  1. I'm certainly sticking to Calendula, it just came up in conversation with my wife and I thought you might be interested :)
  2. Anything you can do with Calendula for humans you can do for dogs. I think Bur Marigold is a completely different family to Calendula?
  3. My wife was telling me they use Burr Marigold in Russia for lots of skin conditions, often just braking off the flowers and rubbing them on cuts etc. Has there been any use of this for dogs?
  4. Thank you - shampoo and conditioner sample on its way too. Awesome - thanks very much!
  5. Just ordered some tea for me and my mum who has a Mini Schnauzer with itchy skin and brown stained feet from licking - hopefully it helps her boy. Got some cream as well, mainly for my own itchy back! :) If you have a small shampoo sample it would be great.
  6. I brewed around 4 tablespoons worth and added to my huskies clam shell splash pool with around 2 inches of water as he digs in it 6-10 times a day in the hot weather :D So he happily gives himself a rinse and the occasional drink. I do give him a correct dose with a spray bottle all over once a week though.
  7. Snap, this is what we did, more for cooling my boy, but the added bonus was that he has never pawed his drink bowl since Nova will still paw in is bowl on occasion, but because he has the pool I know he'll never go without water if he does happen to do it. I probably should have said, he now only paws his big blue plastic clam shaped dog drinking/swimming bowl

  9. I think you only have two real choices; 1. Do an "Aha No" when he does it, and positive reinforce with a treat when he drinks correctly from the bowl and try to train it out. 2. Get a raised water dish or bucket for him to drink from.
  10. I'll certainly be ordering from Steve next time, I purchased mine before this thread took flight :D
  11. I bought Hilde Hemmes brand Calendula Flower (calendula officinalis) from the healthfood shop. I assume it is okay as it says it contain 50g of the dried herb. If anyone knows if this is no good please let me know.
  12. Ronin likes the floor best
  13. Wow, what a horrible incident! Don't blame yourself for being frozen. I think many would be equally stunned when someone does something so unbelievably stupid.
  14. Happy anniversary HW, we have had our differences in the past but I enjoy your posts.

My breeder mentioned that slippery elm is very good at treating the squirts. I am not sure the doses but a quick google should help. a tablespoon of canned pumpkin is favoured by many husky owners as well. I would imagine that steamed or boiled and mashed would work the same as canned??
  16. My Husky's paws, face and legs are still bright white after a few rinses.
  17. It encased in hard plastic heart and then in a drawstring cotton bag and under velco fasteners in the belly. All toys need supervision, but I have had no issues with mine and believe me, my Husky puppy plays rough.
  18. Great suggestions all, I think that I will stick to the Calendula tea now that I have tried it. Huskies are pretty teflon coated, very clean and seldom smell so the tea rinse is probably the best for my little fella.
  19. Yeah, that part of Ronin's journey was not good and sounds exactly the same.
  20. Having put my puppy through flying from Newcastle to Perth recently, I can say the stress was mostly on my behalf LOL. I would contact Wayrod and fly.
  21. 1 tablespoon x 500ml THanks Steve, How often can it be used? Cheers Good question, I will look forward to the response.
  22. Hiya Jerhigh!!! That was one that caused either a death or illness recently. no way I would use that or any similar imported types. Only Aussie made for me. In answer to your question, my Husky pup is also a shark and Huskies often get tummy upsets. I have been using a bully stick recently and they are awesome, and last around a week. Also use peeled carrot for him to gnaw on. Your best be is to purchase a cheap food de-humidifyer and make your own. You can even dry out chicken in the oven on its lowest setting. edit - I use boiled chicken at training classes, Ronin loves it and wont eat the sausage or other treats people have, which is good in my opinion. Another treat that he has is ZiwiPeak - that is really top notch stuff!
