  1. Excellent - looks like great fun, what beach was that?
  2. :p pun intended? and I did a quick FB search for the iggy club, check out ronin in all his photo bombing glory https://www.facebook.com/groups/132540896955311/ He made the cover photo! Just strolling through the Iggies   Yep, he is a party gatecrasher and always has to be the clown :D
  3. Cool, yeah thankfully he is very gentle with the littleuns, some of the feisty ones snap at him, but it just seems to amuse him and he doesn't react back. It is always a bit concerning when they are all running together but Ronin seems very co-ordinated and just leaps over any sized dog if they are looking to clash. Occasionally a dog will get clipped and takes a tumble, even Ronin will get clipped on rare occasion when zoomies is on. There is a wonderful gutsy little french bulldog (Stella) that mixes it up with the big guys brilliantly. She flies across the park at a speed that is unbelievable Chewy sound like a little ripper
  4. :p pun intended? and I did a quick FB search for the iggy club, check out ronin in all his photo bombing glory https://www.facebook.com/groups/132540896955311/ LOL - I would like to say it was intended, but I would be lying :D Good pick-up :) Thanks for the link of my photo-bomber :)
  5. Thanks so much Aleksandra, I am really pleased you like them :)
  6. Hahhaha yep and very helpful if they get lost too :) I remember TT sending me a PM a while back about a husky lost in my area, thankfully it wasn't Ronin but it was nice to be thought of :) Someone also came up to me at the dog park and had seen Ronin on this forum, apparently the person wasn't a member but was just searching for info about various things - it was quite weird but not in a bad way as you say SG :)
  7. He is such a tart, that is so funny, thanks so much for sharing this story    please forward a pic if you can?? I may have seen a couple of pics as my wife asked if we could briefly join the FB page to see shots from a play day they had. But she has now closed her account.
  8. Thanks - those are what I was thinking about - the roller ball concept may be just what I need. :)
  9. I actually have a stainless steel army canteen, no cup unfortunately - but a good idea nonetheless :)
  10. Quite possibly and I was thinking about this, but I think the price will be similar to the doggies one and the cup may not be wide enough for a husky snout :D
  11. I do have a Hurtta foldable water bowl, which is excellent - but I am after a bottle type unit :)
  12. good idea Roova, and yeah, they are crappy. I normally just unscrew the top, but they are quite unwieldy to use, but reaming it out might help while I am searching for a good one.
  13. Exactly Thanks very much SG :) Now I just gotta plan another adventure with Ronin :D
  14. Thanks for all the responses and ideas. I like the idea of stainless steel as it is great for staying cold and water always seems to taste better than from plastic - for what that worth ? :D I just found this type that look like they might fit my requirements but also like the one RiverStar suggested. http://www.mkdistributors.com/Good_Life_Gear/Welcome_to_Good_Life_Gear.html
  15. Thanks, I will check it out :) They look pretty good, I can't find an aussie retailer though - do you know if they are available in Oz? I don't mind order from overseas if there are no better options :)
  16. Hiya all, I am looking for a water bottle for when we are on the go walking the blocks. I have an old crappy thing that I have had for years similar to this. It really functions poorly as it takes an age to get the water to flow into the 'bowl' no insulation also makes it a poor unit in my opinion - at least the one I have is crappy :) but is around 14 years old LOL Was thinking stainless steel and I have seen some that have a ball bearing that seems like it might be handy? Stainless seems ideal, based on the one my daughter takes to school that stays cold all day. I don't mind buying quality as I will use it every day. I do have some travel bowls, but I don't really want to carry a bowl and bottle on walks or to stop and muck about for too long Anyway I thought I should ask the brains-trust here if they have seem anything new or worth checking out. Many thanks! :)
  17. Thank you so much BC, I am really pleased you enjoy the pictures and thank you for the compliments :) :) :)
  18. Thanks so much HW, I really appreciate you commenting on my posts
  19. Thanks Raineth - Yeah he seems to love it. I think sibes are very natural athletes, I know Ronin's sister and mum are water babies but I have heard of others being water-phobic :) Ahh it's a family trait then :) I have had Del for 5 years and only managed to get her actually in deep enough to float about 6 weeks ago(and only because I was armed with clicker and treats)! I will show her Ronin's photos for inspiration. Good luck - I think what helped us was my daughter and myself going in - there was no way he was going to miss out on being with us :) I also think a river or lake is best to start with as the water is generally flat. A husky person was telling me recently that their dog is fine at the beach or river as he can walk in, but will not go in their swimming pool due to the steps. It was his understanding that lots of dogs don't like stepping down into the unknown... it make sense to me.
