  1. Just a quick recommendation on the Snuggle Puppy. I bought one and sent it to the breeder before Ronin began his journey to Perth. THe breeder rubbed it over his mum and sister before the flight and it went in the crate. THey cost around $49 but worth it in my opinion
  2. 1 tablespoon x 500ml THanks Steve, How often can it be used? Cheers As often as you like - no side effects. THanks Steve! I'll be contacting you when I run out, thanks to you and Emy for the heads up and advice.
  3. 1 tablespoon x 500ml THanks Steve, How often can it be used? Cheers
  4. Here is a pic of Ronin at around 11 weeks having a comfy snooze in typical husky fashion :D edit - nether regions look very pink in photo but not in person.
  5. How much tea would you recommend to use for a spray bottle for a puppy (husky)?
  6. I just want to check if this is okay... I used around a teaspoon in 400ml of boiling water, left for about half an hour to steep. and then transferred when cool to a spray bottle and soaked by husky puppy who has been scratching a bit. I massaged into his skin. Is this about the right strength, the tea was a pale yellow?
  7. Can't find the original story, but I am pretty sure they were PTS at the vets.
  8. http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/20822557/boy-9-seriously-injured-in-dog-attack/ UPDATE: The owner of two dogs euthanised after mauling a nine-year-old boy says she has never had any problems with the dogs. Ambulance crews were called to a Cooper Street home in Mandurah this morning to treat the youngster for head and arm injuries. He was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in Perth after initially being taken to the nearby Peel Health Campus. The boy's 29-year-old mother and grandmother, 50, also were treated for lacerations. The owner of the female mastiff-cross and male American bulldog surrendered the pets to authorities and the animals were euthanised, a spokeswoman for the City of Mandurah said. The owner, who did not want to be named, said the three injured people were her relatives. They were at the house minding her children while she was out. “I’m in shock,” she told the Mandurah Mail. “There was blood everywhere.” The woman said she had owned the dogs since they were puppies and they had never been violent before. “You can ask our other neighbours - we’ve never had any trouble with them,” she said. Police and local rangers also attended the property this morning.
  9. THe snooza futon beds are pretty good from my experience,
  10. Not sure why, but make sure there is no ammonia in what you clean the mat with as this encourage weeing.
  11. In addition to the crate which is a very good idea, you can also tie a leash to you when possible so he can always be able to be controlled. Another thought is that you could ask the breeder to keep for an extra day or two if you think this better for you, the puppy and work? BTW, what type of dog are you getting?
  12. ok ta Can you let me know how you get on as I am thinking of sending the same to a friend in Russia?
  13. + 1, as longs as you can keep him off grassed areas then it will be perfect in my opinion.
  14. oh no, I am so sorry to hear about this. So difficult for you and I know that words are seldom comforting at a time like this. Celebrate and cherish the good times you shared with this lovely girl. Take care.
  15. "ready now" that is very bad, I hope you have luck in getting them prosecuted. Some people have no idea.
  16. I am sure you are right KC. If I was in the situation with a litter of 5 weeks olds (god forbid, and it will never happen) I would probably want to advertise early so the pups would have homes to go to at 8 weeks. I am sure if someone is really interested in finding out they could just call up and ask when they are ready to go to their new homes. If indeed it is 5 weeks then they should certainly be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
  17. I found my late Schnauzer's snoring to be adorable, sometimes it was very loud too :D
  18. I wonder if they are advertising that they are 5 weeks, but would then say to interested parties that they will be ready to go to new homes at 8 weeks? No doubt I am being optimistic here :)
  19. Maybe have a look at the Augustine Approved products. http://www.naturalpetstore.com.au/d/ASBR2/18/supplements/augustine-approved-augustines-superboost---220g/
  20. I have had great success with an adaptil collar it could be worth a try. The diffusers are better, but I could't use as I have aquariums and they don't mix.
  21. I would contact them again, put in point form what you have mentioned here. Say that you need further treatment after the 10k you have already spent and think it is only fair that you are refunded the purchase price to go towards this. A calm but firm phone call is far more powerful albeit much harder to do with matters such as this. Don't take no for an answer.
  22. This is so sad that you and your pup are having to go through this. I am no a breeder and I can only comment on your side of the story, but I don't think you are trying to get something for nothing. You have spent an enormous amount of money on trying to help this pup, not to mention the emotion strain from your obvious love of this dog. I would have thought that a refund of the purchase price to be quite a reasonable request in your situation. It sounds like this money is necessary for the next treatment or procedure. My feeling on the whole 'return the pup and you can get a refund' is that it can be a bit of emotional blackmail. Most people will assume or be told that the dog will be PTS, so the new owner who has a bond with the puppy will just decide to keep and kiss goodbye any refund. I hope things get sorted, and most importantly, that you and your puppy have a bright future. You should be congratulated for doing so much for your beloved dog.
  23. Yeah, It's pretty bloody awful 44 homes lost so far
  24. What sort of crate is it? If it is one of the airline type they seem to trap a lot of heat and obviously at this time of year it is worse. Wire ones obviously have much more airflow. Its probably too late now but you could try a fan?
