love her dog puzzles, waiting til Master Gus spends more time outside/it's less wet and I'll have some of them. Where did you get yours? They sound cool! ETA forgot you work in a pet store, doh!
  2. Oh I didn't realise he was still so young! Now I'm hoping for your sake that it drops off. It's a total gem! Will photoshop it off the Christmas Card. Hahaha.
  3. If he sat still for long enough I could try it? It's a few littler ones, the mega one is in the behind. I could probably experiment on the foreground one. I just don't want to make it worse or cause more to pop up. A small blessing is that they're centralised and not all over!
  4. It's attractive isn't it?! It does look a lot bigger than it is, thanks Macro camera setting! Lots of tasty detail there.
  5. Desex is about another 5-8 months away, I forgot to mention that! He's only just 5 months, and being a larger dog I thought we'd wait it out as long as we can. 5 is the minimum I'd be happy with, depends how he matures I guess. But hopefully no surgery required in the mean time. Touch wood! Haha.
  6. Gosh, it's as ugly as sin. I believe it's a puppy or senior thing, well so the vet says. I could be wrong. As you wish! My mortal enemy, ruining puppy photos and being generally gross. See where it's very red? That bit is hanging on by a thread, so to speak so I imagine that'll be the first to go but there's a few little ones there. Funnily enough it's the only one, so fingers crossed no more come up.
  7. I thought so! I quite like the idea of a pub dog! Haha. Imagine the scraps and pats! Hahaha.
  8. Gus has a sizable wart on his pretty cheek. It's grown a heap since 8 weeks and it's foul haha. It started off the size of a grain of rice and is now about a pea sized cluster of conjoined warty goodness. I've had 2 vets look it over and both assure me it's nothing major, will drop off in it's own time/can be nipped off when he's desexed. No biggie. The thing is, not only do I hate it, and am sick of explaining what it is to passers by, but it's loose in parts. It's a small cluster really, and he's started knocking it on things during play or the like and it bleeds a little. I clean it with warm salt water and pop some betadine on it but I've about had enough of it. Haha. The vet did offer to nip it off, but suggested a general would be best and I'm not sure if unnecessary anesthesia is a good idea, or that it wouldn't just come back again, which apparently can happen. So this brings me to my dilemma, do I just wait for it to drop off, even if he does keep knocking it or is there a handy home remedy that might help speed up the process? Anyone had any experience with puppy warts? I was going to add a photo but it's really quite ugly and looks like a demon possessed sea anemone. Haha.
  9. In the mean time olive oil helps too, just a little bit on the food (not too much or there's bum-disasters!)
  10. I have no idea, but I think a sidewalk cafe is different as it's rarer that dogs are allowed in enclosed pub courtyards? I could be wrong. I just like beer and puppies. Hahaha.
  11. Me too! Or maybe I don't - that's when I spend too much That would be bad, Puppy's first Christmas and all. I would about cry.
  12. Not to derail, but dare I ask what the disaster was? I;m genuinely curious.
  13. Dogs are allowed in outdoor eating areas if there is a public thouroughfare. There's a fabulous pub in Melbourne that open the courtyard to people and dogs one day a week and make it a special occasion. I would imagine they would have lost their license had it been illegal as it's well publicised and very well attended. That leads me to believe it must be discretionary? It's good fun in summer too. Haha.
  14. I really really agree with this, especially the latter bit.
  15. I took Gus with us, was a good opportunity to get him to settle in line with lots of people and noise and paper flying about. I put Brooke about 20 people ahead of me so he could run back and take him while I went in, I didn't even consider taking him in to be honest. He enjoyed himself though. He got lots of pats, everyone wanted to talk to him and he got to meet lots of kids. No harm no foul I guess.
  16. You could have him checked for a microchip at the vet to at least have the number on hand and start making moves to get him reg right?
  17. Or threaten with the police. Both equally horrifying. Perhaps some fave CCTV cameras you could point out to him? :p
  18. Same here! Will let you know when it arrives. Haha. It's a race!
  19. Watching the election results not so much. Haha. Other than that we went to the park, got rained on and made the grave mistake of eating a sausage in bread at the park. Never felt so popular!
  20. He will, Gus was so anti water (and a truly crap swimmer, might I add) up until the last few weeks when I have to pretty much wrestle him away from puddles, creeks, the beach, the hose, the tap in the bath, you name it (and heaven help you if you leave the shower door open when you're in there!) I think what really did it was playing at the beach with other dogs, made it a positive thing. Also he's got longer legs now so that makes swimming more effectual than going in head first...haha. He'll get there, Odie will show him the way! ;)
  21. 11 days or so seems to be about average here? The site says 6-10 but up to 21. Here's hoping for 6 ;)
  22. Gus does both, though I would rather a loud than a stinker, cause his stinkers are VIOLENT. The loud ones are fab though because if he's asleep he also scares himself awake and stares at his behind for a minute like 'did you do that...' Cracks us up. He's certainly a farter though.
