  1. Sorry if this has already been posted here, just came across it and couldn't find it listed and thought i'd post it here to see what everyone's thoughts were http://au.news.yahoo.com/world/a/-/world/17912968/victorian-government-to-introduce-strict-laws-for-owners-of-dangerous/
  2. We had a much better night last night. He had one accident between midnight and 4. And no accidents between 4 and 7.30
  3. up every 2 hours again (mostly), and only 1 crate accident, which was my fault cause my alarm didn't go off so he was in there 3 hours instead of 2 without a break. Hoping tonight is even better lol and he starts being able to sleep longer without needed to go to the loo cause i'm knackered! lol
  4. so lovely!! I was up every 2 hours with Tyrion last night. 3 crate accidents, but he wee'd outside everytime I took him, and we've been fine during the day. Gonna try every hour and half tonight and see if we cant stop the crate accidents that way.
  5. awww poor Nixon. I'm sure he will be back with you soon
  6. Just a question, what are you washing his bedding in? Millie took to peeing in her bed whenever I shut her in the bathroom even though she had paper down & plenty of room to pee elsewhere, I mentioned it to Millie's breeder & she recommended that I wash Millie's bed in something like Biozet as it breaks down any residual smell from the wee, I got some Biozet & since then she hasn't wee'd in her bed (maybe coincidence) we won't be able to smell anything after we wash the bedding, but maybe puppy can? washing in white vinegar which was suggested on these forums for cleaning up pee messes. I think the cold comment is a fair one, its freezing here and so windy at the moment. My feet are still sore from running outside at 3am this morning in bare feet. The other problem is that I have to have him another room, as there is no room for his crate in my bedroom. Think I'll sleep on the couch for a few nights and see if I can catch him making noise earlier than I am. At least I'm use to being woken at all hours! lol with a 4.5 year old, a 3 year old and a 7 month old not much sleepin' happens here anyway! :D
  7. I wondered if it was partly due to the cold. The weather has been horrendous here, and so damn windy too (the wind knocks him over hes so little)! Gah, just took him outside before - spent about 15 mins out with him, he didn't go, had a little play, popped him into his crate for five minutes so I could put a load of washing on, and he wee'd in there! omg argh. lol,no sooner did I post this, I took him out and we got a wee outside. Yaaaaay
  8. He won't go in? Have you looked at the DVD crate games?
  9. I don't think his crate is to big. He is currently in a cat travel crate. lol He can stand up, turn around, stretch out, but that's about all. I think I'll try the setting alarm for every 2 hours and see how that goes. Hopefully i'll be able to get on top of it then. lol I think he'll need a bath today though! And its so damn cold here.
  10. Last night wasn't as easy as our first night. Did the same routine as the night before, toilet then crate at 12.30am, he woke me up at 3 to find he had already poo'd in his crate. Its a bit looser than i'd like, took him out, cleaned it up, put him back to bed, he settled quickly, woke me at 5.30am to find he had already wee'd in the crate, took him out, cleaned it up, woke me at 7.30 to find he had poo'd in the crate again. Gah, took him out, brought him back in gave him brekkie - took him back out straight away he didn't go AT ALL (was outside for half an hour) even though he looked like he needed to poop, bought him back in and now he is asleep in the crate. Tips?? Hoping today will go better!
  11. We havent tried tyrion outside by hinswlf yet. It is so damn cold here!
  12. Another one that if you have the means and love and the time is right :) Loving all these puppy pictures. How cute was Nova's play date. How was your first night Zereuloh? I love everyone popping back in even though they have there puppies plus it gives us all more gorgeous puppies to swoon over during the wait. He did quite well! Couple of accidents inside, as to be expected, all my own fault cause i'm still learning the signs he needs to go. We toileted and crated at 11.30pm then he woke up at 3am needed to wee, took him to wee, then back in the crate till 7am toilet, food, and a big play, toilet again now he is back asleep and has been for about 2 hours. :)
  13. I agree with Rally, I can't convince you to not get him, he is GORGEOUS! You *should* get him. If you have the time / means etc to care for another dog ;)
  14. This is ridiculous! I have absolutely no plans to breed my puppy, and he will be desexed at 9 months of age as suggested by my breeder to help with development rather than 12 weeks which can interfere with him hormonally which will affect his growth. I do agree that all pet animals should be desexed to combat backyard / puppy farm breeding, but this should be done when it is in the animal's best interest to do so. Allowing people to become a "registered" breeder with such ease is hardly combating the issue, its not exactly expensive so most puppy farmers and backyard breeders would just pay the fee to keep their "business" running.
  15. We had a pretty good 1st night, crated him at about 11.30 pm, he cried for about half an hour, then went to sleep, woke at 3am to wee, I ended up taking him into the bathroom inside instead of outside cause the PoPo helicopter was flying over really low and appeared to be looking for someone so me being overly cautious didn't want to be met outside with some stranger in my yard if that was the case lol. Anyway he did a wee straight away, back into the crate went back to sleep till 7am which I took him outside properly this time and he went toilet properly :) Had a big play and he is asleep again in the crate now - and my seven month old is also asleep in my arms. lol At least puppy night waking won't last as long as baby night waking He is so ridiculously cute. :D
  16. Lovely!! lol, i'm pretty sure my other half would kill me if I let the dog on the bed. haha.
  17. Oh cool thanks :) They really love him, are very gentle lots of pats and attention but giving him space when he is in his crate. :) We're booked in to start puppy pre-school but I think we'll start it next week instead of tomorrow (it runs Thursday nights here), so that it gives him plenty of time to settle in. :) Just gotta get a hang of this toilet training business!!
  18. They're so adorable. Apparently his ears will stick up after teething. lol
