  2. Oh Lhok im waiting for your update. So excited for you!! I got my boy at 8 weeks. He is 11 weeks today! :D
  3. these are great. lol I'd be Maree Fawcett my other half would be: William Blights and my kids Wilhelm Bell (or Teague, we moved the day he was born lol) Peter Teague and Mary Teague lol
  4. Doing great now thanks :) I'm currently setting my alarm to take him out 4 hourly of a night, which means if I go to bed at midnight, then I only need to get up once before wake up time. I'm sure it won't be long before I get to sleep all night again lol.
  5. I agree with this. :) Talking of toileting, Tyrion is getting much much better at toileting outside. Now if only he would let me know that he needs to go out, but im sure that will come with time. Today is harder cause its VERY windy outside and the wind blows him over so he has trouble standing still long enough to pee properly.
  6. Omg, my MIL does this! She has two working kelpies, and they're both overweight, the smaller one more so than the bigger one. I tell her everytime I go there that they're fat and she just doesn't believe there's anything wrong with them. With my staffy x which was sadly PTS a few years ago she told me that he was underweight cause she could "feel his ribs" im like... they're MEANT to be like that, your not meant to see them, but your meant feel them. Theres just no telling her otherwise.
  7. lol yea sunny and Ballarat just don't go together in winter. It is a less cold day (currently 9 degrees), than it has been lately...
  8. I have teething baby and will be entering teething puppy stage soon lol I think i'll need to bath Tyrion he has been rolling in something and stinks. lol tips for bathing in winter? Drying just with hair dryer?
  9. sitting on my knee! lol he doesn't stay there long though!
  10. Tyrion isn't a huge cuddler but he does cuddle a little bit. Does anyone else's pups back talk them? Tyrion gives me lip if I tell him off for something.
  11. I don't have much experience with puppies, but I do have a lot of experience with human babies. So, i'm gonna take the attachment parenting mummy approach to this - and compare the situations to my experience with my kids. After all, puppies are babies too. lol I'd say its him growing older, a bit more independent and realising he doesn't need to rely on you for everything anymore. That, he can enjoy his own company, or enjoy being in the same room with you without being touched. :)
  12. Feeding him in it appears to be helping! :) Last night we went to bed later than normal so I didn't crate him till 1.30am then he slept till 5.30 and was completely dry, he woke again when the kids got up at 7.30am! Hoping its not a fluke! lol
  13. FINALLY getting some improvement in Tyrion's toileting! We ended up staying up later last night so I didn't crate him till 1.30am he then slept till 5.30am! Crate was completely clean, took him out, he went to the toilet and then slept till 7.30 when the kids and I got up and toileted outside again, and how he is laying near my feet. So excited! lol
  14. I put him in it to sleep during the day, he comes out to toilet, play / other training, and goes back in to sleep and now he gets fed in there too.
  15. it is in the lounge room and I've been sleeping on the couch. We don't have any room in the bedroom for the crate.
  16. Would have been a lot more successful if my Alarm actually went off. :\ going to get a little alarm clock today for tonight.
  17. I've been doing some of the crate game tricks from Susan Garrett's dvd. We have carpet so weeing on carpet would be bad. lol I'll give feeding him in the crate a go and see if that helps, as well as getting up a bit more often to take him outside. Or I could move him into the bathroom on the tiles and let him go there, but just a bit worried this would reinforce its ok to go inside?
  18. I don't feed him in there. Should I start too? I'll start getting up at 1.30 and se if that helps. Thanks. :)
  19. So my corgi pup has been peeing in his crate of a night. Despite my efforts of getting up every 1.5 - 2 hours to take him out. He is 9 weeks old, and we haven't had an inside the house accident in a couple of days. I take him out every couple of hours to toilet and reward him when he does so. But at night he just goes in his crate - he doesn't whinge for me to take him out. Im just after some tips to help stop this? I've been cleaning his crate out with white vinegar every time he goes in there, and restricting his water access from 9pm onwards. I crate him at around 11pm-12am - taking him to the toilet first of course and making sure he goes. But by 2am he has gone I need to change his bedding. He has toys etc in there to keep himself occupied so not sure what else I can do. He will occasionally not go for a 3 hour block so I know he is capable of holding for 2.5 - 3 hours he just isn't for the most part.
  20. How exciting! We start puppy school on Thursday can't wait!
  21. x 1 We have had problems. Just of a night. He is getting better though. I found some wire squares in my shed not long after I posted this and they're doing great as dividers
  22. some more pics of tyrion :) 9 weeks today! just chillin' Fast asleep.
  23. Ok, so I've been using a cat carry crate for my puppy but he's almost too big for it, and he's still to small for the whole of his crate so I'm looking to divide it. I'm aware you can buy dividers for crates but I'm just wondering what else others have used to divide sections off? Thanks, Stacey.
