  4. Riley gets more presents than anyone in this house My mum even said she'd bought him some personalised baked bones! He gets quite a few new toys wrapped up, and always a bone because its funny to watch him walk around with a wrapped bone in his mouth!
  5. Late uploading last weeks, so 2 this week. Week 47 Week 47/52 - Riley by shellandriley, on Flickr Week 48 Week 48/52 - Riley by shellandriley, on Flickr
  6. x2! Since our puppy arrived 4 weeks ago this is an absolute favourite to play tug with and after a while you don't really hear the squeaking!!! That squeak! Riley jumps on his snake and the noise drives me batty. Ours has to be hidden in the cupboard every now and again for some piece and quiet
  7. I used to just get the photo printed at harvey norman, then buy those cards where you just slot the photo in. I used them for our wedding thankyou's too. Then if someone wants to keep the photo, they can too.
  8. I was going to suggest a tug, you can make them really easily out of scrap materials.
  9. Me too It bought a tear to my eye! Very nicely written.
  10. I have to say its becoming a real effort for me now and Im really unimpressed with how uncreative I am with my photos. My hubby always laughs as they are always taken in the same spot. I just don't have time to get out I hope I can stick it out til the end of the 52 weeks though, Ill be cranky if I miss 1 week after all this time. Our baby is due on the 3rd of jan, but could very well come early in December. Not sure how ill go getting my photo done if im in hospital
  11. I practically had to push Riley out the door yesterday to go for a wee. The thing I hate most is when he comes back in with wet feet, he gets super excited about being out of the rain that he races in on tiles and nearly goes head over heal with feet sliding everywhere. Im always worried he'll break his legs! I now go outside with a towel and make him walk on it several times to dry his feet before he can inside, but that makes him even more excited
  12. Just go careful with the wooden nina ottosson toys - they could very likely be seized by customs. Ive been talking to a wholesaler about getting them, but there is a customs issue with the wooden ones (plastic is fine) so they can't import them yet. Thanks for the heads up, I never even thought of that! They aren't always cheaper overseas either ;)
  13. They didn't last 2 minutes here. Riley got the treat out straight away and didn't even bother eating it! They have just recently changed the design though. I was looking at them at a trade expo - you can now get the rod treats to help secure the rounder treat in the ball. I haven't got any in to try yet, as im still a bit hesitant over them. I prefer the good ol kong, canine genious, etc.
  14. What a lovely thought from your husband.

  16. Last weeks shot I only just got around to uploading Week 46/52 - Riley by shellandriley, on Flickr
  17. Does that mean you're left out of pocket for the stuff they have seized?
  18. Riley always get way too much stuff! Its just so funny watching him run around with a toy in his mouth, still in the wrapping paper! So far he's a got a invincible reindeer, a new bottle buddy (the one he got last xmas is looking quite tatty!) and a babble ball. Im still working out what else to give him. Ill get him a packet of treats too, but have to hide those otherwise he takes off with the present before christmas.
  19. Ive never heard of the vaccine before either - certainly sounds interesting. I shall go off and find the link.
  20. Id be pretty hesistant to join a franchise. I've heard not nice things about them! Have you done dog washing before? If not a good start might be volunteering at a rescue washing dogs etc to make sure you like it before you go any further, and that will be a starter for experience too.
  21. I've always used harvey normans website for canvas's. I got a canvas done for one of our wedding pictures when they had a 40% off sale (Which seems to happen quite often). I didn't pay postage as I chose to pick it up from the local store, and it came out really well.
  22. I was at the little group of shops in our suburb a few months back. I could see a couple walking towards us with a little dog, and as the path was a bit narrow, I pulled Riley over the side and put him in a sit, and stood half in front of him so the couple could walk past with their dog. The guy holding his little dog decided to let it walk straight up to Riley and proceeded to bark like mad and nip at rileys feet. Riley stood up and barked back a few times (but a playful bark), until I got his attention back and made him sit again. There was a few people walking past that then proceeded to give me filthy looks, and smile and oohh and ahh over the cute little dog that was trying to nip at Riley's feet. One even made a comment about how dangerous big dogs are. So it works both ways. People always voice their opinions, whether right or wrong. You just need to take no notice of it and carry on and not let it get to you. Its not worth your time or effort to worry about it.
