I don't have it, but we currently enough savings set aside that if something happened we could pay for it. If we didn't that as a back up plan Id be more inclined to set up a bank account with ING or similar, and made a weekly deposit into there, rather than pay pet insurance.

I do want to think 5 years down the track though, because the camera I buy now, will be with me for a long time. So I want to buy something suitable to last me not only now, but for the years to come. I've decided to wait til July though to see what my tax refund brings, then Ill make a decision.

Nah its fine, and I understand the points. The 7D would be overkill for what I need, but, the next camera I get will be with me another 5 plus years. I finish uni in just over a year, and after that time I will have a life again! so will be spending alot more time with my camera getting out and about. I guess Im thinking, IF i could afford the 7d now, then I do think Id be very tempted as id hate to get 5 years down the track and go damn I wish I spent the extra $500. Im interested in what your saying about the 7D being hard to use though, and having to set it up?? Oh and btw the 7d came down in price on DWI in the last few days by about $150 I think it was. I can't remember the price of the 60d before so not sure if that came down too. ETA - I did orginally want a 40D a few years back, but now im looking again I thought Id be better off going to the 60D over the 40D. My BIL has the 40D though and its a nice camera.

I think people are just putting my options out there. If you can go one better, than why not I guess.

It cracks me up everytime I look at it. Such a serious look. Maybe he was too scared to move incase they fell off

Thanks Rubiton - I wish I knew someone round here that would lend me a 7d for a day so I could have a go.

At first glance I liked the second one best, but now after looking for a bit longer the first one has grown on me

Ahhh interesting. Thanks! I knew there had to be a better way than fiddling around in photoshop erasing all the colour I miss lightroom. I hope to have it back soon.

Thanks Kja. Definately won't be doing anything in the next few weeks. Im in no hurry, my 350D is going along fine, but I would like to upgrade at some stage - Im hoping in June for my birthday!

Id love the 7D, I just don't think the budget will let it happen. I might have to hang off and see what my tax refund looks like in July ETA - Love the photos - especially the first one with the flying grass

If so just wondering what you think about it. Whoops posted before I meant to. Im thinking about upgrading from my 350d that has done me well over the last 5 years. 7d is out of my price range, so Im looking at the 60D. Only really just starting looking so open to everyones opinions.

I love the last one. He's too cute.

Levi (quaker parrot) and Riley both become excitable around 6.30 when my OH gets home. Riley starts waiting and the window, then Levi starts getting noisy. I kinda think Riley picks up the time from the neighbours tune on the tv though, then the bird picks up on Rileys excitement.
