  1. Thanks Raineth - Yeah he seems to love it. I think sibes are very natural athletes, I know Ronin's sister and mum are water babies but I have heard of others being water-phobic :) Thanks Happypaws - oh yeah, the water is much more fun for me than the pavement at this time of year :D Many thanks BC, we are really enjoying these summer activities Thanks Denali, It was great fun for sure :)
  2. Thanks DDD, it was a great morning, and now Ronin is zonked out so I get to watch the cricket - woo-hoo Tired husky = happy hooman
  3. aw, was he once so tiny?A full on cutie even then! :thumbsup:eta: Jase, if others do not want to look at the photos, they can ignore the thread.... ALL the more for the fans to devour  Thanks very much VM - and yeah it is hard to believe he was a small water-phobic puppy :D Oh, thanks so much Grumpette, comments like this make posting pics so wonderful
  4. First time at the beach this morning. Waves were a bit big but Ronin was okay for the most part :D Again my apologies for anyone that doesn't want to wade through so many shots.
  5. I think she has a hidden agenda to get a play mate for Ronin...cheeky monkey that she is
  6. That photo is exquisite. Thanks DDD :) I am guttered that I only has the phone camera so the quality is not there, but I am very happy to get a crap quality shot of a lovely get together
  7. Thanks Yonjuro. I don't think that I could live with a dog that did not have personality. I hear you there Grumpette :) Many think Huskies are cat-like and lack personality - I can safely say this is not the case in my experience :D Interestingly, apart from greyhounds, Ronins favourite dogs to play and wrestle with are Rotties
  8. Background - My Mum is a young 72 year old and her mini Schnauzer is a frail 12 year old. So my 7 year old daughter is having a chat with her Nana about dogs and how Maxx the Schnauzer is quite old, my daughter perks up and says "Nana, you should get a rescue greyhound when Maxx dies- they are great for old people!"
  9. Very cool photo's of happy dogs. Dee, Baylee and Zeph are crack-ups
  10. Slightly off topic, but I was just remembering what our lovely breeder told me about when Ronin was a wee puppy. Apparently he was not into the water and was the last of his littermates to venture into the splash pool well after the others were regularly playing in it :D ...and now I have a hard time keeping him out of the water
  11. Thanks ! I know what you mean, it was hard to resist but he was having such a nice and well earned snooze I let him be :D
  12. apres this morning's play session... Don't worry I did check and he still has a pulse :D A tired husky is a happy owner :)
  13. Thanks HW, it was a great reunion! They have a special type of rough play that is only reserved for each other. When they chill out, it may only be a few minutes before one decides it is time to pounce on the other and start rough housing again, or try to dig under the one lying down  They will also stalk and try to sneak up of each other if one is lying somewhere a bit further away. It is funny to watch as Ronin gets very low and looks like a tiger when stalking and Tiger just drops his head and walks slowly  Tigger has started to copy Ronin's high pitched vocalisation that he does when he is very excited. We were laughing when we couldn't work out which dog the sound was coming from... and if you know huskies they have a very unique woo woo :D It was really like they were having a conversation about how good it was to play
  14. oh no... do they have rescues for owners? Chin up DDD, you are doing a great job with the littleuns :)
