  1. I get to move in to here now! :) My little pup :) Tyrion
  2. OK we're back. With a new family member. The breeder was lovely, the parents were just beautiful, and the puppies oh so so cute. We have a little boy pembroke puppy called "Tyrion" I will post photos a bit later. :) His registered name is Purdella Chasing Storms. :)
  3. I know the feeling! I can't believe i've waited six months already. And tomorrow could be the day! Aaaaahhhhh how exciting. I've booked into Pre-Puppy School classes also, which we start THURSDAY! eee. :D So excited!!!
  4. All Good, it helps that the house is "baby proof" for my 7 month old lol. Just stressing to the older two that if they don't pick up their toys puppy will try to eat them. Outside is pretty good, blocked off all the holes that dogs could potentially break out of. And we're all set. :)
  5. It would be in your's and Sailor's best interests to ask before you hand over any money :) I would think hip scores as an absolute minimum, but there may be other tests that should've been done before breeding her parents too. You won't know if you don't ask! Take it from me, someone who has been badly burnt in the past. My pup's parents were not hip scored and as it turns out, should never have been bred. My baby was born with severe and crippling hip dysplasia and was put to sleep at 7 months old. A truly horrible experience that I would never wish upon anyone, but it's not all that uncommon unfortunately! Oh god, im so so sorry to hear that Cassie. How heart breaking especially when it could have easily been avoided!
  6. Welcome Turka! Look forward to watching your journey on getting a pup! Breeder called back and confirmed. I'll be meeting the litter at 11am tomorrow. So i'll be running around getting organised this arvo to maybe bring a pup home tomorrow arvo :D
  7. Pembroke Corgi! and Thanks for the list, had most of it on my list except for toy so added!! :) We won't be rushed if we're not 100% happy it won't happen.
  8. Ok, a list of things I'll need to take with me Wednesday?
  9. Big Game of Thrones fans here! Love the TV series, currently reading the second book so that's def where we got the name from! (which is currently our Fav) :)
  10. That is so soon Zereuloh!! So excited for you! So excited! lol as I said, I was expecting to wait a few more months cause they initially thought all these pups were spoken for, but a couple became available. We have everything we need, just need to find out what dog food we need, and then we're set!
  11. Breeder just rang. Tentatively 11am Wednesday to go see puppy's and apparently they're 8 weeks old so he said we'll be able to take one home if we want. This is such a surprise cause we thought we'd be waiting till the next litter! He'll ring back and confirm a bit later cause his car is in getting fixed and if its fixed by Wednesday he'll need to go out, but at this stage he is pretty sure it won't be ready. So we've been thinking of names, (keep in mind some of these were suggest by a three year old, and almost five year old lol) Melman Pinkel Skipper Bucket Boots Tink Tyrion Shaun Raylen Beau
  12. I don't think it would be this weekend, cause the breeder said he has a show on. So hoping we can go Wednesday or after. I thought I was free Tuesday but now it doesn't look like I will be. But, just gotta wait and see!
  13. Woohoo how exciting. You might have a puppy for the school holidays :) Cant wait for pics or more news :) we're super excited! I know that they're both red and white male pups so can't wait till we hear back on when we can go visit!!
  14. Yay for it being puppy day for Lisa! I also have news of my own! I've been talking to the breeder again and instead of waiting for the next litter. They have two puppies that are available from the litter born in may. Which means they're 8 weeks this week! We're waiting to hear back about when we can go look at them but it looks like we could possibly have a puppy sooner rather than later!
  15. Your breeder sounds lovely Lhok. So great to have someone who is supportive! I'm not sure how long i'll be here a few months yet I assume. :-) Also im a member of that facebook group too :D
  16. oh where are you doing show training?!? I live in Ballarat :D
  17. I would think so, but even better if the breeder has cats also and they've been with them from day dot. It shouldn't be to much of an issue with a pup though. :)
  18. So cute! My first corgi would do this! lol I'd steer away from Curly Coated Retrievers. My friend had one and unless it got a two hour walk a day plus extra playtime/training it was mental. It would also rip the fence pailing off the fence to go next door and play with the neighbours dogs. They can also be quite aloof. GAP rehouse cat friendly greyhounds regularly, it would just be a matter of finding a breeder whose greyhounds have been socialised with cats too. :)
  19. Other low exercise dogs oddly, are Greyhounds and Whippets. Biggest couch potatoes ever!
