  1. Why even after the warning do I watch these things. My heart broke when he curled up next to him This will haunt me for days
  2. Many thanks xxx The photo is hanging in my bedroom and is the first thing I see of a morning. xx
  3. What a ridiculous suggestion. AGREED!! I'd give up showing if it ever came to that!
  4. I know of a lot of BC's called Flick but not Flit.
  5. There are so many Border Collies called Fly that I would NEVER consider using it. But then again, I have some strange names. Shiva, Cheers, Trouble, Teek just to name a few LOL. I even had a gorgeous girl called Pink xxx If I had one called Hearts Desire (gorgeous name by the way) I'd go with something like Desi, or Heart.
  6. Thank you Milly. He was a truly wonderful dog xx
  7. Me! I did when I applied for my prefix all those years ago. Benshiva was my 31st choice LOL.
  8. Oh for pities sake. Who gives a toss how far she was away from the dogs. She moved away from them, and one lunged at her and bit her badly by the sounds of it. How on earth is any of this her fault!! The bloody dogs should be better trained. Sad state of affairs when a person cannot even walk past dogs on lead without thinking they may get bitten!
  9. Yes you're right. It's such a clever ad and I'm sure Kelly could train her dogs to do just about anything. She works so hard at promoting her purebred dogs. She's a brilliant girl xx
  10. It would seem that Webster is in very good company where he is xxx RIP Redman xxxx
  11. He is the very beautiful Flynn bred/owned and trained by Kelly GIll of Kerodan Border Collies. He is also the mascot for the Sydney Sixers Cricket Team! Kelly and her team are truly fantastic trainers and their Chocolate team are just amazing. Such great ambassadors for our wonderful breed
  12. Sires On Ice is affiliated with Rocky Ridge K9 Facility. Same phone number and they will be able to organise everything for you
  13. It's the only flea treatment that absolutely works on my dogs. None have ever had a bad reaction to it.
  14. Rocky Ridge K9 Facility at Calga is the same facility that Frozen Puppies operated from. You can reach them on (02) 43 751001
  15. It really is the most beautiful photo. I've now hung it in our bedroom right above where he now sits. I only need look at it now and he's right there.
  16. If there was a like button on here this post would get one!! Mine get a mix of dry and wet food, but mostly dry and they are awesome! Wouldn't change a thing. I could read a million articles, but while my dogs are thriving and I mean "Thriving" on the diet they are getting now, I'll continue doing what I"m doing
  17. Why? My passion is Border Collies too but I have a Whippet as well and she fits in perfectly with the Borders. In fact she rules the roost. We all adore the wicked Whippet here
  18. Border Collie Border Collie Border Collie Border Collie and 5th would be a tie between Border Collie and Whippet
  19. Our first Christmas in 11 years without you. In amongst the happy day, I still shed a quiet tear for you. I miss you more than I can say. At least there are not tears every single time I think of you and trust me, you are in my thoughts all the time. Miss you Dude xxx Merry Christmas wherever you are xxx
  20. It's been three months today since my heart left me. Yesterday a very dear friend gave me this photo as a Christmas present. This was our last photo shoot together. She rang out of the blue and asked if she could do some photos of Web and I. She will never know how grateful I am for this last precious shoot with him and I. How quickly time flies. How I love my boy xx
  21. I've seen them at Westminster. Last year we sat and watched the Komondor judging. What an impressive sight that was. A ring full of immaculately turned out Komondors. A sight i'll never forget. LOVE them!
  22. They are pussy cats. I love their temperaments xx
  23. i find this rule rather finicky. For instance if I wanted to name my papillon {prefix} El beshiva, but i can't because thats too similar to the prefix of a border collie breeder in NSW's. Like what impact does that have on the breeder? Agreed. And it appears to be up to the prefix owner to police this, not the admin people processing the registrations. There'd have to be hundreds of dogs with some version of "heaven sent" in their names, it's obviously not affecting any breeder, so why have the rule in place if it's going to be ignored by the admin staff? My prefix is Mainstreet, it's not been used yet and might never be, but I would expect there are dogs with some version of my prefix in their names. If another Border Collie breeder named one of their dogs something that looked VERY similar to my prefix, something that could be misconstrued as being my prefix, I'd jump up and down until it was changed. I don't want to be acknowledged as the breeder of anything other than what comes out of my yard. Other breeds I don't care. A quick check of the prefix and it's easily noted that I breed Border Collies and no other breed. Agreed except that you may want to branch out into another breed one of these days and personally I dont want any dogs of any breed walking around with any name that may make someone think I bred it and have to look twice to be sure I didnt. For a breeder their prefix is like a designer brand and anyone seeing the name Levi for example anywhere in a name assumes its made by the same people who make Jeans - its a good system and protects breeders from having their designer brands being affected by someone else. No biggy for a pet owner it is for us. Good point. Does your prefix have to always go as the first word in the dogs name? If that is the case, why should it matter if there is a similar word used on the backend of a dogs name?? Surely people would then realise that prefix el beshiva isn't bred by Benshiva? (for example) just as people know that a uk reg dog called Benshiva My Pup at Beanara would be bred by Benshiva and owned by Beanara Yes in Australia a prefix must always appear at the beginning of a name and it matters to me.
